She wasn't even in DF when that happens, that already debunks your statement
No it doesn't. It doesn't debunk the fact that Natsu still has superior AoE and has taken down superior opponents. Natsu simply has better feats.Even with Dragon Force, Wendy's best feat is taking out Historia Ezel. Base Natsu took out enhanced Neinhart.

Let's say even if Wendy manages to do better using dragon force against Bluenote. In order to be on Natsu's level, she still has to oneshot Bluenote. Not only that, she has to oneshot Bluenote whilst holding Chelia up by the shirt.

Is this a joke?

Natsu will be oneshotted by August, Irene, Dimaria, Larcade, Invel, Brandish and Jacob, low diffed by Bloodman, Wall, Neinhart and God Serena and mid diffed by Ajeel. Saying Natsu would oneshot "most of the Spriggans" is the most insane thing I've ever heard. Natsu isn't even Spriggan tier, at all.

No just no. Just, no.

Neinhart and Jacob would've STOMPED Natsu into oblivion if they weren't restricted.

And I don't get where you get that statement "Natsu basically oneshotted Jacob" comes from. It's like saying Erza oneshotted Kyôka.

@Emperor Spriggan I can't take this anymore. Chapter 500 never should've happened.
Jesus Chirst are you joking? Neinhart wasnt restricted! He was enhanced past his normal limits! Show me where it says he was resteicted? People wanna hate on Natsu so badly... i called it at the beginnkng of the war "Natsu would fodder a spriggan and still not be considered Spriggan level."

This is blind bias.

Natsu blizted a Spriggan and defeated him within a MINUTE, what would it take to be considered Spriggan level at the point??? He has so many feats to back this up.

Please i seriously need an unbiased answer because if Laxus was in Natsu's position people (not pointed at you) would be screaming he was August level or atleast Eileen level.

In fact, when Laxus casually nuked Ajeel and nearly one shot him, people cried he was spriggan level.

Edit: not trying to start a massive debate, i just want to know what more it would take for you to comsider Natsu Spriggan level

Well I've got to disagree here. With Jacob, Natsu held back for a lot of the fight but as we saw once he was serious it only took one attack in FDKM to do a large amount of damage to Jacob. Yes, the fight had some plot involved, I won't deny that but one serious hit is all it took to put Jacob away. Its basically the same with Neinhart. This time Natsu hit him twice, but only once was a proper magical attack which didn't even have a name. Clearly from what we've seen, Natsu is on a Spriggan level when it comes to attack power like that. Sure, the Spriggans he's fought may not have had the best durability but he's still been able to put them away with a couple of serious hits which you cannot ignore. If Jellal is considered Spriggan tier because he defeat Neinhart with a charged Grand Chariot, then why isn't Natsu considered Spriggan tier when he literally defeated Neinhart with two punches?
You can say whatever you want, but Natsu never soloed a Spriggan who was able to use his full power. Jacob was restricted in using Transport and Neinhart was restricted in using Historia of Corpses. In other words, they couldn't use their primary magic.

Now let's be honest, would've Natsu defeated these two if they could use their primary magic? No.

Also, there is a huge difference between the way how Jacob and Neinhart were defeated. Jacob was actually hit by many, but like MANY spells before Natsu used his final blow. Seriously, you need to face the fact that Jacob wasn't oneshotted at all.

As for Jellal, he defeated a Spriggan who wasn't restricted. So yes, he's a proven Spriggan tier.

Not at all. Considering the type of damage Natsu can do and the type of attacks it takes to bring down the Spriggan 12, a solid hit from Natsu with would take down most of the Spiggans (excluding August and Irene, and probably Larcade as well). Any FDK spell, or even some of Natsu's higher end base spells would do the trick.
If you truly think Natsu can oneshot almost all of the Spriggans then you just don't understand portrayal.

Whatever, it doesn't really matter anyway. The Spriggans are still stronger than him because their magic is certainly superior to his.

