Altairis nature = kill a man
man = natsu
It seems to have been a darkness type heavenly body magic.

But, in that case, excellent. And this is pre-pre skip Abyss Break. Sieghart casted one that took up more space than Sema, I bet Jellal can now do the same as well.
Altairis imo has a much more devastating effect. Simon died after setting up a spell to defend himself. So I thought maybe we did not see its "true" nature.

your reasons are flawed, Natsu endured some of zeref's attack and you are saying Jacob > Natsu rofl
* one of zeref's attacks.

Bruh ToH's composition had the property to absorb Etherion not any spell.
Yes,and Etherion is stronger than any spell in the series so far, considering it literally kept an entire EMPIRE at bay for several years.
I'm not saying Jellal is stronger than Etherion,on the contrary I'm actually taking it into account here, but the fact that one of his spells could destroy that whole tower, its residents and all,is something that I feel is being underrated heavily here...
Do you think a FDKM Demolition Fist could have the same effect on the Tower?

Okay, let me throw this one at people.

Throughout the manga, we've seen Natsu grow and we've also seen that in the last year especially that he did an immense amount of training in that year, and became strong enough to one-shot someone who was just as strong as Gildarts with ease, which is quite impressive.

Jellal on the other hand has never actually shown any signs of any growth whatsoever throughout the eight years since the ToH, so without anything to actually indicate he got stronger its actually pretty clear to me that he's been at the strength to one-shot Neinhart since ToH. Now if you remember that just a thoughtform was enough to have him recognized as powerful enough to become a Wizard Saint and enter the magic council, then it becomes a whole lot more believable that Jellal has always been at this level.

Now if you think back to Natsu at that time who when in Dragon Force defeated Jellal, the most powerful person in the manga at that time, with just a few punches, then it makes Natsu's feat at the time all the more impressive. And, seeing that Natsu is now much stronger while as I've stated above, Jellal has shown no signs of actually growing stronger in anyway whatsoever, then I think its clear that Natsu could actually clean Jellal up even faster than he did back in the ToH arc as he's much stronger, faster etc. now.

But you need to think that the higher he goes the less his accuracy is going to be, and seeing Grand Chariot doesn't have a feat of traveling too far, that'd leave him to drop big Sema's again and again which are very draining on him. And if he is going to do this from really high up like you said, then Natsu could potentially get in a position to avoid the majority of the attack, perhaps even fully avoid it.
> one-shot someone who was just as strong as Gildarts

How misleading. Gildarts was nerfed, and then he one-shotted bluenote. Mashima EXPLICITLY drew Gildarts face right before Natsu one-shotted to show us that Natsu was now as strong as Gildarts.
Here it is:

> Jellal on the other hand has shown no growth throughout the eight years

First off, the only only reason Natsu has been shown to have so much growth is because he's the MC. This fight isn't going to tolerate any of natsu's MC nakama BS growth. Jellal's had growth, just because he isn't the MC doesn't mean it hasn't happened.

> the flying thing
That was a joke.

Sorry I'm just going to add my 2c on oneshots... Neither Natsu or Jellal truly oneshotted (jellal's is more of a oneshot, I actually don't have a big problem with people saying he oneshotted, but not Natsu).

Jacob took very minor damage before demolishing strike, and being airborne gave Natsu a free hit. But if Natsu enters FDKM he can effect demolishing strike or a roar very easily, these are quick spells. Jacob however didn't have the opportunity for transport as he was launched in the sky.

Neinhart had no damage, and is a better candidate for a oneshot tbh. But Jellal didn't fight Neinhart either. Neinhart sent Simon who Kagura took out. That is all Neinhart tried to do to Jellal, just make Simon. Jellal was allowed to tee-off on Neinhart basically. Simon could have at least stopped Jellal from casting GC, we've seen Sema/AB stopped before from interference.

Woah woah. The FIRST time Jellal casted Grand Chariot, he wasn't tired one bit.
I can only infer that it's because Jellal used more power in this GC (taking out Neinhart is a much better feat than any of his old ones). His magic is on a much higher level now, and he intended to kill Neinhart, so I'm pretty sure what we saw was a full-powered GC. If we reduce the effort he uses so that he isn't tired and doesn't need to cause the skies to part, then obviously the damage done will be lower too.

Anyways, Jellal can't sustain Natsu's attack at all, he couldn't at toh and he won't now.
Well he had Igneel's powers thats why he survived it as he was able to burn through them.

He tanked some of it. Igneel power has nothing to do with his defence.

Hold on hold on hold on. You say Natsu didn't one-shot Jacob, yet Gildarts oneshotted Bluenote when both fights had both sides exchanging blows? Please, if you're calling Gildarts vs Bluenote a oneshot then why isn't Natsu vs Jacob a oneshot by the same right? Its not consistent.

MC or not, Natsu has shown an incredible amount of growth, and its been stated continually that he's growing, has trained to be stronger etc. He's got evidence of getting stronger. Jellal on the other hand has no evidence of actually getting stronger in the manga, absolutely nothing. You can't claim he's gotten stronger without anything stating such. After all, whats been stated in the manga goes. It hasn't been stated in the manga that Jellal has grown stronger, nor has it been shown. Therefore its the only correct conclusion that he hasn't actually grown much, if all during those eight years.

