It has everything to do with it, Gray was clearly using Ice demon magic not normal ice. He was able to match END with his DeS magic because it has advantage against demons, You have Gray with advantage still can't do damage to a high tier incomplete demon how can you think he will able to damage a spriggan who is non demon. Only the visual effects of the attacks are the same.

Your wrong. Erza isnt a demon and Gray's attack damaged her as much as ENDs, theyre equal. Slaying advantage provides extra damage against what they're slaying, it doesnt suddenly boost your attacks to match theirs. Gray was able to match ENDs attacks because his attacks were equally powerful, not because he was a Demon Slayer, Erza's hands confirm this.

Btw i don't give a flying damn about Dimaria but you're downplay Dimaria so much. Actually none of those can break her time. The plot allowed Natsu to break it by using the only END excuse. Why your theory can't work because it's not an established rule in FT verse, It's just pure assumption. Brandish was able to mess with Natsu and the same Natsu one shotted the enhanced Neinhart yet her magic didn't work on him but she is able to mess with August.

So I have reread the chapters about END breaking Dimaria's age seal, and I have noticed something, to explain it I need to explain the chronological order of things with the important panels (from chapters 503 and 504) :

1-Dimaria one shots Brandish, then takes Natsu and Lucy prisoners in a house. Dimaria tries to take out Lucy's eyes and the scene stops there

Spoiler: Panels #1

2-The scene shifts after some time has passed since the "Stab" sound, and Lucy wakes up with blood on her face and notices her chair is broken. She doesn't find Natsu, but instead finds a roasted Dimaria screaming something about the one who broke her Age Seal.

3-Now after Dimaria keeps saying "Its a monster!", Lucy says that END did this, but that is only an assumption that Lucy made, she wasn't awake when that stuff happened so that makes her statement of it being END up to debate.

5-During chapter 504 in the fight between Gray and partial END, a weird flashback was shown about Natsu's transformation,

now things to notice in this flashback is that Natsu was holding Lucy with blood coming from her face ,the chair was broken and Dimaria is nowhere to be seen, which is exactly the same scene that Lucy woke up to. And Natsu wasn't in END form yet.The only conclusion we can come to from this info is:

-Natsu managed to break out of anti magic handcuffs, walked through Age Seal and plugged Dimaria to the wall(which is why she's not in the scene), Natsu sees Lucy not moving and assumes she's dead, which leads him to transform into END.

Based on that conclusion, that shows us the limit of Age Seal stopping at FDKM Natsu (and I'd like to note that FDKM Natsu did surpass the power of a "God" which is Ikusa-tsunagi).

Another thing I'd like to add is about Natsu's and END's hands :

The hand of the Natsu that walked through Age Seal

There is clearly a difference between END's claws and the hands of the one that walked through Age Seal, which leads me more to believe that Natsu did walk through Age Seal.

Another thing too, is that during the times Age Seal was used with Natsu around, he was always in an unconscious state, which leaves him unable to react during the time Age Seal is used, so we have no proof of Age Seal stopping time for Natsu.

The only things I see standing in the way of this being true is the visual effect of the flames in the panel where it shows his hand and an assumption made by Lucy who was unconscious during the event.
I think that the reason for the visual effect is because Natsu was using FDKM because it leaves marks of black around the fire :

So those black marks around the fire could be a FDKM move instead of END.

As the grandson of the immortal Makarov and wielder of lightning dragon slaying magic, Laxus Dreyar is one of the most capable mages in Ishgar. Once a self righteous prick that only cared about power, Laxus has changed quite a bit much like Gajeel, Jellal, and the other nakamized characters in Fairy Tail. He is an S class wizard of the Fairy Tail Guild who leads the elite thunder legion. Laxus may not have shown Dragonforce like the 1st and 3rd generation dragon slayers, but he is by no means far weaker than them. Laxus’s mother is unknown (I think) and his dad…. Well let’s just say Laxus never had a Dad. Just like Jellal, the rest of the DS, and other characters, Laxus's character was wasted away in the Alvarez arc thanks to Hiro Mashima. I will give Hiro one thing tho: he made Laxus who he is which by itself is pretty dope.