Denying that Natsu is a Spriggan tier is fairly counterproductive at this point.
Oh is that so? Challenge accepted. Tell me how Natsu would handle with Age Seal, Mass Manupilation, Transport, Weakness, Sandworld, Ice Lock, three Historia Spriggans, all of the Nine Demon Gate curses or someone who can eat all of his spells? Exactly, not.

Natsu isn't a Spriggan tier. The only proven Spriggan tiers are Laxus, Jellal and Gray.

I'll just ignore your "Erza > Kyôka" comment since it made me facepalm.

You wanna know why Neinhart was restricted? Because his magical output was limited since he also had to control three Historia Spriggans at the same time he fought Natsu. Quit calling me biased, you need to face manga facts.

I like you and your posts BP but its CLEAR as day that you're biased against Natsu. There's no denying Natsu is Spriggan tier.

Base Natsu is likely above TO-Sherria. I rate her below Erza.

Physicals and offense are in Natsu's favour, Erza's too. Sherria's healing factor is worth considering though.

I never said Natsu could beat all of the Spriggan 12 members. I said that Natsu would take them out if he landed a direct hit. Obviously, if someone has the means of avoiding direct combat with Natsu they can avoid this. However, should Natsu manage to land a hit with an FDK spell, it would take out most Spriggans. There are some things that Natsu doesn't have a defense against, like Age Seal or Mass Manipulation. Even Ice Lock could be on this list. It would eventually melt if Natsu started using his stronger flames, but Invel can probably order Natsu to kill himself faster than that. That being said, Natsu can easily overpower some of the things you mentioned. Transport can be avoided by entering FDK mode and causing Jacob to recoil in pain. Weakness bots would be relatively useless as Natsu can just brute force them or overcome them with raw power. Natsu > Neinhart Neinhart > Historia. Natsu attacks > Any attack Bradman has shown so far. Sand World wouldn't make a difference if Natsu just blasts the immediate area with a large AoE spell.

You often accuse other people of being biased, but the irony becomes amazingly clear when you say stuff like Natsu isn't a Spriggan level but Jellal is. Natsu actually beat an enhanced version of Neinhart, which is every bit as impressive as what Jellal did. Also, can we stop pretending that Gray or Laxus would do better against abilities Age Seal, Mass Manipulation, Transport, Sand World, or Ice Lock? Jacob can take out Laxus or Gray just as easily with transport as he can with Natsu. Jacob's transport allow him to avoid combat with Natsu and win by battlefield removal, but it doesn't take away the fact that Natsu's attack power is capable of taking down Spriggan level opponents in 1 or 2 hits.

If you want to talk portrayal, this is the arc where Hiro has Natsu oneshotting an opponent that was one Tenrou Gildart's level, taking out Gods of War, using Igneel's power to fight Zeref, and negating nukes from people like August. Most importantly, this is the arc where he is taking out Spriggan 12 members in one or two solid hits. Also, Natsu uses the same magic type as Igneel and Acnologia. It's dragon slayer magic. When we're talking about raw power, this is as good as it gets short of getting your hands on something like Fairy Heart.

Neinhart wasn't restricted. Literally the opposite was true, he was enhanced. Irene's enchantment made him stronger than the limits of his own magic. At the very least, that means he would have been stronger than any individual Historia. Logically, he should be stronger than all of them since all of them are part of his magic. Neinhart was enhanced to the point that he can negate the magic from other Spriggan 12 members from effecting him.

I think what BP said is that Natsu can't solo a Spriggan. Everytime he had to face a Spriggan, the Spriggan was in fact nerfed.
1) Jacob was restricted by the fact that Lucy countered his main hax, Transport. Natsu was able to fight Jacob, but had Lucy not been there with Horologium, Natsu was gone with the rest of the guild. Thus Jacob beats Natsu in a 1v1.
2) Neinhart was enhanced by Irene, to the point that Brandish couldn't use her magic against him. However, his Historias were already fighting elsewhere, thus even in that enhanced state, Neinhart wasn't at his full potential. His full potential being, hiding behind Historias. Now that we saw enhanced Neinhart being oneshot (or two-shot, lets not start it again), we can agree that Neinhart's full power and main fighting potential is when he's summoning powerful Historias, not him directly fighting even in an enhanced state.

