According to the tournament rules, words that have been said (e.g Jacob's explanation of transport) are perfectly fair. IF Natsu was taken into transport before being able to do anything (let's say a surprise attack), *clap clap* it's over.

Fortunately, I consider your guys' arguments can can agree that Natsu in FDKM with DF speed and FDKM burning can possibly defeat Jacob.
Well that is exactly the thing though. People assume that had Happy not intervened Jacobs Transport was guaranteed to be pulled off sucessfully and get rid of Natsu. We don't have any confirmation on that though.

In the end though it is basically like this in Jacob VS Natsu:

If Natsu hits Jacob before Transport kicks in Natsu wins. If he doesn't Jacob wins. It is therefore a quite literal Coin Toss. The Very Same applies to Jellal and Jacob though with a twist. In Jellals Case Jacob still has his weapons because so far even though he does use fire magic we have not seen him melt to the degree Natsu does so it's safe to assume that his fire Magic is not on Natsus level.

Well at this point Gray hasnt really been training for END or anything, he's just been trying to gather information on him, which was one of the reasons why Gray joined Avatar. He's spent a lot of time hanging out with Juvia and gathering info on Avatar and the training he's done doesn't seem nearly as intensive as Natsu's.

I agree that Gray and Natsu were holding back during their fight, but I also think the main focus of that scene was the dialogue between them, not the fighting. Therefore, I don't think that battle is a very good way to judge their strength in relation to one another.

I'm not saying that there's no way that Gray is as strong as Natsu right now, I'm just saying its a rather large assumption to make when we haven't really seen any feats from Gray or anything to indicate just how much he's improved.
Well it's obvious Natsu wins this battle between Jellal. Jellal got one attack this entire arc whilst Natsu got multiple.

There are so many Natsu fans boys that it doesn't matter how strong the enemy is, they think he can beat them.
well, Natsu is the hero of FT. he will always have more modes, attacks, wins, feats, screentime. I don't find him that interesting.

as I said before, this is a toss up for me. I say Jellal takes this.

Yea Gray and Juvia took time to train but that was only for half a year and even then it didn't seem like they were focusing on training, they were just living together and training just happened to be a small part of their daily routine. Natsu, on the other hand, had the entire year and literally his only reason for even going on his journey was to train, so it's reasonable to assume that he trained a lot more than Gray did.
I'm going with Jellal winning high diff against FDKM Natsu. Not going to take DF Natsu into consideration as the current version is featless.

Again, I'll go what I said in terms of attributes to compare the two, and added a few in.

Magic power: Jellal
Magic Variety: Jellal
DC: Slight edge to Natsu. I value charged GC to be on par with most of FDKM attacks
CQC: Slight edge to Natsu. Jellal was able to knock down and react to Racer without even using magic
Durability: Natsu
Endurance: Natsu (not a huge edge)
Travel movement speed: Jellal
Speed casting: Natsu
Intelligence: Jellal
Hype: Abyss break = DF Natsu

plot armor: Natsu

Jellal wins. (hopefully he wins the tournament)

By DC, do you mean Distance combat? Natsu's endurance is pretty important because it's honestly his strongest point for tanking Jellal's insanely powerful attacks.

Destructive capability. I don't see him tanking current charged GC.

Anyway, Natsu can't block Cema and Jellal at the same time. Jellal would use abyss break and demolish Natsu. DF didn't do anything, Jellal still tanked all the hits.
Dragon Force Natsu didn't do anything to Jellal? Jellal tanked all of the hits? I wouldn't call getting defeated from a few of Dragon Force Natsu's attacks 'tanking.' If you go back and read the fight, you can see that Jellal went from being in really good shape to being defeated just from a few hits from Natsu, regardless of what else happened in the fight. At the end of the day, its undeniable that Jellal only got hit a few times when Natsu was in Dragon Force and he was down after those hits, so I'd say Jellal definitely didn't tank those hits. Rather, he's shown somewhat flimsy durability getting taken out by Neinhart's little explosion. So with defense/durability like that, I don't see Jellal taking too many hits from Natsu who is stronger than the Dragon Force mode he used in ToH.

