So we will be at the Dark Continent in 7 years huh?..

That is true, but i count the first chapter we got to the last serialization phase, because i feel like it belonged there. We got 11 chapters not 10.

Though it's in part dependent on the speed of the ship I wonder what the distance is between the known world and the new continent and the dark continent; it has to be a good deal out I supposeSo we will be at the Dark Continent in 7 years huh?..

If this picture is any reasonable foundation of our estimation, it can be pretty far if they travel east. http://hunterxhunter.wikia.com/wiki/Lake_Mobius?file=Lake_Mobius.pngThough it's in part dependent on the speed of the ship I wonder what the distance is between the known world and the new continent and the dark continent; it has to be a good deal out I suppose

It does make it a little bit harder to get back into the series once it returns, imho. I had to go back and reread the election arc/dc information to even remember what was going on when chapter 350 was released. Two years is a lot of time to forget the details, and Togashi spends a ton of time on exposition to do story setup.Re: Hiatus
The hiatus is certainly a negative when it comes to HxH having its own section. However, at this time, we have no plans to get rid of it. HxH still has a ton of material that can be discussed and we look forward to its eventual return (hopefully sooner rather than later).
Other than that, lets not turn this thread into a "agony" thread about the hiatus. It is what it is. Instead, how do these breaks effect your overall opinion of the story? Do you feel that they take away from what is otherwise a very interesting story or do they have no impact whatsoever?
It took slightly more than 10 years for the last 100 chapters to be completed, so it wouldn't be as much as you think especially if you assume the rate declines because Togashi is getting older.@TSPanda

Honestly, i would stop reading HxH for 10 years if i could to then look how far it got and read up all at once.
It's just thati can't ^^
I was lucky enough stopping to read it after they went to greed island when i was in puberty (wow is it that long?) so that i dodged all the hiatusses of the chimer ant arc except the last one.
I do not assume that tho.It took slightly more than 10 years for the last 100 chapters to be completed, so it wouldn't be as much as you think especially if you assume the rate declines because Togashi is getting older.