That's what i think BP meant.
Personally i think Natsu is Spriggan level. Natsu not resisting Jacob's hax doesn't mean Natsu isn't Spriggan level. Otherwise we'd have to say Tartaros Erza or Makarov or whatever < Tartaros Cana, since Cana captured them all in cards.
I think Natsu can defeat Wahl and Ajeel at the very least. The rest of the Spriggan is either too powerful or too haxy.

Your post is at least logical and i can agree to the Javob part, but not the Neinhart since it was never shown he was restricted.

It was established that he was powerful beyond his limits and just because he didnt use histora should have nothing to do with it.

Its Just like saying natsu wasnt in fdkm when invel freezed him so it shouldnt count.

People are acting like he didnt use ANY magic, when neinhart in fact did. Its not natsus fault he chose a different albiet still powerful magic to face them with.

Neinhart had plenty of time to use historia since he was over op at that point but he didnt. So it stands to reason that there would not have been a difference either way

Lucy didn't counter transport. Lucy reversed it, but it wasn't as if Lucy stripped him of his abilities to cast it. Happy stopped transport by getting in between Jacob's hands. Unless you believe Happy is uber fast and this feat can't be replicated by any character just rushing at Jacob, this is all that it would take to stop Jacob from casting transport. This is probably why Jacob hasn't simply transported Mirajane yet. Natsu's body heat was capable of making Jacob recoil in pain, and can potentially prevent Jacob from being in position to cast transport long enough to deliver an attack. This effectively makes the victor of the battle whomever makes the first move. Obviously if Jacob wanted to, he can use stealth and assassinate Natsu. However, Jacob can do that to practically anyone. You can even use Jacob's abilities of stealth and transport to take down someone like Dimaria. To use these abilities to downplay Natsu's attack power is disingenuous.

Irene's enchantment boosted Neinhart's power beyond that of the limits of his own magic. Brandish was surprised that he was now immune to how strong he was, and wondered how strong Irene made him. Neinhart was probably stronger than any of his Historia individually, especially because his Spriggan Historia were probably a shell of what they were. I consider the total sum of all of Neinhart's historia to be equivalent to 1 Spriggan. Would Neinhart have done better against Natsu if he had some meatshields in the way? Yes, conceivably. However, attacks like FDK roar can hit hundreds of people at a time. Neinhart is getting hit.

Hit hundreds of fodder, so now Neinhart will summon fodders as meatshields? Let's use Occam's Razor here please, assuming doesn't go too far in things like this.

Because if we operate under the assumption that Angel is logically way less durable than Brandish, then I don't see how Urano Metria is a big threat to Brandish. Taking into account Lucy's growth here ever since the O6 arc; even if Lucy improved enormously, Brandish is also enormously superior to O6 Angel. Urano Metria might be her top spell, but it isn't taking out a spriggan; I hope she shows something that might take out one.
Again, Brandish has NOTHING to do with this. Replace Brandish with Juvia here and we could have an argument.

Maginification might expand the attack to its state pre-reduction, but it also can maginify anything to any size. As you very well know, Brandish can enlarge herself, or Happy, or Natsu's head; it's heavily implied she can do so with an attack too. The images told me that the attack Lucy tanked was bigger than the one she threw at Brandish, but I might be wrong. As you well mention the area covered in water was already rather large pre reduction so you may be well right here.
But you see, I need proof that it expanded past its original state. As of now I see no reason to believe it.

Yeah, I don't deny Lucy having top-end durability, but I don't recall Juvia's being necessarily weak; especially because of water body, which is immune to many things, and I consider it part of durability/defense.
If someone bypasses her water body then her durability has to come into play, and it has never shown to be overly high.

