Why would they cancel a series that is already close to ending? Actually, it trimming the harem in order to end is one of main reasons for its bad ranking.
I rest my case.

----------

Anyway, I expect next week's WSJ to have more info on S2 of SnS, since it was announced a while ago it'll be airing this summer. :)

Summer was the likeliest time for it, unless people thought it was going to be a Spring anime.

This place is still alive and I'm happy for that, been years since I was here last. I made another video ranking of sales to Jump series, new and more updated hope you will like it.

^ for stuff like this i think we should divide the sales figures by the number of volumes to get a more accurate estimate of a title popularity

saying a manga that have +100 volumes sells more than a manga that have 7 volumes is ridiculous

like not s*** Sherlock

Jump Next 2016-1 back cover:

That Nun though. For a minute I was about to ask if Nakayama had come back. Sadly I was disappointed, but a lot of these look interesting if not really crazy.

It seem that world trigger anime will be cancelled. So the manga will have like 2-3 more months before jump axe it.

World Trigger has strong volume-sales, solid rankings (ignoring the time when it was appearing irregulary and had faux-rankings), video games, lotsa merchandize and a rather huge recently released databook. It's not even certain that the anime gets cancelled permanently or will be just on hiatus because it almost reached the recent manga chapters.
Suggesting that it will get axed within this year when there's already half of the long-running WSJ-series ending soon-ish is pretty ridiculous. At this point it wouldn't surprise me if it survives both Toriko and Bleach.

The series is great i don't know why you guys keep asking for it to get axed... Gintama , Bleach and Nisekoi will end before WT for sure
Well, for Nisekoi that's a given, for Gintama it's too close to call and for Bleach, well, you know. Bleach could easily end in early 2018 for all we know so I think WT will go out first.

People may argue with you because they don't realize that for Shueshia sales don't matter as much they think they do unless the series in Bleach, but I agree that without an anime, World Trigger is likely to go the way of most other series that lost their anime and be cancelled probably by the end of this year.

I don't really have a huge attachment to World Trigger despite having been reading it since it began serialization. It's a neat battle manga that does some things uniquely, and I won't say it's bad, but it's pretty flawed imo. For that reason I won't be broken up to see it go.

It's neat though, we're going to have a lot of pretty dominant series ending this year with; AssClass, Gintama, Nisekoi, Toriko, and now World Trigger.
That's going to leave Jump with only three series that didn't begin their serialization in this current decade (with Bleach probably ending next year) resulting in almost entirely very fresh new lineup .

Isn't this situation the same thing happen in 1995-1996 (Golden Age of Jump) ? Dominant series ended around the same time ?

Yu yu hakusho ended in july 1994 , followed by Dragonball in May 1995, then Slam Dunk in 1996 and Dragon Quest: Dai no Daibōken in 1996.

But then we got Yugioh and Rurouni Kenshin serialized in 1994 , then One Piece in 1997 , Hunter x Hunter in 1998 and Naruto in 1999.
for a smaller list we have Houshin Engi in 1996, Shaman King in 1998 , and Hikaru no Go in 1999 .
