I think Lacarde is equal or more powerful than Irene and August.

No, he's not lol. Just because you're a potential counter against the strongest being (even then he can't defeat Acnologia) doesn't make you stronger than two of the most hyped Spriggans. Only his nature of magic is said to be different, not his magic power.I think Lacarde is equal or more powerful than Irene and August.
PS: Surely August massacring to all CS.
Hoteye is definitely the strongest the only reason Midnight won is because his reflector is a direct counter to Richard's magic. Also in the OS vs Jellal fight they all seem quite even as they were all doing the same amount of damage to Jellal and keeping up with one another. If there was truly a difference it's not a significant one.If it comes to OS, I assume the power scaling goes like this :
Midnight > Cobra > Hoteye > Racer > Angel
He had to be in END mode to get out of the magic sealing cuffs and go through timestop. DiMaria also confirmed and his fight with Gray proved that DiMaria was more scared of the legend of who END was than traumatized by what Natsu did to her.My opinion on END's power level pretty much hinges on whether or not Natsu was in END mode when he faced Dimaria, and also whether or not END's curse power interferes with Natsu's dragon slaying magic.
If tapping into END's power was something that only happened once he saw Lucy, then I'm not really sure how to power rank END mode. The chronology of events is somewhat confusing, but I'm still willing to accept that Natsu went in-and-out of END form. If not, I'd have to judge END solely by his feats against Gray, and he's not done anything out of the ordinary there. I actually find his FDK attacks to be more impressive.
This brings up the subject of whether or not END's curse power interferes with Natsu's ability to cast dragon slaying magic. If it doesn't, then it's basically just a direct power-up. If it does, then it would actually be a handicap in the long-run.
Its probably more like an Ice Make advantage since Devil Slaying doesn't grant molding abilities and the Divine armor negated the slayer advantage any way. But yeah, Gray definitely had a type advantage regardless.I can agree that Gray could remold Raiment and use it to beat Invel. But it would be credited to slayer advantage, rather than Gray>=Invel.
It can? Especially in this situation where an English idiom was used. That's just not the way language works. The translations aren't going to be so bad to the point where her translated statement becomes completely inaccurate.
Because he clearly wasn't a block of ice anymore? He was in the process of unfreezing himself and the others....unless everyone else was unfrozen instantaneously though it took more time for himselfI'm assuming that when they were frozen they could still see and hear what was going on around them, otherwise how did Natsu hear Gray's statement?
Ice Slave then. When I say Ice Lock, I'm just referring to Invel's "cheat" magic that lets him warp minds with his ice collars.I'm pretty sure Ice Lock only works if there is someone else to bind him to. And even if that isn't true, the fact that Invel deemed it necessary to use his Divine Rampent instead of using Ice Lock/Slave should be pretty clear evidence that Gray had a power up of some sort. You said it yourself, why didn't Invel use something that was already proven to work? Because Gray got a powerup that could possibly allow him to break through Ice Slave/Lock.
Mages will often hold back. However that has nothing to do with Ice Lock because, as I stated, it is not a combat move or a trump card. It was you who stated that it wasn't used because Invel was holding back his best. Remember? ---->But that's not what I'm arguing, that's what YOU'RE arguing. YOU made the claim that mages will often hold back their best hand for fear of it being countered, so you kinda just neutered your own argument here.
Well it's just like you said isn't it? According to you mages rarely go all out at the beginning of a fight so Invel not using it earlier should make perfect sense.
Her being the first isn't that relevant when they were all jumping him. While you say her magic was doing the same amount but at the start of the fight Jellal him swipes away Sorano's magic but gets pushed back by Cobra and Ravee right after ( yes I'm aware he caught Cobra's punch before). Not to mention outside of the Jellal fight Cobra has been way more impressive every time he snd Sorano has appeared. Not really. She was the first one to land a shot on Jellal and her Angels did as much damage as Cobra's dragon slaying magic. There's nothing showing Cobra and Midnight are in an entire other league especially when Racer was keeping the same pace as Cobra in the entire fight with Jellal. The power difference in OS is miniscule.
I class it under DeS magic since the spell is a DeS spell (Destruction Fist). Gray seems to be using DeS in a different way than say Silver would, and that's probably attributed to Gray's experience with Ice Make. Well when I say different, I mean Gray has more options. Its probably more like an Ice Make advantage since Devil Slaying doesn't grant molding abilities and the Divine armor negated the slayer advantage any way. But yeah, Gray definitely had a type advantage regardless.
Jellal swipes away her magic and get hurt in the process. She's the first one to actually damage Jellal. As the fight progress it shows that Sorano's attacks are easily pushing Jellal back also and Racer and Cobra are going CQC at the same pace doing as much damage to Jellal as Sorano's Angels. Not really more impressive as he wasn't even a true dragon slayer at the time and the only reason he did so well against Natsu is because Natsu had to rely on Happy. The Jellal fight just showed that there really wasn't much of a difference between OS power in the first place. Her being the first isn't that relevant when they were all jumping him. While you say her magic was doing the same amount but at the start of the fight Jellal him swipes away Sorano's magic but gets pushed back by Cobra and Ravee right after ( yes I'm aware he caught Cobra's punch before). Not to mention outside of the Jellal fight Cobra has been way more impressive every time he snd Sorani has appeared.
Yes. What's your point here?Sure, rage/will, and the amount he had of that exponentially increased post 499.
Yes. When Invel dispelled the sword, we saw a massive amount of power being released from the two with everything around them being blown away. The next panel, we see that the battlefield is engulfed in a snow storm. so I tend to think the 2 are equated, especially when the blizzard would surely take a lot of power for such a simple advantage as making it even colder. So you are saying he actually managed to dispell Zeroth Long Sword and thats what the blizzard did? I suppose thats possible.
You're right. He caught Gray's follow up after adjusting. We've seen that happen before in other fights. Hell, Gray was too slow for Invels projectiles in 497 but in 498 be throws up a shield and takes it no problem.Wasnt too slow for the follow up charge once he knew DeS magic was coming in to play, though i'll admit his CQC is pretty shit.
Theres a big difference between resistance and immunity. Its not just quibbling over wording. Before his powerup, Gray was showcasing his resistance to the cold. He was not at all immune to Ice as Silver was. But yes, Gray, being resistant to cold, had an advantage over Invel. One of the many reasons I think Invel would have lost to Gray regardless.Natural resistance, immunity, whatever you want to call it, the point is Gray had a colossal advantage over Invel from the get go, Invel even comments on Gray's immunity to ice when he uses Ice Raiment, he says even with his body's immunity to ice, Gray would still be frozen, which quite clearly implies that the reason he used Ice Raiment was because he knew his other ice attacks wouldnt be enough to overcome Gray's ice immunity.
He only used his Curse Power (if he even is confirmed to have that) against DiMaria as he wouldn't of broken the seals. He did go insane because he saw DiMaria on top Lucy looking like she was going to gouge his eyes out. The entire time he has been using END's power which is why is flames are darker. Nothing has suggested Natsu's been using anything other than END's power. He got both magic and curse container. Thanks to brandish, She enlarged his curse container hence he could move with them cuffs. He didn't go insane shit when he woke up, Something triggered him (Lucy) to get negative emotion = increased curse container inside him.
Pretty much this.
No, he wasn't keeping up with the other DS in the GMG. GMG Cobra wasn't even a true dragon slayer lol. And all the DS had previous fights beforehand bar Sting. Just because they are all getting whooped by an opponent doesn't make them equals.Pretty much this.
GMG Cobra was keeping up pretty well with the other DS's..plus Jell-O was pretty confident in his abilities that he told Mest and Lahar to go and get him from prison.
Midnight is the strongest member of the current OS.
Honestly Crime Sorciere is the strongest team in this war from the protagonist's side bar the FT team that was sent to the South by Mavis