Throughout their fight, I didn't get the feeling that they were being capable of controlling their bodies, and hardly their minds at all. I saw them serious and going all out. My impression is that at some given moment they gathered their wills and took advantage of that moment to commit suicide. Also, I might be wrong but that was my impression.
The fact that they could even commit suicide indicates that they still had control of their bodies, to some extent.

Well technically, in chapter 497 things don't go too well for Gray as Invel shows he can attack faster, and stronger. First of all Invel prevents Gray from attacking and attacks first, thing which Gray didn't expect at all, and is sent at great speed towards a wall (which he destroys upon impact), then he takes 6-7 attacks in one same vignette and Gray is clearly overwhelmed both by Invel and by his cold, which is actually managing to affect him.
In the next chapter we see a Gray who can hardly attack, only defend; and an unfazed Invel by Gray's ice attacks, which can be broken easily by the spriggan.
It is only when Gray goes DeS that he seems to hold the upper hand; he attacks Invel and the attack effectively lands (he puts a scratch on him and makes him bleed). However, it is then when Invel gets more serious and can undo Gray's spells and redirect them into what seems a blizzard.
So, I don't see where you see Gray having the upper hand really.
Gray injures Invel and Invel uses Ice Lock. We don't know how the fight would have gone without it but one thing is for sure, Gray had the upper hand right before Ice Lock was used.

The unusual thing, IMO, is that there's such a difference between a 'regular' bloodlusted BASE Gray and a DeS Gray. As I pointed out in my explanation of the battle events, even DeS Gray couldn't take on Invel, but when he saw Juvia died, then Gray, even in base, was so superior to the spriggan that it does not make much sense to me, especially considering that bloodlust should not necessarily make characters phisically stronger, or with stronger spells, only with higher MP and pressure (although I think it's been implied and even mentioned over times that feelings=power in Fairy Tail, so I'd understand Gray got a power boost to defeat a spriggan but not to massively overcome a spriggan). I do believe Gray surpassed his limits with his rage, but again, that was my interpretation.
Sure it does. Bloodlust heightens the users stats to their limits, its what brings out their full power. When they do not have bloodlust they fight conservatively with their power but when it kicks in they just go all out from the start without using intelligence (sometimes bloodlust can even be bad for that reason). The fact that Grays hair was "super saiyan" with energy flowing out of him shows that. Bloodlust is basically what you claim is POF, except I'm still not claiming that it makes the person surpass their own limits.

Not in such exact words, but I recall some characters, maybe even Erza, saying feelings = power. Or maybe it was Mavis during the GMG. I don't know, the thing is, we all know PoF = powerup of the like of Second Origin, though maybe just temporary. You can interpret that it boosts one's abilities to their limits or that they surpass such limits; but it's the same with third origin: does third origin allow you to surpass your limits, or does it only boost your powers to your potential limits? Both would be correct, since Chelia's powers were boosted A LOT by means of TO, but then again, she only managed to get the power she'd eventually have in a future.
Feelings being power is not the same thing as feelings breaking the limits of your own power. TO makes you surpass your current limits by giving you realized potential, POF doesn't do anything like that. At best POF heightens your power to their CURRENT limits (note that I am saying current, not potential).

It is worse writing to me that Natsu can oneshot a spriggan or that Gray can go from being overwhelmed to being massively superior in a matter of a chapter, that Gray and Juvia could trade blows makes a lot of sense to me because otherwise they would've been incompatible to train for one entire year together if their gap in power was too great.
You could train with someone who is vastly superior to you. Acnologia could train with Romeo if he wanted to, I don't see why any gap in power would prevent that. Its not like they trained by fighting each other with intent to kill.

It was safe to assume growth ratio had treated the main cast the same way, but as you well mention one can't simply assume so seeing as Natsu can now casually oneshot spriggans. Even if base Gray is one tier above Juvia, they're still on a level where they can fight; and the result will be exactly the one seen during their battle: Juvia can land some blows, but eventually Gray will easily defeat her.
Base Gray at full power is vastly above Juvia at full power.