As for blocking Sema and Jellal at the same time, we have never seen Jellal move while casting Sema. Rather, we've seen him remain stationary when casting it, so I don't know why its being assumed that he's able to move freely while channeling his magic to cast the spell.

I can see altairis, abyss break or sema being the finisher moves. Obviously, only the meteorite in sema is harming Natsu, not the heat. Solid/Three dimensional seal is a separate spell as Jellal started casting GC after it. I also have a doubt on where they are fighting. There should be no environmental advantage but when fighting in the open, Jellal can clear the sky to help himself. But is this allowed? Imo, Altairis has the power to kill Simon, even tho I believe it's true nature wasn't shown.

Obviously Jellal improved his durability( not in natsu's level tho). He could tank Cobra's, racer and angel's Attack( probably Natsu would have done it too) but this is an improvement in durability.

I'm not entirely sure people should say Jellal has horrible durability, keep in mind he was able to dish out everything that Cobra threw at him, and this was Tartaros Cobra, who was stronger than OS Cobra. In Oracion Seis Cobra was able to completely overwhelm Natsu and Erza with his poison alone, which by definition 'completely infects and destroys anything it touches.' And Jellal was able to tank that like a fucking boss.
I think he's the only non DS to not be affected by a Dragon Slayer's attacks.

Are you SERIOUS? AGAIN?

Let me tell you, Sammy. Being kicked away like fly and being about to be DEMOLISHED by Abyss Break does NOT = "ooooh Natsu defeated Jellal with a few punc--" Natsu did squat. He'd have had his butt served to him if not for Erza. You bringing up that fight only weakens your side's opinion that Natsu is stronger cause he was about to get squashed.

People are only saying Jellal has horrible durability because they can't think of real arguments to go with.

Well I'd argue that those attacks were a bit weaker than what Natsu was throwing around in the ToH, so I don't see how that shows an improvement in Jellal's durability. For most of that fight, Jellal was again dodging attacks, which implies that he mightn't be able to take too much damage in a fight, like we saw with his fight against Dragon Force Natsu, getting hit four times while Natsu was in the mode (I went back and read the chapter), with Jellal looking incredibly worn out after the third which is when he went for Abyss Break.

Natsu can't stay in DF long, it uses tons of energy. He got 3 hits on Mard Geer which didn't do anything.

Jellal was getting pushed back but he was laughing. Natsu can't block a meteor.

No you're assuming that most of the fights was Jellal dodging. Guess what, you have no proof. You just have no evidence to back up your wack claim that Jellal has horrible durability because guess what, durability is the only thing Natsu has got going for him in this fight. Take that away and this is just a one-sided massacre.

"Natsu did squat" please Rain, Natsu only hit Jellal four times while in Dragon Force, and if you read the chapter you can clearly see he only made four attacks against Jellal while in Dragon Force (the chapter is called Dragon Force btw). And like every fight, there was plot involved, but at the end of the day Natsu still only hit Jellal four times in Dragon Force which dropped him.

Jellal was getting pushed back but he was laughing. Natsu can't block a meteor.
We've only ever seen Natsu use Dragon Force when he's low in energy and needs to fight quickly apart from the Zero fight, where he sustained it for the whole time he fought once he entered it, and defeated Zero. So your claim that he can't stay in it for long is ludicrous. Again, I've already made the point of how Natsu can block Sema, so if you can show me proof he can't, then please do so.

I have no proof? I have the manga, and thats all the proof I need. You can clearly see that in most of his fights, Jellal tends to dodge attacks by using Meteor or block them where he's able to. Look at his fight against Jura, when he realised he couldn't beat Jura with Mystogan's magic, he used meteor to move around fast and was avoiding Jura's blocks as he couldn't stand getting hit by too many of them. We saw one of them drop him to the ground, so that doesn't help his durability. And Natsu only has durability going for him in this fight? Please, Natsu's offence is just as powerful as Jellal's, his defense is far greater, his speed in Dragon Force has been proven to be greater (ToH) and yes, Natsu's stamina is also greater than Jellal's. Thats a wild claim to make right there.

