Toriko was so exaggerated since the beginning that I cannot even say anything about the ending like I did with Naruto... Everything is possible in Toriko, it is just normal for all readers. XD
They dragged it a lot, sure, but about the content itself.... Whatever, man... hahahaha

Shokugeki no Soma bad rankings are a mystery to me, really... I theorized about it and I think that it is due to the complexity of the dishes currently? I never understood everything about the dishes, but it is starting to get unbearable and cutting the enjoyment... Besides this little problem, the story has been superb, I honestly would not give up on voting for it in the majority of the last weeks. When I answer ESJ survey it is almost always there among the 4.... Anyway, I don't think it will last long, Shokugeki no Soma will recover, I'm sure of it.

Shokugeki no Soma and My Hero Academia are the mangas that should have bigger sales... It should be there with Haikyuu among the top of this generation...

I am not buying it.
The problem is that there is not official announcement in TOC that next week is last chapter of Toriko.
it can be also the beginning of new arc or whatever else. We have to wait at least 1 week more.

I don't see WSJ allowing Toriko to keep continuing with those ranks and especially with the current sales. Also, there really is nothing major in Toriko remaining. Starting anything now will be like starting the series from scratch again and that will greatly reduce the sales even further.

I really wish they would have waited to make an anime for MHA. It's potential sales might have been way higher that way. I see it peaking at around 600K per volume. Possibly 700K, who knows.

It can be another million+ series. I wouldn't count it out just yet. I mean, all it will need is one solid arc from start to finish that gets everyone talking and buzzing about it.

Shokugeki fans may not care about Toriko ending but I believe that since Toriko is ending, the next big title to end is Shokugeki. (Excluding Gintama) ...yes Toriko ending should be a concern for them.

Even when Naruto ended... I felt it was a concern for Toriko fans too

Chapter has been released by kewl so http://bato.to/reader#eba2c6f635c9daab read it. There is nothing about ending. Even WHITE says that it is not the end. So we still can not be sure.

Kewl said it looks like to be the last chapter due to the 31 pages. It doesn't matter what White says since this could be an open ended conclusion

Nope. Toriko definitely had content to continue further but it was axed. There's a reason why there is a shock amoung the fandom. However, like you implied the sales are beyond saving and are reaching below pre-anime.

I don't see how WT is in any trouble. Its overtaken Gintama in sales hasn't it? meaning it's the 5th best selling in the magazine (after OP, HQ, BnH, SnS). And after Gintama and Toriko end, the next best seller after it is BC which only has like half it's sales. Just like I can't see SnS going anywhere soon. Both series are certainly on the decline though, so in 2 years time they will probably be in a bad position though, yes.

Soma has massively dropped in quality since Azami was introduced though. I don't think these last chapters have been any worse than the ones before them, but I can't really argue with the rankings it's been getting.

Imo, The decision to axe Toriko was made after the Pair arc. The quality drop and increase in pacing since then is out for everyone to see. But Jump gave it time to wrap up instead of just cancelling it because it had made a big impact on the magazine. Same with Bleach, but Kubo took too long/ignored them. My theory at least. It's certainly been given the axe though, no doubt about it. It didn't just reach it's conclusion.

Also Shokugeki has had abysmal anime sales. I'm surprised it's even getting an OVA. I hope it pulls through a bit longer and doesn't get an awful ending

"Toriko doesn't have a sudden end" Where do you took that idea? The series is ending since 42 chapters and the final battle has been going for 24 chapters. There is no sudden in that.

For the little I know Ring was always thought out to be a short series.

I think its because it fits with the ideals of the Kubo Defense Force. Of course he knew longer than that. I mean, just look at how long Shimabukuro has been rushing Toriko. Why? Because he was using his time correctly, trying to cover as much as possible before the deadline. It's still rushed, but at least it's nowhere near as messy as Bleach's ending. Kubo waited until the very end to rush things.
