They're fighting for survival, they're losing friends and family to monsters, so you'll forgive Mikasa if she's not fun loving and carefree. She doesn't have that luxury i'm afraid. At least you know with Mikasa no matter how bad the situation gets she'll always be at your side. She's not a liability in any situation. If anything she's a liability to herself because she'll always put you as priority even over herself. You mention Rindou's promise to Tsukasa as if that's supposed to be such an amazing thing. Maybe it is to them, but it's all frivolous. If a top spot at a cooking school is the height of how far she'll go for a friend then you'll forgive me for not being too impressed. At the end of the day Rindou has a luxurious lifestyle that affords her to appeal to you with the promise of adventures all over the world and her cooking of course. If Mikasa had that same luxury and freedom then no doubt her personality would reflect that. But strip all that away and I doubt Rindou could be even half of what Mikasa is. If they were to swap worlds, what's to say their personalities wouldn't be like the other's that they had? Wouldn't you want to have fun with the person you care about on top of all the caring, romantic stuff?

You're undermining it imo, as if you'd of read SnS to know this, you know Eishi wants to be the best and Rindou wanted the same for herself (to be the best chef). But, she saw Eishi's passion and thought she'd do everything she could to help him achieve his dreams, sacrificing her own there. You say it's not as serious as Mikasa trying to keep Eren alive but you have to think circumstances are very different for both girls and thus you can have one promise in a life-threatening world like Mikasa's, and another in a world where there is no life-threatening danger. I think they're both alike here, supporting their best friend.

And with this post you made my entire point. You have been the one to constantly point out how much more fun Rindou is, how "carefree" how "adventurous" and "wouldn't you want to have fun with your waifu". Then you go on to point out how "old and stale and boring" Mikasa is and how her personality hasn't progressed at all. All I did Sam was turn your positives into negatives. That's all it took for you to jump on this high horse when in actuality I just used your own tactic against you. Mikasa has a reason for being more serious. A reason you pointed out. Her world doesn't afford her that opporunity to jet set everywhere and basically relax. But she can make you happy. You're saying her husband won't have fun with her, but you can't make that call. Mikasa may portray a hard exterior but she's very soft underneath. If the man she loves wanted to do something "fun" I guarantee you she would put 100% effort into it. You act as if "quality time" should be great adventures. It could also be simple things. As long as you're together and happy then that's what matters. Having fun and being happy are two different things.
Well out of Consideration of @SirSamuel016 's Health Situation currently and him asking me to do him a Favor with doing some Campaigning for his Waifu,here i am doing a NEUTRAL Post on Both Waifu's since like i said before for me its a really Tough Spot,After all the Great Campaigning done by @Belserion before she and her Supporters managed to change my View on Mikasa honestly while she may not be my Favorite of AOT now she still takes a Place as one of my Favorites now for sure and that not just for her utter Badassness at Times. Anyway that being said here goes the Rindou Part as to why i would nominate Rindou:
She shows that she isn't restrained by her Position or anything she does Stuff for the Fun of it or to see where it goes really just to make some Excitement out of her Last High School Year at Totsuki(The Cooking School in case someone doesn't know).
She showed that she isn't just concerned about herself but also about other People as well as we saw in the Recent Chapters with Megishima and we saw her show concern to Kuga as well.
Then there's her Friendship with Tsukasa,she didn't aim for the First Seat of the Elite Ten for him she stepped down for her Friend and rather wanted to be the Second Seat and watch his Back and support him in her own way,that alone shows she can be a Really Nice Person while most of her Actions are definitely based on Whims and Moody Nature of hers it still shows that she never really means any ill Will as we saw with her "Shokugeki" with Takumi and Megumi where she simply didn't feel like expelling them and just went and made it a "How Delicious can you cook?" Contest,even though she said that someone would take them out sooner or later she still could've done the Job herself easily but she didn't because as she preached before the Relationship with your Underclassmen is precious and not to be taken lightly you could say she acted like a Female Isshiki in that Moment which is definitely not a Bad Thing IMO.
That being said it definitely has to be taken into consideration how different those 2 Females actually are from each other both in the Worlds they live in and how much they are Influenced by their Circumstances as well.
For me there is a Clear Difference between them honestly in all Aspects that make their Characters, which adds to my Dilemma of not being able to make a Clear Decision here not gonna lie about it. Anyway here goes some Mikasa Campaigning:
You know, it's hard for an average Joe to understand a character with as shitty life as she had. People look at her character mostly through Season 1 and let's be honest, it didn't cover even a half of what sort of a character Mikasa is.
Sure, manga had shown as that she can go full yandere if Eren's life is literally in grave danger, but she has her reasons. She's 15 years old and although this is a fictional character, it's a miracle she did not go crazy after losing her family almost 3 times. But as manga progresses she develops as both person and a soldier.
People really need to stop looking at her as Eren's dog and learn to read properly. True, her genuine dream is "to be by his side" but there really is much more to her. I think some people put her in same category as Krillin from DBZ, simply because the guy is known for dying quite often, even though there's much, MUCH more to him as a character.
Most immediately noticeable about Mikasa is her very limited range of emotions. She is usually calm, almost lifeless, and rarely ever smiles. Very matter of fact, and not one to mince words, but not exactly cold like Annie. Anything that exists outside of what she cares about, Mikasa is numb towards. The only thing Mikasa DOES seem to care about are her friends, but no single individual is more important to Mikasa than Eren.
Weigh every single person in the world on Mikasa’s scale of importance, and Eren will outweigh everyone else every single time. Eren means the world to Mikasa, and he can bring out the very best in her. If it’s Eren, she can be kind, warm – even loving. For his sake, Mikasa can be happy, passionate, angry, sad, fearful, brave, strong. She can be anything and do anything if Eren is by her side.
Aside from matters concerning the people she deems her friends, Mikasa is very apathetic. She shows little interesting in dealing with the crisis of the Titans, and only joins the military to ensure the continued survival of Eren. If Mikasa could have it her way, she’d rather live a perfectly normal, but peaceful life as a simple commoner. Keep in mind that Mikasa is not heartless. She has a strong sense of justice, and cannot stand by and watch harm befall the innocent if it is within her power to prevent it. However, she does not have grand ambitions to save the world like Eren does. The amount of things she can care about at any time is very limited IMO.
While it may look like i am favoring Mikasa, judging by the Amount i've written here i am still NEUTRAL on the matter honestly the Campaign more appealing to me will Win my Vote i have my own Views to both Characters and i like them both equally actually but in the End i may have to choose anyway.
It also further adds to my Dilemma that those are 2 Characters from 2 of my Favorite Series.
Also i think ReReading my Post i don't really say why she is a good Waifu but why she is a good Character for me now thanks to the Previous Campaigns. NOTE:Just my Personal Opinion to both Waifu's,Vote for who you think deserves it the Most no matter on what Department lies your most Focus for your Vote here.
