I think he suffers from having a loyal audience that doesn't necessarily tolerate trying new things too well. I mean, the attempt at humor there was kind of cringey, I get he's trying to grow and not be what he was before or whatever. Not like I'd hold any of this against him though.

But the Wall Street Journal article was such nonsense...
