Why wouldn't you get excited they look more interesting than everything that came out in 2016, ofc it is too early and unfair to judge just based on the first impression from the preview and authors/genre. It is all down to personal preferences I guess.

I hope Demon's Plan sounds cooler in Japanese because I am not feeling that name personally lol.
I like the character's design it might remind me a little of Rin but it looks alright with that side braid and what looks to be red hair(?). I don't really like plain looking scars on plain looking characters I always feel like the mangaka knows the design is bland so he adds a small scar on the characters face just to make him a little bit more memorable. I also always have a hard time getting into a manga when the art is too clean I hope that is not the case with Demon Plan. Overall excited for any battle manga, especially if it doesn't look as bland as Red Sprite.

I don't want to get hyped over Ore Golazo too much, but I can't hold myself it is a football manga and Takamasa's debut manga. I'll be rooting for it's success but I sure hope the main character isn't a wimp like every successful sports manga in the past couple of years.

The name being in English sounds cool to them the same way people think leaving random Japanese words untranslated is an intelligent decision to make. People just like having stuff be in another language.

Well in English Maybe... Because the other series name is plain dumb... It comes from "golaço" which means a great goal in portuguese.

Also... Another soccer series? REALLY? I'm brazillian and I love soccer but...

We had enough.

Or spanish, where "golazo" means exatly the same as "golaço". Actually, I think it's more Olé Golazo than Ore Golazo.

As I just said, looking over the raw to Brain Breaker it seemed liked more of a comedy battle than just pure generic battle. Maybe something like Beelzebub or Gintama. I'm a sucker for those.

And I think it's unfair and inaccurate to say it falls short every time.
Also, I'm excited for it because I care more about creators than their induvidual artistic projects.
I really like Galaxy Gangs due to reasons that are likely directly tied to Moue's personality, tastes, and views as an artist. Therefore it's likely I'll like other things he does and therefore I am excited for it.
Can you link the raw

Great cover from Shokugeki. For the first time Erina looks natural when commemorating with everybody with a smile. :P
Long life to the series!

Thanks everybody.
I'm thinking of maybe working on Seikimatsu Leader Den Takeshi after Toriko's done. That's a great series, but also really hard and it'd be a multi-year-long project if I really wanted to finish it, but I could at least do the beginning.

I'd love for that to happen! I remember Gotto! was going to do it years ago but randomly disappeared one day and never released another project.

It's a really wordy gag-ish battle-ish manga. Apparently it was one of the top 3 most popular manga in Jump for a few years though.

I don't really wanna do any more weekly manga though. It always ends up with this competition to get it out a few hours earlier than everybody else on top of trying to keep staff together and stuff. Plus I think the official English Shonen Jump will probably do whatever new series Shimabukuro does at this point. The original reason I did Toriko was because I thought the series felt different and original but it wasn't being translated.

Reading Kawada's comment about new volume every 2 months make me kinda sad. Hinomaru Zumou is such an underrated series. I hope at this rate it receives an anime and sell as much as Eyeshield21, it probably won't reach Haikyuu or KnB level.

Ok, now THAT's a way to wrap up a series. Way to go Shimabukuro.

Toriko "final chapter" is WAAAAAY bettter than: Shaman King, Reborn, Naruto, Bleach, [insert here your favorite manga that ended like shit].

It will also get central colored pages next week!
Without a doubt it had the best wrap up to a Jump manga in years even if the epilogue will be the generic "everyone gets together and have kids" ending this chapter made everything up to this point worth it which is a rarity. It stuck the landing despite a rushed final arc which is more than I can say for every series that ended this year.

I remember his comments about his new daughter too. I hope he stays longer or gets a significant boost in manga sales from the anime.

How much did Eyeshield 21 sell?