BEST NON DS SPELL

Fairy Law

Yes, it didn’t work when he tried to kill everyone in Magnolia, but there’s no doubt that he can use this spell on his ‘true’ enemies. Fairy Law uses extremely destructive light to attack everyone the caster considers an enemy in a wide area. It’s a shame we only saw this used once by him but understandable since it takes a while to charge up in battle. When you think about it though, Fairy Law could complement Laxus’s magic quite well. Laxus paralyzed Gajeel and Natsu with his roar then followed up with Fairy Law. Honestly this combo should have been used more often.

BEST NON DS LIGHTNING SPELLS

Raging Bolt

"Resounding through the air,
the roar of thunder,
plunge from the heavens
and reap destruction!"​

WEW. Not only is the spell badass looking, but that incantation tho. Laxus should have used more of his normal non ds lightning magic imo. For so many years Laxus managed to keep him being a DS a secret from everyone in the FT guild bar his Dad and probably the thunder legion. It's spells like raging bolt that make me wish we could see Laxus use a bit more of his usual lightning magic.

Lightning Body

So Laxus can turn into actual lightning yet Hiro never showed him do it past the tenrou arc? Smh, another missed opportunity. This spell could be so advantageous if used correctly. The speed and intangibility it gives Laxus could logically make him almost unbeatable. But alas this is FT. Of course he doesn't use this anymore because what would be the fun in destroying your enemies so easily?

Thunder Palace

Just like Fairy Heart, Thunder palace is another one time city level spell that has loads and loads of prep time. Thunder palace takes place when Laxus creates hundreds of Lacrima all containing high levels of lightning magic. Each lacrima also has body link magic meaning if you attack it you will also be damaged.

BEST DRAGON SLAYER SPELLS

Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberd

This spell was heavily implied to kill Natsu if it had actually hit him, but Gajeel was there to save the day (just like with Raging bolt lol). One of the reasons this is one of my favourite Laxus spells is because it was a spell that was shaped like something (a spear) instead of just being a flash of light. Imo this makes the spell unique enough to stand out from the rest of his spells.

Lightning Dragon’s Roar

Probably Laxus’s signature Dragon Slaying spell. Laxus’s roar, along with the high damage it causes, also leaves his opponent paralyzed. He was able to paralyze Gajeel and Natsu long enough to charge up Fairy Law and then some. This is my favourite Dragon Slayer roar because it looked amazing in the Gajeel and Natsu fight and also even if the opponent isn’t highly damaged from the attack, there’s a chance that he/she gets paralyzed and can’t move. This spell is also very flexible and easy to move around compared to other roars.​

Saving Team Natsu’s asses against Hades

Possibly my favourite Laxus moment. As Hades is torturing Natsu and on the verge of killing him, good ole Laxus scares the living crap out of poor Pantherlily with his thunder and saves the day. Laxus had been traveling for a couple arcs and had finally returned nicer, smarter, faster, stronger, and more badass. Hades immediately notes the similarities between Laxus and Makarov due to their similar looks and similar intensity. Before ultimately going down, Laxus is able to kick Hades around for a bit showing how much he’s grown.

Saving a town from Magic Barrier Particles

Wew. Here we have proof that to be awesome you don’t just have to win a fight. Laxus is willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of Yajima, the thunder legion, and an entire town. Even Porlyusuca was unable to fully cure Laxus after the tartaros arc was over as he still suffered from the MBPs he consumed in his fight against Wahl during the Alvarez arc. The old Laxus would have only cared about saving himself in this scenario but the new and improved non asshole Laxus truly highlights the meaning of selflessness and courage.

Seems like all of my favorite Laxus moments are him saving people lol. This was the best Laxus moment in Alvarez by far. The bad ass dialogue, the immense hype, the crazy power..... This moment had all of it. Ajeel crapping his pants might have been the best part considering how f*cking cocky this dude was while he was chasing Team Natsu lol.

BEST FIGHTS

Laxus vs Hades

A bit ironic that my favourite Laxus fights are the ones where he doesn’t win despite him being one of my fave characters. That being said, there is no doubt this was one of the best fights in Tenrou and possibly one of the best fights in Fairy Tail. I know i’ve gone full Laxus fanboy boy mode, but come on, the sheer hype, choreography, emotion, and intensity in this fight makes it stand as the best tenrou fight IMO.