No just no. During the first part of their battle, Invel was toying with Gray, easily defeating any ice creation or any blow Gray tried. When he awakened DeS, he took Invel by surprise and managed to attack him once; after that Invel was on guard and Gray was powerless.
How was Gray powerless? Can you show me where Invel makes Gray powerless when he activates DeS?

Then, Gray defeated Invel with a LOT of ease, unjustifiable ease if you ask me. Gray had natural resistance to Invel's magic yet Invel was managing to affect his body temperature; similarly Invel had resistance to Gray's magic, seen when he undoes a spell in DeS mode and creates a blizzard off it.
If Gray did not have the resistance factor then he would have outright lost. Invel doesn't have resistance to Grays magic, he simply overpowered it with his own magic (which is also basically ice).

I see, yeah you have a point here, but then Juvia couldn't harm him with attacks like water slicer, which doesn't make much sense to me if he's not absolutely intangible.
He can pass through Water Slicer because of how thin it is. An attack that covers the entirety of his MBP body makes it so that he cannot avoid it.

Lucy never overwhelmed Brandish in cqc... Also Lucy does not pride herself in cqc, Lucy is not Erza. She's improved, yeah, but she's never been good at cqc, the most she could do is lucy kick, now she's good at it but not proficient IMO.
Sure she did. This very chapter. She attacks, Brandish kicks her away. She goes back in CQC with Scorpios help and gets multiple hits in, Brandish shrinks her and she goes Cancer and cuts her up some more, Brandish reverts her back to OG size and she hits her with a magic spell. Lucy won two CQC exchanges while Brandish won one. Lucy focuses on CQC now, she even thought she could spar with Natsu, she definitely prides herself on her CQC now. She uses her spirits to stay back and support HER whereas Pre-TS it was the opposite.

I actually think of Bramdna as stronger than the average here; but cqc is not his forte tbh. Gajeel was doing much better even in base, although he couldn't just touch him.
Yeah I definitely disagree but thats for another debate. In regards to CQC, Gajeel was not doing much better.

The second panel shows that they were fighting CQC and are clearly an even match. Plus, Bradman is overwhelming Rogue and Rogue is no slouch in CQC.

No he wouldn't because of NLF, but really, water slicer was not cutting Keyes. Your assumption is very valid, I don't think he's got absolute intangibility either, but still it's better intangibility than 90% of characters can probably fight.
Why would NLF affect his intangibility? Thats like saying Acno would be able to see Jacob because of NLF Stealth. Thats not quite how it works. Most characters could fight it. In just the 9DG pretty much everyone except maybe Torafusa can hurt/kill him. Although he does have to harden himself eventually so Torafusa could take that opportunity.

Yeah but then again we fall into the same argument: why are 12 mages of another continent superior to the strongest mage in Ishgar? Does Ishgar have an innate lack of talent/potential? And if there were an arc where another continent is introduced and there are mages who can make the spriggan look like kids, then again, what's wrong with Ishgar? Is it a weak continent for any reason in particular? Bcs not even the one appointed as the strongest mage, Hyberion, could even keep up with a spriggan.
Thats not really true. Ishgar has at least a handful of Spriggan level characters themselves and at least two of their former residence (Irene and Serena) left them for Alvarez. Plus Alvarez has a lot more people in it by nature so naturally more strong characters would appear among them. Its moreso the fact that GoI aren't the strongest characters in Ishgar.

Hiro has Natsu oneshotting an opponent that was one Tenrou Gildart's level
Anyone in the current timeline can replicate this feat, it isn't as impressive as you make it sound
taking out Gods of War,
He took out one, which had no effect on GMG Erza and Kagura, again, not impressive
using Igneel's power to fight Zeref
Igneel's power=/= Natsu's power. Not his own feats
and negating nukes from people like August.
Because he has Fire Resistance? That's like giving credit to Gray for resisting Invel's insta freeze

I like you and your posts BP but its CLEAR as day that you're biased against Natsu. There's no denying Natsu is Spriggan tier.
Show me when Natsu soloed a Spriggan at his or hers full potential and we can talk further.

