Could have been blocked?? I mean yeah, Escort was dead, but Escort can still have a night action the same night they're killed. Plus, this isn't even taking weird Prostitute play either. Both roles have Priority 1 on the night action list - Blocking>Saving/Investigating>Killing/Recruiting.

Holt was escort and townie killed him during day time. It is impossible for him to block philia because holt wss already dead

3. PRIORITY - "KILLING & RECRUITING"
   (Mafia Member, Mafia Boss, Third Party, Time Bomb, Insane Doctor, Maison Recruiter, Pirate's Robbing, etc.)

Well, theoretically, there could be two mafias and two escorts. Though I'm not sure whether a Sickly Townie should get "results" either way. It isn't an investigative role, so the only way a Sickly Townie can confirm whether they can know whether they were successful or not is if their target confirms that they aren't capable of voting.