I agree with everything but the ranking.People downplay Angel cause she got her ass kicked by Lucy, but in reality she has the power to have Gemini replicate Gray, add a Gray tier fighter to her laser beam spirit and she is easily as powerful as any of the other OS bar Midnight.
Currently with her new Angel magic she was doing just as well against Jellal as Racer and Cobra, she even smashed him to the ground at one point in the fight, better than Racer and Cobra could do.
Midnight>Racer>Angel>Cobra>Hoteye
Cobra is trash without Kinana, she was the only thing that put him on Racer's level
Yes, they were. she clearly said the 3rd guest(CS) will be trouble and only then, ordered Bradman and Larcade to join the battle.CS weren't hyped by Irene. She meant the combined forces of all three guest would prove troublesome not OS themselves.
his magic type might be good against someone like Acno but the way Irene ordered him and Bradman makes me think that he's not superior to Irene.I think Lacarde is equal or more powerful than Irene and August.
They weren't. She was clearly spacing out her words to fit into the bubble. That's why you see ellipsis (...) every time she talks about each "Guest" individually. She meant all them or she wouldn't have need the ellipsis to pause after she said third guests.Yes, they were. she clearly said the 3rd guest(CS) will be trouble and only then, ordered Bradman and Larcade to join the battle.

But this is just ridiculous, you're trying to justify your argument on the assumption that the translation was incorrect. Guess we can't trust anything any character says now because they could all be mistranslations ¯\_(ツ)_/¯It can? Especially in this situation where an English idiom was used. That's just not the way language works.
My interpretation was that he said that BEFORE he broke out. And I doubt Lucy would have made that statement for no reason.Because he clearly wasn't a block of ice anymore? He was in the process of unfreezing himself and the others....unless everyone else was unfrozen instantaneously though it took more time for himself
Well if he deems Gray too powerful for Ice Lock then Divine Raiment really becomes his only option at that point, right? I mean, what would you expect him to do, just lay down and surrender? He had no idea whether Divine Raiment was going to work, sure, but did he have any other choice?Ice Slave then. When I say Ice Lock, I'm just referring to Invel's "cheat" magic that lets him warp minds with his ice collars.
And no, I'm not going to assume that Invel could somehow judge that Gray had become too powerful for Ice Lock but juust weak enough for Divine Raiment to still work. That's too much of a leap for me. He has never used Ice Lock during direct combat and Hiro made it a point that Gray's back was turned and he wasn't engaged in the match with Invel at that moment so I'm going to assume that Ice Lock is just not a combat spell.
Your specific reasoning for holding back a move was because a character would fear it being countered. I see no reason why Ice Lock wouldn't fall under this rule, it being his best or his trump card or a combat move is irrelevant. Besides, Invel was toying with Gray from the beginning of the battle and he pretty much wasn't even trying. I don't think Invel even found it necessary at all to use Ice Lock to deal with Gray. The only reason he used it on Gray and Juvia was because he wanted Gray to kill her and unleash his darkness, so he could deal with END.Mages will often hold back. However that has nothing to do with Ice Lock because, as I stated, it is not a combat move or a trump card. It was you who stated that it wasn't used because Invel was holding back his best. Remember?
That Gray was stronger post ch499.Yes. What's your point here?

BTW, part of Invel appearing to suck is that Gray is really good CQC.

I know she said fourth guest, but when she says May prove a tad troublesome she was talking about everyone together. Why would she call OS by themselves a tad troublesome when she can oneshot all of them? Heck Larcade can oneshot all of them lol.Dude.
She LITERALLY SAID THE OS WERE THE Third GUEST.