BUT WHERE DOES IT SAY HE'S RESTRICTED??? HE DIDN'T SHOW ANY SIGN AT ALL. You want me to face manga fact, but you can't show me a single panel that says he was restricted. Just give me proof he was restricted, thats all im asking.

When Makarov was restricted, it was shown
When Laxus was restrivted, it was shown
Natsu? They show it

There is not a single panel that proves your point. Unless you have proof, you are showing your complete bias.

And you consider Grey Spriggan level, when he had immunity to the spriggan he was facing? Making the fight easier? And you consider him spriggan level and not natsu?
You're clearly in denial here mang. Neinhart was restricted because the three Historia Spriggans he summoned AFFECTED his magical output. Since he used Historia of Corpses at its full potential, he wasn't able to use it against Natsu during their fight thus he had to use his secondary magic. So Neinhart WAS restricted and you can deny it what you want, but it's just a solid fact.

And if you're really that blind to understand, I'll give you the evidence you want so badly.

Did you seriously said Natsu can burn through Ice Lock with his body heat? Do you even understand the capabilities of Ice Lock?

It can only be disabled once the victim dies. And if you're still not convinced, then why didn't Juvia use her water body to escape it?

Exactly what is Natsu's body heat going to do about Transport? Natsu would be teleported to another dimension even before he enters FDKM.

Weakness can't be countered in a solo fight. If necessary Wall will create bots who use Dispell Magic.

Neinhart isn't stronger than his historias, that's nonsense. His own combat feats are not even more impressive than Base Wendy's.

Bloodman will use Tenchi Kaimei and Natsu won't even be able to use a spell. This isn't even debatable.

Natsu ain't going to destroy Sandworld. Show me a spell of Natsu which has an AoE as high as Magnolia.

Still not convinced. Natsu isn't going to beat a single Spriggan.

You can call me biased for saying Natsu isn't Spriggan tier but you didn't show me any evidence that he is LOL.

Laxus, Jellal and Gray are proven Spriggan tier because they soloed one who wasn't holding back..

He took out restricted Spriggans, yes. So he is portrayed to be restricted Spriggan tier.

Scroll up and see my proof. Or just read the flawless post of @Takuan.

This! Thank you you truly understand whats going on! I really enjoy reading your posts. They are very unbiased and make a lot of sense. I need to like more of your posts when i see them lol.
UNBIASED HE SAID.

Where's your proof that anyone in the current timeline can oneshot Bluenote? That's quite a large assumption.

Bruh Minerva didn't actually summon a war god against Kagura and Erza. If I recall correctly all Minerva did was use a spell.

Laxus pulled a powerup out of his ass that logically shouldn't have even tickled Wahl, Jellal didn't even have to deal with any Historia against Neinhart, and Gray was pretty much a counter to Invel's magic. How can you possibly argue that these feats make them Spriggan level and yet Natsu is not?

From the Yakuma 18? Yagdo Rigora is the same as Ikusutsanagi

Um, because Tenrou enemies haven't shown any sign of growth other than Ultear? There's no indication that BlueNote was stronger than he was 8 years ago.
And all the current characters are stronger than their Tenrou selves? It isn't such a hard thing to grasp

I seriously don't remember Minerva SUMMONING Yagdo Rigora. She has only used spells.

Correct me if I'm wrong, my memory is a bit hazy.

Natsu is not?
Because like your argument against Laxus vs Wahl, he pulls victories out of his ass? Base Natsu couldn't do much against Lessio in the guild hall then he magically one shots Neinhart? If you want to use the asspull argument against Red Lightning then you have to carry it all the way mang, no half hearted arguments