Triple Dragons

Another epic fight that Laxus did not win. Though to be fair, he would have won this fight if Gajeel and Natsu were true enemies in laxus’s eyes and if Laxus didn’t exhaust himself using Fairy Law, thunder palace, and fighting S class wizards like Mystogan and Erza beforehand. Still, him winning or not is irrelevant because this fight and many other pre skip fights truly signified how badass FT was back in the day.

BEST RELATIONSHIPS

Laxus and the Thunder Legion

There is no doubt that the people most loyal to Laxus are the members of the thunder legion: Freed, Bickslow, and Evergreen. They work as not only Laxus’s team, but also his personal bodyguards. Despite them being his bodyguards, Laxus has saved them numerous times (cuz saving is Laxus’s job and everything) which really says a lot since most people wouldn’t risk their lives to help their body guards. Laxus thinks of them as more than just mere bodyguards; he thinks of them as a part of his family that he needs to protect just like the rest of Fairy Tail.

As much as I despised Laxus being reduced to carrying Makarov around for like half the Alvarez arc, there's no denying that this is one of Laxus's best relationships. Thanks to Laxus's bitch father this relationship was a bit shaky for a while, but eventually they were able to rebuild the love that they used to have for each other as grandfather and grandson. This is probably the most developed family relationship in the series and although Makarov dying could have developed Laxus even more, it's still amazing to see how far they've come.

Doubtful because it was Mira who told Lucy in that conversion.Lucy even didn't know what happened(as implied in the conversation).

Hiro really did Laxus dirty towards the end. An injured Base Natsu who just battled a god with unlimited power managed to tank Acno's attacks better than a Laxus who only had been fighting fodders the past 50+ chapters. I expected Natsu to be stronger in the end but I didn't like how Hiro made Laxus look just as pathetic as the weaker dragon slayers just to make Natsu look better. Laxus didn't even get to become guild master and Hiro turned his love life into a joke in the last chapter (NO, he does not have a harem)

As the grandson of the immortal Makarov and wielder of lightning dragon slaying magic, Laxus Dreyar is one of the most capable mages in Ishgar. Once a self righteous prick that only cared about power, Laxus has changed quite a bit much like Gajeel, Jellal, and the other nakamized characters in Fairy Tail. He is an S class wizard of the Fairy Tail Guild who leads the elite thunder legion. Laxus may not have shown Dragonforce like the 1st and 3rd generation dragon slayers, but he is by no means far weaker than them. Laxus’s mother is unknown (I think) and his dad…. Well let’s just say Laxus never had a Dad. Just like Jellal, the rest of the DS, and other characters, Laxus's character was wasted away in the Alvarez arc thanks to Hiro Mashima. I will give Hiro one thing tho: he made Laxus who he is which by itself is pretty dope.

BEST NON DS SPELL

Fairy Law

Yes, it didn’t work when he tried to kill everyone in Magnolia, but there’s no doubt that he can use this spell on his ‘true’ enemies. Fairy Law uses extremely destructive light to attack everyone the caster considers an enemy in a wide area. It’s a shame we only saw this used once by him but understandable since it takes a while to charge up in battle. When you think about it though, Fairy Law could complement Laxus’s magic quite well. Laxus paralyzed Gajeel and Natsu with his roar then followed up with Fairy Law. Honestly this combo should have been used more often.

Raging Bolt

"Resounding through the air,

WEW. Not only is the spell badass looking, but that incantation tho. Laxus should have used more of his normal non ds lightning magic imo. For so many years Laxus managed to keep him being a DS a secret from everyone in the FT guild bar his Dad and probably the thunder legion. It's spells like raging bolt that make me wish we could see Laxus use a bit more of his usual lightning magic.

Lightning Body

So Laxus can turn into actual lightning yet Hiro never showed him do it past the tenrou arc? Smh, another missed opportunity. This spell could be so advantageous if used correctly. The speed and intangibility it gives Laxus could logically make him almost unbeatable. But alas this is FT. Of course he doesn't use this anymore because what would be the fun in destroying your enemies so easily?

Thunder Palace

Just like Fairy Heart, Thunder palace is another one time city level spell that has loads and loads of prep time. Thunder palace takes place when Laxus creates hundreds of Lacrima all containing high levels of lightning magic. Each lacrima also has body link magic meaning if you attack it you will also be damaged.

