One Piece Film: Gold is the 13th One Piece movie, which will be released in Japanese theatres on July 23, 2016. The movie was first announced following the broadcast of Episode of Sabo.[1] The title and release date of the film was revealed in the first 2016 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The magazine also announced that the film will be directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto, scripted by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, and that Eiichiro Oda will serve as the film's executive producer, as he did with the previous one. Kintaro Luffy wears a shimenawa, so my guess this could take place during the Wano arc.
Again in Japan it's supposed to come out in July, so there's plenty of time for us to reach that point in the manga. The current arc could end up being a short one.

Oda specifies the color of his suit as pink in the rough sketch ("ピンクのスーツ").
He also says the flower on his left chest is a pale pink rose.

He is responsible for the largest entertainment city in the world. The city is also a "ship" where Straw hats are heading for.

The length of the golden ship/city is 10 kilometers. It is acknowledged by World Government as an independent nation.

Some more information about Gildo Tesoro(the villain's name).
He rules Gran Tesoro, which is an entertainment city that is completely free of WG control. Tesoro owns 20% of the wealth in the world, which is why the WG allows him to do anything he wants. His DF is called the Goru Goru no mi, which is safe to assume stands for "Gold".
Gotta say the animation looks great,it's definitely better than the anime.If only the latter had the same quality as this.
The SHs getting abducted or defeated by the villain is getting old. It's like Shiki and Baron Omatsuri too (btw that is my favorite OP movie, it's rather creepy especially towards the end).

I still do think that Shiki deserved his own arc rather than a movie, but let's see what this villain will do (I just hope he won't end up being too epic tho)

Additional updates: New Guest Cast Members for One Piece film: Gold 2016
Comedian, Kendo Kobayashi as Dice, a gigantic card dealer and part of Gildo Tesoro's crew.
Actor, Arata Furuta as Kent Beef Jr. and Pork, two partners who compete in the turtle car race with Luffy.
Comedian, Korokke as Jimmy Myers, another turtle car racer, and the Red Eyed Owls that cry out when intruders are detected.
Comedian, Nadaru as Morkin, a member of the Long Long Pirates who attack the Straw Hat Pirates.
Hikari Mitsushima as Carina, a popular and mysterious songstress in Gildo Tesoro's crew, with ties to Nami's past.
Gaku Hamada as Mr. Tanaka, a devil fruit user who ate the Nuke Nuke no Mi devil fruit. With his secretive devil fruit powers he is in charge of Gran Tesoro's internal security.
Nanao as Baccarat, who ate the Raki Raki no Mi devil fruit. When she touches someone, their luck changes. She is a mysterious and elegant woman who acts as an escort for the Straw Hat pirates. She is Gran Tesoro's concierge who attends to VIPs visiting the area.
Kinya Kitaoji as Reizu Max, a famous gambler who is actually a key figure in the Revolutionary Army.
Gildo Tesoro is a casino king who controls the huge golden ship Gran Tesoro. He is a devil fruit user who ate the Goru Goru no Mi fruit. He is an extremely rich man who is said to possess 20% of the monetary "Beli" that exist in the world.

Doflamingo and famiri are in this movie ? So this might mean it happens before Dressrosa...
(It would be nice if, for example, Doflamingo leaves at the start of the movie exactly when Luffy and co. arrive, and Doflamingo recognizes Luffy and thinks to himself: "Hmm, I bet something fun will happen". But yeah, that's not going to happen unless it's post-timeskip and before Punk Hazard, because otherwise Doflamingo would have a reason to go after Luffy because of the alliance.).
As expected, Gear 4 will make an apparition, but still I feel like that trailer showed a bit too much in terms of final forms/final fight. Now that I think about it, I hope Doflamingo stuff is a Tesoro flashback of some sort, because otherwise it would imply that the first time G4 was used was before Dressrosa... But hey, the movie isn't canon probably (or is it?) so I guess nobody will care.
The only thing I "dislike" is that, kinda like with Baron Omatsuri's island which I've already mentioned, they always find a way to incapacitate all the SHs except Luffy, so that he saves the day.
I get that they can't be directly beaten otherwise people would complain about characters' strength and training, and they can't exactly be too OP or else the plot would have some issues, but I just wish they'd use a different plot device instead of re-hashing the same scenarios over and over again...
All I'm saying is based on the couple of trailers that I've seen so far, so I could very well be wrong, which would be a good thing.
Here's more update of the One Piece Film Gold from ANN.
The Japanese entertainment company, T-Joy, has announced that the Film will be screened in English and Chinese subtitles in 5 Japanese cities across various theaters/cinemas. It looks like the Japanese production is not only getting more entertaining and appealing to the locals, but also to the foreigners residing in Japan and the visitors in the country. This is a good measure for tourism.

Did this happen with previous movies? Hopefully this means that we can get to watch a decent version not long after it premieres, for one it means that there will be no need for fansubbing, if I understood correctly.

Well, I'm just getting excited as the date draws near and keeps track of any of the Film's news frequently. If you happen to see any other related news, please do keep us posted.
From my understanding, the subtitles (English and Chinese) will be inserted in the film on the first (official) day of the screen, which is 23rd July. Unlike the past, subtitles are added only after a few weeks later after its official opening.
It is an inbound tourism project in Japan called "YOKOSO! EIGAKAN!" that is organised by T-JOY Co., partnering with The Japan Foundation. An example of the "project" can be found here. In cooperation with the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the "movie-screening" project will show the latest Japanese movies with foreign language subtitles aiming at visitors from overseas and non-Japanese people living in Japan.
The number of visitors is increasing in Japan and people visit Japan for various reasons. Besides the sight-seeing which is common among tourists/visitors, there is a great tendency for them to experience different activities which are unique in Japan, and watching the latest Japanese movies will be one of the many experiences.
There are other animated films that have been adopted by the project, like Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection which was screened last year. It was very well-received by the locals and visitors and with the encouraging results, the company is targeting more visitors this time round.
I think this is a very good initiative as Japanese culture has been widely spread to many parts of the world and its entertainment industry is flourishing. Through its animation and movies for example, it will attract a lot more non-Japanese to the country.
With the insertion of subtitles as the film is screened, I suppose if the One Piece fandom groups are able to get hold of it, it will save them the trouble of fansubbing it.
