Do you hate friends or have no friends? Why do people hate friend stuff?
Only a guy who doesn't have friend will talk 24/7 about friendship. Also, those talk are to make japanese boy socialize more with his classmates , I simply don't care about that trope.

I like friendship and stuff when it delivers well, Luffy is one of my favorite main characters, but it's about how Asta delivers it, it is so cringe-worthy reminds me Fairy Tail, but then that's a subjective i guess.
Personally I think Asta's friendship think is slightly, only slightly, above that of Fairy Tail.

Hmm..Why would you say that? if i say i need more blood in a manga, does that mean i have a mental illness? I like friendship and stuff when it delivers well, Luffy is one of my favorite main characters, but it's about how Asta delivers it, it is so cringe-worthy reminds me of Fairy Tail, but then that's a subjective i guess.
Maybe, there is evidence that violent media causes people to be more violent. So you could be one who suffers from a blood and gore perversion. People who love romance are cleary in desire of romance.

The friendship stuff in Black Clover is fine, there's exceptions of course (like last issue's chapter) but much of the time when Asta screams about friendship it's accompanied by a friend actually helping him out by launching or teleporting him with their powers or starting up a combo attack (which is more than you can say for One Piece or Fairy Tail).

I dont have a problem with Friends stuff , or bad writing, I just want good characters and battles , but the fact that 99% of the chapter is about dumbsta screaming , and seriously all of the characters are made to be his friends that helps him and consider him their "rival" or "role model".
FFS its "captains" meeting , why would dumbsta be there ? I want something that at least has 25% of the side characters focus that Bleach has , or at least a good MCs.

Chapter ranked is 44, the
end of the school play/Yuuna admitting she might like Kogarashi
chapter.
My guess is that it was people not liking the development or that this week's chapter made the EoC put it down low. (He's done this for some serious chapters before if I remember correctly)
Lowkey that end of school play was weak sauce. Yuuna admitting her feeling to Kogarashi I'm neutral on but...
when she actually confirms her feelings in Chp 46
I expect it to be shot up after this development and the day at the beach with the girls who didn't go home to their families. EoC ranking does hold weight too. It's something to watch cause Yuragi has been always middle of the pack but seems lower than usual this ToC.

The beach day happened like 20 chapters ago (Ch 30 or so), entire summer arc has been ranked already. Next ranking is ch 45 (the game chapter) and then after that is ch 46.

Oops lol well that game board chapter was interesting to say the least. Regardless these two chapters alone should make it rise.

Its not the concept of friendship itself in shonen series that ticks me off. Its the way its presented. Heck its actually one of my favorite themes to focus on if done well.

The Power of Friendship. The basic concept is an uplifting one if used right. Because at its core it has people move past their problems because they are not alone and they can take another step forward.

But it being used so much in shonen has given it a bad rep, but not totally without reason.

It being used so much, so poorly in shonen series has rendered the original concept hollow. Take a critical look at Fairy Tail for example. It's
friendship this and friendship that... yet they use it so much that it hardly even means anything. Friendship has become an empty phrase
to instantly give characters moral superiority and for the reader to instantly identify them as the hero of the series.

Black Clover's friendships speeches piss me off because the "friends" in question are barely characterized enough to be considered characters in the first place and thus any mention of friendship just feels forced and token.

Even Berserk of all series shows this with Guts becoming more kind and even happy because he learned to relax and appreciate his new comrades despite the horrors he has been through.

I especially like Fullmetal Alchemist for its usage of this. Edward does not get a bullshit power up because his friends encourage him to fight Father in a fist fight. Them cheering Ed is just a sign of how many people Ed and Al connected with throughout their long and hard journey, and Father is just the last jackass in their way.

To use a more recent example Hero Academia manages to show Deku and the people around him can grow and inspire each other to further heights through the relationships they forge with each other. Dysfunctional those relationships may be at times.

The Power of Friendship is something which should be handled subtly and with respect.

Friendship speeches lose a lot of their effectiveness when the characters in question are underdeveloped or the reader isn't invested in the emotional growth of the characters.

Black Clover story is basic but you can do alot with it because of the setting, which he's done a good job with. Characters are ok but the only time they develop is through Asta for some weird reason. Hell the powers are fine as well (aside from the walking asspull of anti magic that is his sword. Royal blood is also dumb but that's fine) it's literally just Asta. The story would be alot better if he never got anti magic and just trained with Yami to learn Ki and fight like that.

I'm of the line of thinking that it'll get sealed away from him later in the story so he has to do that or after his adrenaline evens out he'll find it hard to actually use it, though to be honest it's not likely to happen.

The anti magic sword would have been better in the hands of a main villain.

Does anyone think AoT's 2nd season will also undercut MHA's 2nd season?? I have nothing against the former, but I seriously hope this won't be the case.

As much as people love AoT I don't see it undercutting MHA it's been to long since it's first season most of its fans have probably fallen off. Thats just my opinion anyway

What do you mean? Why would AOT S2 stop fans from watching MHA S2?

Well, for one thing, we know that MHA's first season didn't make quite an impact as much as we hoped for since it only adapted the weakest arcs of the manga. AoT however, blew up almost instantly as soon as the anime aired, and ever since then it's been going really strong since.

Now that its 2nd season is coming up, there is hype riding on it whereas MHA doesn't quite have as much, I believe. Even then, it's only constrained within the ones who read the manga already. Newcomers though? Not so much IMO.

I just can't wait to see my bae in Hatsume, whew. I saw the PV and she looks great along with Class 1-B. I thought the USJ arc was hella good though. MHA was a slow starter for me cause of Deku always crying and his training was lowkey boring but it really picked up when he started school at UA.

So the Shaman King reboot did get turned down for those reasons...I wonder how much it would've sold if it got one.

Not much, when all is said it done while Shaman King was big back then most of its fans have moved on and it wasn't exactly a merchandising juggernaut to keep people invested through the years with no new anime or as of now no new manga. 2009 would have probably been the best time for the reboot with the release of the Kazeban ending, the pilot to Shaman King Flowers, the Remix Chapters and Shaman King Zero all coinciding with one another just to keep people interested.
