I can understand that, but Reborn was more popular than both Toriko and Nisekoi but it got axed, and let's not forget the big one Saint Seiya which was also rushed to an ending. Maybe their business practices changed in the last three years....
Reborn lived for 9 years, Toriko is doing 8 this year. So if it ends this year will have less time than Reborn. Nisekoi is doing 5 years so is nowhere close to those 2 cases.
Also in the Magazine and as a overall Franchise Toriko is more popular than Reborn! Just in volume sales, where they are close to each other, Reborn was in overall better.

Saint Seiya lived for 5 years, Bleach was for 8 years in the Top 3 series. In terms of contribution to the magazine Bleach did obviously way more than Saint Seiya.

Note that letting a series live longer or not is dependent of the moment and isn't something that is comparable between series. You can't say because a series X is more popular than Y, than it will be cancelled later than Y.

I don't think their business practices changed at all, just different circumstances.

Nisekoi has clearly been rushed to end, anyone reading it knows it. I'd say since the conclusion of the Marika rescue arc.. Since that arc, some weird really long time skips happened.

While the 3rd year of school is being rushed through, the story composition is not rushed. When the "China-Sensei Elimination Arc" started, it was clear that Komi was bringing Nisekoi to end and that he would start cutting the girls from the harem and going to the final arc. Two locket-holding girls (China.sEnsei and Marika) got larger arcs, secondary girls got shorter elimination arcs (as popular as some like Tsugumi are, they are still too secondary to get more), secondary couple got a short arc for themselves and now we are in the arc where out hero decides which of the two remaining girls he loves. Giving each girl a long elimination arc might be annoying for the audience and would be very annoying for the writer who has to make up BS just to flashily kick the girl out of the harem.

It may feel strange, but I think that's mainly because the readers are used to Nisekoi being extremely slow-paced and having irrelevant arcs.

The Gap was pretty sizable
"Toriko 26 volumes 17 million
Toriko 28 volumes 19 million
Reborn 25 volumes 20 million
Reborn 26 volumes 21 million"
Credit to moverman75
Thanks that was insightful...

That is not much when 21 to 17 Million of 26 volumes means that each volume has only around 154k more copies in print than the other series.
Also note that there is a difference in source of the info. Toriko was info that came with the volume, so exactly the 1st print of the respective volume. Reborn was info in articles in the internet, so milestones, we don't know if it was exactly when the 1st print of the volume was made.

Also if you look at 1st print of individual volumes you have:

620k - Reborn 18
580k - Toriko 18

590k - Toriko 19
630k - Reborn 21

610k - Reborn 26
540k - Toriko 29
600k - Rebron 31

In the end is not a pretty sizable gap when you have staff like:

Bleach 26 volumes -> 35 million(690k more per volume than Toriko)
Naruto 26 volumes -> 50 million(1.3M more per volume than Toriko)
One Piece 26 volumes -> 73 million(2.2M more per volume than Toriko)

even Gintama has a bigger gap:

Gintama 26 volumes -> 23 million(231k more per volume than Toriko)

That's being rushed in my book, "oh I decided the day I will confess*, *next chapter, 6 month time skip* we are at that date. Komi writing doesn't work this way, we are talking about the guy who teased several times the Marika arc in the future.. And he never skipped for that arc alongside several others examples where he teased happenings, but never did time skips(until now), he skipped anniversaries, holidays... Just isn't normal.
I can't even remember the last comedy chapter, must have been 1 year ago.

It was indeed clear he was bringing the manga to the end, because he was rushed to do it.

With that said I don't really care, manga lost all interest when Marika left. Last good chapters were the haru ones.. Since then we have komi trying to justify the end girl.

Gotta make room for future series.
I think this is the period where the most new series have stayed in the magazine, at least in a long time. HeroAca, Black Clover, Mononofu, Samon, possibily Yunna-san, maybe Kimetsu no Yaiba.

Honestly, I'd make the argument that we have one of the best line-ups of new series in Jump history right now.
My Hero Academia, Hinomaru Sumo, Mononofu, and Straighten Up! are some of my favorite Jump series period.
The only other example of a great line-up of new series this good I can think of would be when we got One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Shaman King, Hikaru no Go, and Rookies so close together.

Jump+ started a new series called Fire Punch, it's... definitely not something that could run in the magazine. Kind of reminded me of Iron Knight, but way, way darker.

Looks like another week in which HeroAca struggles to get all old volumes to chart in the weekly. The glacially slow pace of the anime is hurting the series sales potential extensively.

Someone doesn't beat around the bush. Geez. Though this reminds me I need to check out Jump + more often..
Oh, that's not even what I was talking about when I said it would have trouble getting in Jump.
...Well, at least not the main thing.

they don't show the 2 characters actually kissing, just the 2 characters immediately after they kissed

for some reason that reminds of yugioh abridged skit "(Joey offscreen): It is implied that I am punching you!!"

They didn't even kiss at all, it's what she's saying that's the issue.
Brother... Will you... make a baby with me?
But yeah, it's the stuff that happens later in the first chapter that really surprised me. It'll be interesting to see if that's the theme the series is going to stick with.

Don't worry.
It doesn't go anywhere.
Because she dies.
MC has a regeneration power and is repeatedly cutting off his own arm to feed the rest of his village during a famine. (His sister wanted to bone him because they're literally the only ones alive who're young enough to have kids, although she does say she loves him so yeah.) A guy with the power to create fire that never goes out appears and burns the entire village because he saw them eating human meat. MC is kept alive by his power and sees his sister burn to death in front of him, and is unable to move while the fire never goes out and he just burns alive for eight years until he can finally move his body again, and swears to kill the guy who did it. And he's still burning, which basically means eternal torment and inability to wear clothes.
