That's the art theft one right? I remember when it got changed a lot of people were complaining about it....but 400 for that piece of shit? pls. At least the Asiimov pattern looks cooler, that's probably expensive due to rarity more than anything.

I wish I hadn't wasted so much money on that stuff though. It's a bit of a gambling addiction with some people, especially if they use 3rd party sites to gamble on the pro matches....but I don't watch it so I never cared about that shit. But it's a huge racket honestly. Teams throwing matches due to the amount of gambling involved. I still have a bunch of skins but I don't really play anymore.

What art theft? yeah I think most of the skin prices are determined by their rarity rather than anything really.. there's no way that the base price for AK Case Hardened is higher than Jaguar if it's not because its rarity lol.

Valve's eSports are really prone to racketeering though, even DotA 2 has a famous 322 meme. Now I wonder if League would have that kind of scandal too lol.

The skin had to be changed since it was a community creation and the original creator stole the art, or he decided not to give his permission for it to be used...I forget.

I only have the WW version though, but I really think that skin is just not that good.. I'd rather have Aquamarine Revenge or Vulcan..

It wasn't about the BEST AK skin...you just brought up 2, and I prefer Case Hardened to Jaguar :XD

I like Vulcan more as well.

No, they have a Token now that can be used to buy sub time with in-game currency. I lucked into a lot of gold and the game is just inflated with gold as it is, so it's easily played for free with a few fully maxed-out characters within the Garrison system. Plus, the NA server has by far the lowest Token prices.

No, it was talked about for a long time apparently, it was only finally implemented during the last expansion. They actually make more money off of people buying Tokens with real money for gold since they cost $20 instead of the lower subscription cost. The earnings report before this they reported profits at an all-time high, but it's likely due to charging more for the expansion than previous ones, the largest return in subs ever. The decline happened after that, and subs are at the lowest point since vanilla even counting people who pay for their sub with gold...who knows how low it would be if no one had a choice in how to pay for their sub.

Why are you playing WoW instead of other MMORPGs anyway? I've been seriously considering to buy FFXIV, but thankfully I've saving for something else. I heard that KOTOR is also planning for a new expansion this year, though I am not completely sure.

I got into the hype after the WoD release. Haven't really looked at other MMOs, and I don't really have the drive to invest any time into anything else right now. I don't expect to stay subbed much longer. Just enough to level some more characters and get enough gold on them for the next xpac probably.

The only games I play right now are WoW or LoL. I'm still behind a bit on Telltale's Game of Thrones.

Well it's a separate thing called Battle Pets. Which function like pokemon battles. But they can also be cosmetic. The Pets you are talking about are usually class or specialization dependent (Hunter/Warlock/Frost Mage/Unholy Death Knight).