You're bringing this up again?

DF Natsu was about to get DEMOLISHED by Jellal after being away like nothing. He sat there on his etherion rock waiting to get his butt served by Abyss break.

That wasn't even a win. To say Natsu defeated him is already inaccurate and misleading. To say that he did it in four DF punches, is blatantly wrong.
It wasn't even a win? If I remember correctly Natsu was the one standing at the end of the fight and not Jellal. While every fight has plot in it, if you go through the manga you can clearly see that in the chapter called Dragon Force, Natsu hits Jellal four times and Jellal is dropped. That chapter has all of the combat with Natsu in DF, and Natsu hit him four times. Go and read it, and you'll see it is indeed correct.

Do you know how big Cema is? If that hit the GMG, it would leveled the mountain and tunnelled the earth.

Just because Natsus roar stretched for miles, doesn't mean he can destroy cema. Jellal can drop Natsu while he's trying to destroy it.

"It wasn't even a win? If I remember correctly Natsu was the one standing at the end of the fight and not Jellal."

Seriously? This fight was written identically to Natsu/Gajeel vs. Laxus. And you know what Natsu said to Laxus at the end of that? "I don't consider this a victory." You're more pro-natsu than natsu himself LOL. I think I might understand what you're saying now. But even so, Jellal was nerfed and weakened from other things, so it's still not a very strong argument, sorry.

I'm not talking about "most of his fights" don't you dare change the subject to support your claims, Samuel. But if you really want to bring up Jellal vs Jura

"he used meteor . . . and was avoiding Jura's blocks as he couldn't stand getting hit by too many of them".

Bruh, I'm taking you out to fight lessons. The same reason Jellal (speculatively) did not try to increase his meteor speed (something we've seen him do) to fight DF Natsu was because he is smart enough to know how to fight. Intelligence. He knew Abyss Break would have finished the annoying fly once and for all. How does this relate to Jura? What kind of idiot just stands there and takes attacks when they have powers to avoid them!? Hell I bet the only real reason Mashima doesn't show durability feats for Jellal is because he's smart enough to take out his enemies with multiple methods as has been shown.

You kidding me? When I was making the Natsu vs. Jellal post, I was nice to Natsu and he STILL loses.

Att - Powers to attack
Def - Powers to guard
Endurance - tanking attacks
Stamina - how long a person can keep up their magic power
Intelligence - how smart a person is tactically for battle
Versatility - Different types of magic and ways of using them
AoE - Area of effect

Att: Natsu = or < Jellal (Demolition fist, Roar (super powerful) vs Abyss Break, Altairis, Grand Chariot, Abyss Break, and hell of a lot of other things (even more powerful)

Def: Natsu =? Jellal Again, Sam. You (and many people) keep confusing Defense with Endurance and Endurance with Stamina. They barely show anything for defense. Natsu can burn some things and Jellal can use meteor to dodge things.

Endurance: Natsu > Jellal Jellal has durability, but Natsu has probably some of the best durability arguably in the entire series.

Stamina: Natsu = Jellal Jellal's OS + large magic power literally alone is enough to make this claim against an MC who's had fights shoved down our throats.

Intelligence: Jellal > Natsu arguably Jellal has some of the best intelligence in fights in the entire series

Versatility: Jellal >> Natsu notably, Jellal has one of the best versatilities of all characters aside from August (who is still only hyped)

Area of Effect: Jellal >> Natsu

Like, I'm not even kidding. If Natsu doesn't lose, the fights in these tournaments have like no credibility.

Ultear knew what was up before shit went down:
Also I don't know if anyone else noticed, but in the fight between Natsu and Jellal, Natsu got only hit by one move, and that was an under powered Grand Chariot, which mind you pulverized him a good while, and it was underpowered. Jellal completely bested Natsu in CQC using Meteor, and we all know Natsu is a natural born CQC fighter. All of Jellal's other attacks, Altairis and Abyss Break were all interfered before they managed to hit Natsu, and I think this pretty much states what would have happened if any of those techniques would have hit Natsu..
