Before I end this rate officially, I just want to thank everyone who took part in it.

lol Invel is just another Gay Bitch and Zeref follower.... back then Silver was completely different league (power.personality) yeah Silver created his magic for Slaying DEMONS yeah awesome right? not to mention even silver fellow demon Guild mates feared him and in his free time Silver accidentally insta freezed entire village where freaking Giants and atlas flame lived... Awesome right??

Silver vs Gray/ was probably the best fight in tartaros all the emotional Sad moments was just beautiful Silver hugging his son was pure manservice... this was the time when Gray was good character

Thats true, but at least their magics were somewhat interesting, despite their poor use of it. But Invel? He's got a crappier, less creative version of Gray's magic, as well as a crappier, less useful version of Macro(Ice Slave) that for some reason is also attributed to ice. Why does he have this? Whats enslaving people got to do with Ice? Its just stupid. And then he has the nerve to say his form of magic is better than Gray's? Ridiculous, terrible villain, terrible character.

All the Spriggan 12 were underwhelming one way or another.

Basically:

Wendy overpowered Irene enchantments. Rendering them useless.
Marin(Gemini) overpowered Jacobs transport. Leo overpowering his Stealth. Rendering them useless.
Erza overpowered Nienhearts Historia. Rendering them useless.
Ultear overpowered Dimaria Time stop. Rendering them useless.
Levy overpowered Bradman curses. Rendering them useless.
Sting overpowered Laracde White Magic. Rendering them useless.
Gray overpowered Invel Ice. Rendering them useless.
Laxus overpowered Ajeel sand same with Natsu.
Laxus overpowered Whal Machine body.

So 9/12 of the Spriggan 12 magics were overpowered at some point in the Story by supposedly weaker mages.

Serena didn't have enough Screen time to say either way and while her Mass manipulation wasn't rendered useless she did get her butt kicked alot.

All the fights had some PIS in them and not just towards the Villains but also the Protagonist.

Well I think brandish should be around no. 10, GS should be around 8-9 or vice versa.

Why everybody said how not impressive was Invel's magic? He doesn't use ice, he doesn't create ice (yes, he can as his slave magic or insta freeze), he freezes the base of stuff. He can freeze magic, he can freeze souls, I doubt he can freeze death magic like nothing.
On Gray he didn't use ice bc ice doesn't work on him, he froze his body.

Ice Slave, his serious nature, and design is what I liked about him, the 12s were cocky and playful to a degree so seeing that was different. All that doesn't make him an interesting character and too bad Juvia-dumbifyed Gray fought him (as usual, Gray can't beat anyone that doesn't use ice ). The fight was great until the dumb ending but the talk of darkness and seeing the aftereffects from his battle contributing to his fight with END and his resolution to beat Zeref made an impact on the story for what it's worth.

Top 15 will make sense most likely, cause everything else barely did lol. Gajeel or Sting should fall soon

All the Spriggan 12 were underwhelming one way or another.

Most were underwhelming because of how they were written. The S12 were cocky af and never utilized their hax in a good way. DiMaria stripped people, Brandish didn't do anything, Invel character did a 180, and turned him into a dimwit who didn't utilize his hax, Irene used her creative magics on everything else but her main battle, Bradman used none of the 9D hax which were better than his own, and Wall went clinically retarded mid fight and didn't use Etherion from the get go.

Wendy overpowered Irene enchantments. Rendering them useless.

Once or twice she offset Irene's fodder magic. Wendy couldn't do anything to her upper magics. When Wen was in Irene's body she admitted Irene's magic and skill far outclassed her own.

Marin(Gemini) overpowered Jacobs transport. Leo overpowering his Stealth.

Leo only shined light on Jacob which worked only once, and Areas of Affect only brought back the people in Transport. Jacob could've clapped his hands again and put them back. Areas Affect also shuts down spacial magic which is pretty hax, and it was the only way to counter Transport.

Erza overpowered Nienhearts Historia. Rendering them useless.

That was BS. Everyone else had to actually win their fight or beat Neinhart himself.

Ultear overpowered Dimaria Time stop. Rendering them useless.

Nope. Ultear was only able to exist in her Timestop, and let a few people bypass into that world as well. She was also getting pushed out quickly. So overpowered is not true.

Levy overpowered Bradman curses. Rendering them useless.

Only his second seal. It was completely useless on his 9D curses and his third seal.

Sting overpowered Laracde White Magic. Rendering them useless.

Well it is his DS. It's like Natsu fighting a fire user. Larcade had two other hax at his disposal which Sting couldn't get by.

Gray overpowered Invel Ice. Rendering them useless.

Gray jacked Invel's ice. He did not overpower it.

Laxus overpowered Ajeel sand same with Natsu.

Ajeel didn't use SW on either and SW is his most devastating attack.

Laxus overpowered Whal Machine body.

Pretty BS. He got a lightning power up that negated lightning immunity.

So 9/12 of the Spriggan 12 magics were overpowered at some point in the Story by supposedly weaker mages.

Most weren't really overpowered as you were saying. They just didn't utilize their magic to the best of their capabilities. Most were beat by PIS and the S12's over cocky attitudes.

All the fights had some PIS in them and not just towards the Villains but also the Protagonist.

FT had PIS for them not against. If the S12 were competent in their fights instead of over cocky they would've curbed Ishgar. I'm wondering who on the S12 side had PIS for them? Lol.

