It's not too bad I suppose.
I'm a bit worried for the future of Soma. If sales keep dropping like this it'll be bad and I don't know how season 2 will sell. Season 1 didn't sell the best either so if season 2 sells lower then season 3 won't be as likely. It is doing well in the rankings but before the anime I remember it was all over the place at times. I hope it can pull through.

Does anyone have yearly merchandise sales for Shokugeki no Soma?

if neverland flop then love rush & red sprite will flop too, since it's clearly the most popular & most discussed manga from the most recent serialization round

It's reception on Japanese web media and the fact that Viz picked up so quickly as a permanent edition to their mag would say otherwise.
What happens to series they pick up?

Where can I find sites where Japanese readers discuss series

They have added quite a few series to their lineup that ended up cancelled.

2ch , Warota channel , Jump Sokuhou
these are the ones i normally visit.
Love Rush seems to be the one getting the most attention even though its mostly mixed opinions.

It has been quite the rise for KnY recently though, pretty crazy.
Extra printing seems like a matter of time if it continues

Volume 19 sold more than 18, so that seems to be a pattern of stabilization,

Volume 18 covers chapter 146 - 154, end of Eizan fight and start of Rentarou fight. These fights were one of the worst to date.

Soma has been pretty bad imo since food Aizen showed up so it's understandable why sales would start dropping.

No?

Volume 18 Monthly Sales (May 2 - 29) ->395k [Didn't cover up to May 31st not that it makes a big difference]
Volume 19 Monthly Sales (June 27 - July 31) -> 387k

There is a drop in sales between those two volumes.

Quoting @giathuan2707 figures, but thanks.

Even then, the drop is %2. That's statistically insignificant.

Well it's a steady decline. Even when the anime is airing.

Recent volume (past 3 days)
*2. 169,648(3) *,169,648 Shokugeki no Souma Vol.20
*4. 189,808(3) 189,808 Shokugeki no Souma Vol.17

I'm not using vol. 18/19 because those were 7 days. I mean you could find the average per day but you can see the decline.

Yes, but it seems to be flat lining right now, which is what I said earlier.

Editorial department should invite Takayama back to the main magazine.

Like, yesterday.
Can I say "Jumping the shark"?

I can understand if he wants his name to be more known, but this is too much. XD

11 hardly selling much more than vol 1 did... What is wrong with the Japanese? Seriously, I don't think anything could actually be done to make the series any better than it is, but still no one reads it! I feel sorry for Kawada man... And Jump can't do much more in promoting it other than getting an anime (which they don't really decide either) buts it's not selling well enough for one!

Hope we get something better than J Stars Victory Vs.:-_-
This. Anything would be better than a game that tries hard to be a fighting version of Dynasty Warriors.

Ultimate Jump Stars! sequel please! I love this game, such clever ideas put in a game about manga magazine, with great 2d look and a really nice, smooth mechanics for fighting game of this type. Would love to see it happen with a bigger, updated rooster.

Love Rush looks beyond mediocre, can't believe it'll survive. Grills are not good enough. The Promised Neverland is pretty crafty staff, would like to see it survive but I kinda think it shouldn't be a long manga, it makes me curious what would happen after this 'arc' but at the same time I think it would become rather dull or rather it'll lose the good things that it have now. Dunno what to say about Red Sprite, didn't read it properly, though world looks pretty niche, everything else pretty cliche.

Last time I wrote in this thread I defended Yuna and it still is here and looks to be in a great position. That's good, like I said, a shonen magazine without an ecchi series feels kinda sad. AND VOLUMES ARE UNCENSORED, HELL YAW.