That burning thing was helped by Igneel's flame by a bit but Natsu only tanked one other physical spell from Zeref and it wasn't even black arts.

now are people saying he survived Zeref so his defense is Godlike. that's the same argument that Gildarts have. he survived Acnologia so he is a God tier.
Gildarts said he survived by chance, it's not even a comparison to start with

i suggest you to reread that chapter again.

I don't know but remember destruction /=/ power.
For e.g : Sting's Holy breath caused more destruction than any of Natsu or Gajeel's attacks however they were barely affected but Natsu's secret art defeated both Rogue and Sting however it didn't cause much damage the surroundings.

I'm not underrating AB though. I agree it is a powerful spell.

Jellal hasn't shown growth? You can look at GC and see growth, in Tartoros his GC wounded the OS whereas in this arc it flat out one-shotted a Spriggan. That's a massive improvement. Hargeon's entire skyline being changed is also proof of growth, GC has never done that before either.

Alright, I'll show you such.

Look at his grand chariot from ToH -> to GM -> to Alvarez. It went crazy soaring high in power.

The BEST comparison is tenrou level Erza vs the Oracion. The oracion seis in that part of the story were all FT S-Class Wizards on par with Erza (in cobra's case, possibly even higher). This excludes Sorano.

Jellal goes from being a regular powerhouse to being able to fight THREE Erza level characters + Sorano AT ONCE. That's INSANE. That's more than Gajeel & Natsu vs Laxus, FF Gajeel < tenrou Erza, FF Base Natsu < Erza, and Jellal was about the same level as FF Laxus during ToH.

So 1.5 Erzas to 3.5ish Erza's and no to probably much more in Alvarez, he's grown plenty much and you're just running out of arguments.

You fell for my trap card right there with the arc comparisons. In ToH, Jellal was holding back a lot as he didn't want to destroy the Tower of Heaven (until he ultimately got super triggered at the end). At the grand magic games, Jellal didn't have to hold back as he wasn't caring about not breaking his precious little tower so he could do the deed for his little Zeref-kun. Come Alvarez, Jellal was triggered again and had the intent to kill Neinhart, hence he really threw a lot of power into that Grand Chariot.

Again, Jellal was holding back in the ToH, and this is a fact. He specifically stated he was holding back as he didn't want to break the ToH, so him suddenly being a bit stronger when not holding back against the OS is very believable. Unlike the Neinhart fight, Jellal didn't have the intent to kill, only to stop the Oracion Seis and then recruit them to Crime Sorciere so he wasn't letting rip as much as what he did against Neinhart. If you get my point here, he's always been holding back his true destructive power a bit until the Neinhart fight where he used his true strength (after getting taken out the first time). He declared he'd sin again, and the sin was killing Neinhart for hurting the inferior waifu Erza (Jegura OTP).

As my point earlier, Jellal has always been on this level, even at the ToH. He's just been holding back the entire time because it suited his purpose. So no, I'm not running out of arguments, I'm just now bringing out the serious argument that he's always been this level, which is supported by there being no signs of any growth from him after the ToH.

Of course Demolition Fist can destroy the tower, heck TOH DF Natsu managed to destroy the thing when he punched Jellal through it.

jellal's meteor and the feats he showed fighting OS, like reading through cobra's attack, is enough for him to beat natsu in CQC and evade all his attacks.

while everyone is getting surprised by the spriggan's 12 sheer MP. Jellal showed no sign of worry being on spriggan's presence.

shouldn't bring their ToH fight but since everyone is talking about it, natsu only won through PiS. natsu wouldn't be in the series right now if not for erza and simon. :P

He did beat him though lmao. FDKM Natsu dealt a huge majority of the damage needed to put Jacob out of commission with one hit, which you can read in Chapter 479 of the manga called "Fairy Tail" by Hiro Mashima ;)

Oh, but did he? I suggest that you re-read the whole battle.

That his strongest punch is capable of breaking through his durability only puts FDKM Natsu's attack on Spriggan level. The rest of Natsu isn't Spriggan level.

1 VS 1, Jacob vs Natsu, Jacob beats him as soon as he decides what magic he's going to use: stealth or space magic.

That Natsu gave Jacob the final blow does not put Natsu, by any means, above Jacob.

I'm not talking about FDKM Natsu being capable or not capable of beating any other spriggan, that's another topic. But he ain't defeating Jacob. Heck, Lucy has better chances at beating Jacob than Natsu.

I humbly don't understand how you may think Natsu could 'escape' Jacob's dimension or dodge attacks when using Stealth :S Lucy can undo his spatial magic and Leo can perceive him even through stealth.

Lol xD, so Jellal is still on Wizard-saint tier ( a level which is fodder at the current arc) and he didn't improve, just because nobody stated it or it wasn't shown clearly ( although he learned new magic after the first time skip already, true heavenly body magic)!!!!!
Weren't you the one that said, Natsu vaporized the entire lake although noone confrmed it with words in the manga and it's not necessary because it was heavily implied !? Do not get me wrong I honestly do not care if Natsu vaporized the whole lake or only a part of it with his mere aura. Fact is, it's an impressive feat but you are kinda contradicting yourself!
Jellal wants to kill Zeref so he has become stronger too and is on spriggan tier now ;) !!!!!