Sting Eucliffe

Damn! I was hoping Sting would make it into the top ten, but all things considered, his placement is incredible. Sting was one of those characters who had a great magic, was part of a cool guild and had an interesting backstory, but then always got screwed over by Hiro. I say he was one of those characters because the Tartaros and Alvarez arcs changed that. In Tartaros, he (along with Rogue) reminded Mard Geer of the joy of fighting humans and beat Jiemma, someone that Mard stated was individually more powerful than any of the 9 Demon Gates. Then in Alvarez, he took on Larcade and beat him after obtaining the White Shadow Dragon Mode from Rogue. The growth his character has had from GMG is staggering, and not only in regards to power. When Sting was first introduced to us he was a cocky teenager who was basically always under pressure to perform well, otherwise he'd get kicked out of his guild, but now? He's the Guild Master of one of the strongest guilds in Ishgar and is leading them down a better path, one where people aren't terrorized into prioritizing strength at all costs.

My boy's done so well.

BEST SPELL

Holy Ray

At first, I was going to pick White Shadow Dragon's Rough Silk, but I decided to go for Holy Ray. This spell is just pure hype, in general, I really like spells that have multiple beams coming from them, and this works so well with the rest of Sting's magic. To be honest, a big problem I have with Dragon Slaying magic is it's lack of ranged attacks besides the roars, so this is probably another reason I love Holy Ray.

Also, it actually looks a little like White Shadow Dragon's Rough Silk would if you removed the shadow beams.

Just want to give a quick shout out to White Dragon's Claw, I almost picked it due to the Stigma it afflicts the target with, but we never saw it again and Natsu easily burned it off in the GMG, so I went with Holy Ray instead.

BEST FIGHT

Sting, Rogue and Kagura vs Larcade

This was easily my favourite part of the Alvarez arc, after so long, we finally got a fight where Sting fights alone and isn't trolled. Now, Larcade was an interesting opponent, and while his skill set is controversial, it was undeniably effective. Enter Sting. While Spriggans running into their counters got a bit annoying, Sting vs Larcade was a perfect use of this IMO because Sting still needed help. The fight wasn't the typical "hero starts off in trouble, hero gets angry and stomps his opponent", Larcade had Sting on the ropes the whole time and he effectively used the presence of Kagura and Yukino against Sting. The fight also had great choreography, we finally got to see Holy Nova and in one of the best twists of the Alvarez arc, Rogue gave Sting his shadows. White Shadow Dragon Mode has always been amazing, and it held up here, in both design and use in the fight. While I did find it kind of odd that Sting didn't know how to use the shadows, it was really interesting to see what the World of Shadows actually looked like, and the feature of it sharpening senses was cool, albeit convenient.

BEST MOMENT

Sting "beating" Natsu and Gajeel

Had this not been a fake-out, I actually think this would have been my favourite Fairy Tail moment overall. Sabertooth had been built up to be a power house of a guild, and the Twin Dragons were the only Dragon Slayers capable of entering Dragon Force at will, so Natsu and Gajeel losing wouldn't have been a mark against them, it would have simply meant that a strong opponent needed Dragon Force to beat them despite having seven years on them. But we all know how that ended.

However, this is still one of my favourite moments because even though I hated the ending, the scenes of Sting fighting Natsu and Gajeel were fantastic. Not only was he toying with them, but he blew the stadium floor to bits and continued to fight with them mid free-fall. And even when they managed to gain a bit of ground against him and knock him to the bottom, he regained the advantage and showed off Holy Ray. Sting wasn't even a douche about beating them either, he flat out said they were strong. He even had a strong reason to fight so hard, to fulfill a promise to his best friend that he'd made when he was a child. The fact that he cared about a promise that he easily could have passed off is what made him one of my favourite characters.

Even though he didn't win the fight, that moment solidified him as one of my favourite characters.

BEST RELATIONSHIPS

Sting and Rogue

The reason I like the relationship between Sting and Rogue is because their characters complement each other perfectly: Sting is slightly cocky and much louder than Rogue, whereas Rogue is the straight man of the two. They also set each other in line when needs be, best seen when Sting stops Rogue from breaking down when Rogue in confronted by Levia, and when Rogue teases Sting after they got crucified.


Sting and Yukino

I'm not really a big shipper, but I really like the relationship between these two, mainly because she's willing to do whatever is necessary to set him straight, even beating sense into him if needs be. Much like Sting managed to stop Rogue from having a breakdown against Levia, Yukino managed to snap Sting back into a better state of mind when he thought the Spriggans were unbeatable (though who can blame him, we certainly did! ha ha ha). Also, Sting apologizing to Yukino after the GMG was one of my favourite moments in general since it's what really started Sabertooth down their new path, so that earns the relationship points too.

I was thinking about adding in Minerva but I don't really put their relationship on par with his relationships with Rogue and Yukino.

Though he did save her in Tartaros and let her rejoin the guild.

This! I'm legit annoyed right now even though I like Gajeel. Sting > Gajeel especially since in this rate he has access to WSDM. Not to mention Gajeel technically had a draw with Bradman even with his power up. Winning against Larcade with help of a power up beats drawing with Bradman with the help of a power up considering as far as the spriggans go Larcade > Bradman.

I should have given Sting a 12

Gajeel>Sting, Sting was given power by someone else, Gajeel took it himself. Besides, he didnt really get a power up, he just changed his attribute to match Bloodman's, if anything eating MBPs weakened him.

WSD is great, but it's also overrated. Gotta remember that every time one of these slayers eats a cookie they get stronk for 1 time only. The next time they use it they have less juice.

As for Gajeel salt, I'd just wait for his reveal. If his average is under 10, then he's not really rated much better than Sting.
