Buddy Strike isn't actually cancelled the editors are just pretending it's cancelled, they're trolling, it's on hiatus now & it would get the lead cp & the cover when it return! after all "how could a manga with such epic characters designs fail?"

on a serious note, Gintoki is dead last & Saiki in bottom 5, plus the new manga look like ecchi harem garbage
overall this isn't s good week 4 me

Saiki Kusuo is an episodic manga. Every chapter is self contained.
So, the audience will like some and dislike some chapters.
The low ranking probably was one of the least favourite chapter. I follow this manga weekly and i think i know which chapter is responsible for the low ranking...

Thanks for deciding that just from the genre. I can't comprehend why people hate ecchi stuff lately. A shounen magazine without an ecchi manga is a sad magazine.
When has an ecchi manga not been garbage?

> shy beta male mc
> big plot chick clinging on to him for no apparent reason
> milf drooling in the background
> a loli standing behind him
> a tsun tsun with purple hair in the background
> a furry with green hair in the background

oh yeah, this manga will be a masterpiece

Girlservice is off and blehhh, manservice is ok and wowwowo. I don't discuss stuff with hypocrites because it's pointless. It's not about being good, original, story writing or other stuff, it's just about an easy entertainment. Nothing more actually.

And guys, it's hard to be an ecchi manga. It's really hard, you can say that all it needs is the art, but thanks to it, it can be replaced in no time. Any instability brings it down. You know, it's not doing any harm to you just giving a panty flash or something. You can hate the overly sexual types of this ecchi genre, but don't get it when there's hate on something pretty innocent.

And yet, I have the feeling that the lack of the ecchi stuff lately in Jump will make this series survive. My bet is on it.

A good author make a crap you allways hate look a golden crap who make you love.
Also we need echii in the magazine because not all audience see jump for the cute boy or alpha males. And a detective manga would be fine too.

It has higher chance on surviving unlike some Baseball manga that's only 11 chapters.

Plus ecchi mangas has always helped WSJ to be more balanced for their targeted audience.

I'm not saying it will succeed or it will fail, I'm saying it look like every other harem trash ever

"we are covering every fetish ever"
"you like furry? here's your waifu
"you like lolis? here's a waifu"
"you like tsun? here's a waifu"
"waifu for everyone"
"everyone wins!"

also, if you visit this thread often you know I hate (cute boys doing sports things) as much as I hate fanservice wish fulfillment trash

All medium is arround to pander your fetish and do you like, harenshit and nekketsu is the same.
I agree this look awfull but maybe this isn't 100% rom com and have battle or the personality and Character develop of the character are great here, better wait.

Is this the longest time One piece has gone without a break in the last couple of years or is it just me? I keep thinking there will be one this week but there isn't. Not that I'm complaining, mind you since the manga is actually pretty interesting right now.

Well welcome to Japan, where the Fujos are slowly taking over and the male otaku need fanservice or its a no buy.:-_- Sadly I want more Manly manga like Toriko and Jojo and FoTNS but that genre is almost dead. Hell I mean most Mangka are doing harem because that's where the moneys at unfortunately like I said I blame LNs

There are some awful tropes in the harem ecchi genre alright. I hate "opening endings" in romance, it's basically an author not having the guts to make a good story because we have to praise everyone and MC can't pick a "waifu". But execution is all that matters at the end of the day imo so if the author does a good job with them I am ok. Also yeah I agree with Torca I don't get why a panty flash is such a big deal when we have shows like Free! that are filled with so much manservice. It's an ugly double standard.

I know, it still hurts though but I never known anyone in the west that got into Harem genre, most people I meet are into shoujo or Blue Exorcist

I'm keeping an open mind, but I can't promise I'll keep an open mind after I read its first few chapters

I'm not asking for a manly alpha male manga either, I just want to read something enjoyable
I have no problem with a story that have fanservice, I like (SnS, NnT, ..) I have a problem with manga that's just fanservice with some story thrown in (FT, Yamada,...)

^Fanservice of any kind is not a bad thing per se. But if it is too much it really takes away so much enjoyment because characters become bland and a stereotype, relationships are hollow and you can't take them seriously anymore and like you said the "plot" suddenly took a break.
And If I can't connect with characters in a story or if I feel like their interactions are forced as hell just because the author wants to cater to a specific target audience then I am done with it.