Lightning Dragon's Heavenward Halberd

This spell was heavily implied to kill Natsu if it had actually hit him, but Gajeel was there to save the day (just like with Raging bolt lol). One of the reasons this is one of my favourite Laxus spells is because it was a spell that was shaped like something (a spear) instead of just being a flash of light. Imo this makes the spell unique enough to stand out from the rest of his spells.

Lightning Dragon’s Roar

Probably Laxus’s signature Dragon Slaying spell. Laxus’s roar, along with the high damage it causes, also leaves his opponent paralyzed. He was able to paralyze Gajeel and Natsu long enough to charge up Fairy Law and then some. This is my favourite Dragon Slayer roar because it looked amazing in the Gajeel and Natsu fight and also even if the opponent isn’t highly damaged from the attack, there’s a chance that he/she gets paralyzed and can’t move. This spell is also very flexible and easy to move around compared to other roars.​

Saving Team Natsu’s asses against Hades

Possibly my favourite Laxus moment. As Hades is torturing Natsu and on the verge of killing him, good ole Laxus scares the living crap out of poor Pantherlily with his thunder and saves the day. Laxus had been traveling for a couple arcs and had finally returned nicer, smarter, faster, stronger, and more badass. Hades immediately notes the similarities between Laxus and Makarov due to their similar looks and similar intensity. Before ultimately going down, Laxus is able to kick Hades around for a bit showing how much he’s grown.

Saving a town from Magic Barrier Particles

Wew. Here we have proof that to be awesome you don’t just have to win a fight. Laxus is willing to sacrifice everything for the sake of Yajima, the thunder legion, and an entire town. Even Porlyusuca was unable to fully cure Laxus after the tartaros arc was over as he still suffered from the MBPs he consumed in his fight against Wahl during the Alvarez arc. The old Laxus would have only cared about saving himself in this scenario but the new and improved non asshole Laxus truly highlights the meaning of selflessness and courage.

Seems like all of my favorite Laxus moments are him saving people lol. This was the best Laxus moment in Alvarez by far. The bad ass dialogue, the immense hype, the crazy power..... This moment had all of it. Ajeel crapping his pants might have been the best part considering how f*cking cocky this dude was while he was chasing Team Natsu lol.

Laxus vs Hades

A bit ironic that my favourite Laxus fights are the ones where he doesn’t win despite him being one of my fave characters. That being said, there is no doubt this was one of the best fights in Tenrou and possibly one of the best fights in Fairy Tail. I know i’ve gone full Laxus fanboy boy mode, but come on, the sheer hype, choreography, emotion, and intensity in this fight makes it stand as the best tenrou fight IMO.

Triple Dragons

Another epic fight that Laxus did not win. Though to be fair, he would have won this fight if Gajeel and Natsu were true enemies in laxus’s eyes and if Laxus didn’t exhaust himself using Fairy Law, thunder palace, and fighting S class wizards like Mystogan and Erza beforehand. Still, him winning or not is irrelevant because this fight and many other pre skip fights truly signified how badass FT was back in the day.

BEST RELATIONSHIPS

Laxus and the Thunder Legion

There is no doubt that the people most loyal to Laxus are the members of the thunder legion: Freed, Bickslow, and Evergreen. They work as not only Laxus’s team, but also his personal bodyguards. Despite them being his bodyguards, Laxus has saved them numerous times (cuz saving is Laxus’s job and everything) which really says a lot since most people wouldn’t risk their lives to help their body guards. Laxus thinks of them as more than just mere bodyguards; he thinks of them as a part of his family that he needs to protect just like the rest of Fairy Tail.

As much as I despised Laxus being reduced to carrying Makarov around for like half the Alvarez arc, there's no denying that this is one of Laxus's best relationships. Thanks to Laxus's bitch father this relationship was a bit shaky for a while, but eventually they were able to rebuild the love that they used to have for each other as grandfather and grandson. This is probably the most developed family relationship in the series and although Makarov dying could have developed Laxus even more, it's still amazing to see how far they've come.

Well Hiro already mentioned in one volume q and a between Lucy and Mira that Natsu did use END's power to break Hand Cuffs and knock Dimaria from behind.He held Lucy and seeing her condition he went Berserk and went fulll END.
