Mel’s skills in combat is unparalleled, but the different between his base form & Dolor in PL when they fought was rather notable, so what the actual heck is going on here?
Maybe PL unlock certain level of ability; a PL of 7000 STR for an extremely skilled & agile fighter with a decent ability might prove a particularly difficult challenge for even a big foot with 15000 STR. Now if the disparity in PL is even greater than that – I.e the skilled & agile fighter having 700 vs the big foot’s 15000 – then perhaps it not only turns into a situation where the agile fighter doesn’t have the PL to utilise the speed, agility & reflexes to dance around in the confrontation but also a situation where the agile fighter wouldn’t be capable enough to leave so much as a scratch on the big foot.
Same applied during Mel’s fight with the 10C.
His base form PL was ridiculously inferior – a PL difference of 5000 between two fighters is astronomical btw – but his skills in combat was unbelievable superior.
Mel’s incredibly keen battle instinct coupled with his battle skills like his swordsmanship, speed, foot-work, agility, battle awareness, power efficiency, pin-point accuracy, swift strikes, swift body movement & so on essentially enabled him to combat 50K combatants, & that’s a scary thought. So what happens when his base PL isn’t 30+K but instead 60+K?
As for why he didn’t fear his foe unleashing their vastly superior PL – PL difference of 5000+ could essentially make some crap themselves btw – right at his face? I’d say experience. Mel had battled his way to the Top & knows how it feels to face the strongest, & he had experienced that exaltation of being the “Supreme Demon” himself. Fear won’t dissuade him, rather motivate him.
