Well, Luffy is not a brained type, he just says what he likes and understand and whatever. XD
But it doesn't mean that he is stupid, he just doesn't care, really... What matters most for him is his crew, friends and One Piece, that's all. He is pretty sane when it comes to these three things.

Deku is basically a much shinier and better version of Tsuna

Shokugeki no Soma is leader among Jump series this time... It still feels strange seeing Toriko and Gintama losing for series much younger than them, the downfall was hard... Almost the same can be said about Shuumatsu no Harem and Saiki except that Saiki sales has always been meager. XD
Even if it is Saiki, it is a remarkable feat for Shuumatsu no Harem to surpass a Jump series, it is rare to see a series from Jump+ selling well like that. I think I will give it a try.

Nobody deserves this insult... Tsuna for me represents the zero in score regarding MC. 0 x any number = 0. XD

speaking of world's end harem, they did something weird for it last week

they put out an interactive gif chapter, when you click the pics start moving

obviously something like that can only be done for a manga that's published online

but it gives me hope for the future, just imagine a battle manga that's serialized online with moving battle scene and dynamic choreography

But that may damage the anime industry.

they're not animating the chapters

just a little movement here and there

fan-made stuff like this have existed for years

the anime industry won't lose animators (minimal movement drawn by the manga artists himself) or revenue (this won't make people stop watching or buying anime), so I doubt it will hurt them in any way

Yeah they did it for a few TLRD chapters some time ago. Helps promote Jump+ but it only really works for fanservice series for obvious reasons.

Scary... I try to imagine what they did and it is even scarier. XD
Well, there was that app, but I think you are not talking about this?

imagine this, a battle manga with a villain that people love to hate

after dodging for while the mc finally confront him and beat his ass

don't you want gif of the mc slapping him around?

like every time you click mc slaps a different cheeks or something, I know I would click on that for a good amount of time

it's also a form of fanservice

Man a battle manga with animated pics sounds dope, future of manga like shit but that could kill the anime industry sorta (I think). I follow World's End Harem for both plot and plot. Where is this gif at?

The future will be online publications, even if old school mangaka (like Morikawa, Urasawa, etc) are not willing to let it's work get online versions.

Some One Punch Man chapters came with gifs as well and at the beginning of the manga adaptation, the art was "continuous" (you can literally flip the pages and see an animation).

Some of them are here: http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-ne...man-manga-turned-into-incredible-animated-gif

But he's NOT clever. His tactics are repetitive and even his "big breakthrough" was extremely banal.
That doesn't make any sense. Its best to say that you don't like his tactics than to flat out say he's not clever.

It also doesn't help that in a series with some really creative powers, his is just physical enhancement.
That's kind of the point, quirks the characters have match up with their entire being. OfA is simple yet practical much like the protaganist
The other problem I have with the series as a whole is that it's too...entrenched. Like... there was a whole arc where all the kids became apprentices,
It wasn't an apprenticeship but a remedial activity for them to witness the day and the life of pros which is different from apprenticeship/interns which the manga brought up as a thing recently.

but it only lasted for one arc and then it was just "back to doing things at the school!"
Yeah...why would a manga called My Hero ACADEMIA be about school?

and then they recently had this "get a license" exam, but then everyone who failed the exam it was like "well you'll join everyone who got a license anyway and then get a chance to get a license then."
From the beginning of the arc it was stated that the purpose of the exam came about because they needed more heroes readily available, wouldn't make sense to fold participates back a year to get on in the field it also stated that they had two more times to take the exam even then andthey'll still have to take another study course in order to participate. Really if these are your only complaints for the manga outside the MC not being a self-insert than its doing something right.

And I like Luffy kinda protagonists, I mean compared to likes of Izuku and Naruto, he wouldn't have taken shit from Bakugou or Sasuke, he doesn't follow that shonen cliche route where you have to sympathize a rival that has been dick to you in your whole life, he will treat you back the way you treat him.
Funny thing you say this when Luffy just got the shit beat out of him by his own crewmate and vowed to not give up on him or in the previous arc where a fellow rival Law told him to fuck off to break their alliance and yet he refused and just ignored him while continuing to help him, hell in the flahback to his childhood Ace literally treated him like shit yet he continued to hang out with him because he thought he was cool. Luffy is very stubborn and won't give up on people and only ever reacts when you threaten his crew or if he sees through your intentions hence why despite the fact Franky joined up with him in saving Robin he didn't forgive him for beating up Ussop until he joined his crew. For the most part Izuku's life doesn't revolve around Bakugou and isn't trying to be his friend or to save him just to prove himself to him that he's not the same guy he picked on as a kid, he acknowledges his strength but doesn't like him. The situation with Naruto and Sasuke was bad because the latter was an unlikable poorly written character who brought everyone down by being associated with him and Naruto regressed from being a rude prankster who constantly talk shit to the sequel to Jesus who saw the good in everyone which isnot how you make a compelling rivalry.

Lol, those guys he took liking them because they were nice to him, tell me one time Bakugou treated Izuku nice in his ENTIRE life? the only time he acted nice was... the current chapter only, and he only gives him a bit advice and he's been dick to him since the beginning till now. All those characters you mentioned about One Piece, they have treated Luffy well and he took liking them, how is that so bad? And Luffy knows when to let go his friends, that arc where Ussop decided to leave the team, he was man enough to let go his friend even if it was hard for him.

I hope Viz adds Ole Golazo, even though it is unlikely. I would definitely resubscribe then.

What? Ace treated Luffy like shit as a kid and Law's first confrontation with Luffy wasn't on friendly terms either and just so you know even Sasuke was nice to Naruto at a certain point and acknowledged his strength which is something no other character at that point actually did since he was a flunkie.
tell me one time Bakugou treated Izuku nice in his ENTIRE life? the only time he acted nice was... the current chapter only, and he only gives him a bit advice and he's been dick to him since the beginning till now.
And? Your complaint would be valid if Izuku was sucking up to him but he legit doesn't actively try to be his friend.

All those characters you mentioned about One Piece, they have treated Luffy well and he took liking them, how is that so bad?
Point is that they didn't treat him well initially and in cases when they tried to push him away he was too stubborn to give up on them it wasn't a "I treat you the same way you treat me" deal he legimately liked them (in Law's case he saved his life). Hell Im pretty sure Luffy would actually like Bakugou because of his strength and laugh at his angry spurts, he made friends with an ass like Bellemy.

And Luffy knows when to let go his friends, that arc where Ussop decided to leave the team, he was man enough to let go his friend even if it was hard for him.
Luffy wanted to respect Ussop's wishes even if it meant separating and would have gladly accept him back any time and if Zoro didn't remind him that he committed mutiny and he had to beg to come back, the situation with Sanji is completely different.

Why do you guys have so much distaste for series that are settled in schools to the point of complaining about My Hero Academia? It is just the environment, it is the same as complaining that there are too many series settled in Japan. :nerd
