Again, "haters" is a dumb word used by fans. But then again, I'm not a hater, I'm a realist, and I dunno if anyone else argue against the "logic" used to support the pairing but are okay with the pairing with itself. Even a fan of the pairing agreed that the ball is in Natsu's court now, and most of us, if not all of us, agree that Lucy has some kind of romantic feelings.

Downgrading it would be saying Natsu-Lucy will never happen or that there's been no development at all, but the development is overall stagnant. Only thing we get any sort of feeling from is Lucy, which can be argued in so many ways. Anyway, it's fun to debate about this, but annoying when people cry or blame something else like Irene being criticized for people opposing the pairing, but I haven't read all the posts in the chapter discussion.

Dunno about you guys, but I like being challenged on my views and thoughts. Would make for a boring time if everyone agreed with each other.

I don't mind Nalu honestly but there's absolutely no doubt about its canonisation. Not even in the slightest, I'd say. lol
The recent chapters basically confirmed Lucy's side so I personally would like to see more from Natsu. Something romantic and not platonic. I know someone will come at me saying blablabla but remember that Mashima himself said that he didn't plan the ship at first because he likes them as "more than friends less than lovers", so it's legit to consider most of actions as such, especially because Natsu is the embodiment of friendship so he is always put in situations in which he has to save his friends. ex. Tower of Heaven, he did everything he could for Erza. And he is shown doing things for Lucy and others too.
When I said "romantic" I meant something... really blatant. Not everyone will be there to analyse their relationship like I/we do, that's why showing clearly his side would be perfect. It can be crystal clear to fans, but not everyone sees everything with the heart eyes of a shipper.

Just like Gajeel confessed to Levy, or like Gray corrected himself saying Juvia isn't a nakama... Nalu needs that. It has to be blatant.

At this point, though, nobody can deny Nalu. It's always been clear to me tbh and Mashima is saving it for later. Just a matter of time.

This cover confirmed that Nalu and Gruvia are what we can call the "two main ships" because of Natsu and Gray's friendship which has been a hot topic this arc, and since chapter 1. Canon is obvious.

I really like that coloring.
As for the actual art itself, I think Lucy and Juvia being in the picture is quite the good touch.

They both were one of the reasons why the two started fighting and they both showed up to comfort their men shortly after the fight got stopped.

I am well aware of the behavior that goes on behind some discord chats, and it is indeed true that some people are posting with intentions to bait over the forums. At least, that was the case when I still frequented the first chat I was invited in. That being said, people are still entitled to their opinions on this forums. I try my best to be tolerant of criticisms on this forum, especially from people with views opposed to my own (I am a fan of NaLu as well). I like to make the distinction between disliking a pairing, and disrespecting the fans who support the pairing. The former is acceptable. The latter, for the most part, is not.

That's exactly why I like it! Like that one chapter cover with Lucy and Juvia talking on a balcony, the same chapter of Mard Geer vs their boys really cute.

I think the fun part of ships in FT is that mostly everyone knows whose endgame is whose so until that day where they become official it's fun to explore other possible relationships and developments. Which it also makes me laugh and shake my head cause people get so triggered when someone mentions a ship that absolutely can't stand (for me it's Natsu x Lisanna, if this happens I'm murdering my laptop). As a Natsu and Lucy fan, him ending up with anyone but Lucy would be a major disappointment but as a realist and a fan of FT in general it's possible they stay single and friends off their current progress, it's getting there but just not there yet.

This is how I saw Natsu's potential partners from watching the anime to catching up to the manga in order: Nali > Natza > Nalu. Natsu and Lisanna were actually kind of endearing early on but Lisanna started to fade more and more into the background to the point no one cares for her at all and she's no longer worthy of him. Natza's potential became super evident in the ToH arc, can't lie I really did like this cause I thought how Natsu saved Erza from Jellal then from the etherion, and then wishing for her to never try to sacrifice herself again was nothing but love. But once Jellal regained his memories this started to become more sibling-like, which is great too. I didn't see Nalu till the Kain fight but I've always liked their bond, it's the best in FT easily. But now it's not really a debate.

This is bold but if Natsu and Lucy stayed "more than friends, less than lovers" on some IchiRuki type of stuff but didn't end up with anyone else I don't think the fandom will be triggered as badly say if they would of they married someone else. I won't at least, rather that shit happens if not together. The evil side in me wants everyone to have affairs in the relationships because they might as well before they become canon so here's hoping Natsu gets a harem before he ends up with Lucy

Erza is taken, Lisanna has been made non-important now, Mira and Natsu would be out of the blue, and it makes no sense to have him with Juvia or Wendy.

As far as I know, Levy and Gajeel are the most canon out of all the ships, with Natsu and Lucy being least so.

Find the posts in this thread or section, all I remember is someone shipping them together. I don't mind too much with whom Natsu ends up with as long as it's done well. So far, the end pairing, if it even exists, for Natsu is really up for grabs until he actually reciprocates Lucy's feelings, assuming she has romantic feelings.

Hell, do we know 100% for sure that Gray has romantic feelings for Juvia? He didn't admit it yet as far as I know
