It depend of the target audience.

Show like Shingeki no Kyojin and Tokyo Ghoul were pretty gore for their category, they were obliged to forced to air them late night. On the other hand, BnHA is a pretty basic action shonen manga, I mean by this that it is not more violent than Naruto or One Piece which both are airing during daytime in Japan.

I don't think an anime like BnHA is comparable to animes like Shingeki no Kyojin or Tokyo Ghoul, they don't really have the same audience. The average BnHA fan are much more younger than the average SnK fan.

I was responding to suntaclaus.

What I means is that the reason why SnK of TG Got a huge sales increase is because the target audience for those manga were both more likely to be able to watch an late night anime and that's not the case for the BnHA target audience. I don't think the 8-12 years old demography will think to record an anime which air during the night, let alone watching it live.

If the Production Committee want the BnHA adaptation to be successful as it could be, they need to find a timeslot during daytime. There is no other way around.

What makes one think HeroAca fans are mostly 8-12 yr old fans? I would think that any series that sells really well has ot be one that doesnt not soley have fans in one demographic. No way the 4mln One Piece fans, 1.5-2mln Naruto fans, 1mln Assassination Classroom fans are all just one demographic.

MHA doesnt appeal just to kids or even primarily to kids, MHA is a classic 90s-esque JUMP title in terms of the demographics: it's the coolest thing in the world to elementary schoolers, but also widely liked by older folks.

Whereas something like SnK has a lower age limit at 13-14, it doesnt have a higher age limit than MHA. Basically, MHA appeals to ALL the SnK people, and then more. It's something like the primary demographic being 14-25 for SnK and 6-25 for MHA, not 6-16 like people seem to be implying.

(by the way, the idea that gore and violence are mature is an immature attitude that most people drop in their late teen years, so I see no reason why a 20-year-old would see SnK as more age appropriate than MHA. It's only fifteen-year-olds that think they're too edgy for media that appeals to all ages.)

What I'm trying to say is that similarly to OP, MHA has the potential to conquer an audience of all ages and genders. But that's just my guess, time will tell.

While potential My Hero Academia can conquer an all age and gender audience, they need to have a more specific target audience. Target something to everybody and you end up not hitting anything. "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush"

With the anime, they in the beginning will have to decide if target to kids, older audiences, or any other thing. Unfortunately Prime-time anime time slots are all full, those would be the better for family and the one that later would garner more people of others audiences.

Taking the example of One Piece, it didn't targeted to all audiences either. Not the author of the manga, Oda, nor the animation Studio, Toei animation.

I personally think all the studio needs to do is create a quality adaptation. Do that and the rest will follow

Yeah, I've been known to praise MHA too much, but I really think if a studio does an acceptable job of animating the manga, MHA will become revolutionary. Kids in playgrounds everywhere will play fight calling themselves Deku and calling out attacks, just like we used to pretend to be Goku when we were kids. "Kamehameha!", fusion dancing and shit with your bros. That moment for kids in the playground is what JUMP is really about in my opinion.

I remember back when Naruto made its transition from this thing only manga fans knew about to something that literally EVERYONE knows about. I walked passed my old elementary school and saw these kids playing ninja and pretending they're Gaara and Rock Lee. That's when you really know a shonen manga made it, and that's what I want (and expect) for MHA.

As much as I want all this for MHA, just imagine the series dropping in quality all of a sudden and getting cancelled. :P

Does anyone have the complete raws for "Takuan to Batsu no Nichijou Enma-chou" and "Kung-Fu Master"?

This looks interesting for any aspiring mangaka, or someone who just want to know the process behind how their favorite manga is made. Do Japanese DVDs work on standard computer DVD player?

Buy jump digitally.
Is it even possible for someone from the States to purchase a Japanese digital magazine? Don't you have to input a Japanese street address? I know amazon kindle makes it a pain in the ass.

I was sure it was extremely simple to switch kindle regions since you just need to use a fake address.

It isn't.

To be for sure, you can pretty much only have it on one region at a time. I can only buy things from Japanese Amazon, and while I could probably just restart my kindle and switch to the US store, it is anything but extremely simple.

They should, but you'd eventually lock in your region which might make it difficult to watch US movies. I'm sure there's a workaround, but that's a thing.

How is that not simple? Its not like a memory card for a popular electronic where you need to completely wipe the devices memory, then use jpn currency to make the purchase. Further kindle downloads are lightning fast. Promoting accessing illegal content due to one being lazy is pretty terrible.

But then what if I want to buy Japanese things again? Should I then restart the kindle again? The point you made is that the process is simple. If you have to restart your device every time you want to buy from a different region, how on earth is that simple?

Moreover, I never once promoted accessing anything illegally. I pointed out that it isn't as easy as you make it to make digital purchases. I think it's equally as terrible provide a solution to someone when you haven't tried it yourself, and aren't sure how it works.

I have tried it? Why else would I say it is "simple"? As an electronics user, theres other system where its way more involving and impractical due to having to delete or wipe data or find someway to use jpn currency which is far from simple.
