Well the objective of the game is to win as town, not win with as many people as possible. I'll agree that culling numbers in itself is not good for the town faction, but it also does good things for us. We're playing with ~30 people. The odds of finding mafia players improve as we cull players, we get rid of players that are suspect or in this case, could be suspect, and consequently reduce the amount of players detectives will have to choose from if they have to investigate. We're playing with this many people, so the game should go on for a few nights provided there aren't like 3 killing parties - if we don't cull the detectives, and preferably no other important roles, I'd say there was at least some value to town. Also, about the killing parties, there should be at least 2. Perhaps something third party related; if we kill 2 people today while everyone is alive, we should have a decent chance to hit them honestly.
I see, yeah there are some benefits in easier targetting, but I don't think it outweights the negatives. So you'd propose we use the killing power on someone today? Who would you use it on if you had 15 charges right now? And who would you lynch?
Giving theories is nice and all, but we need some actual targets if you want to be doing that kind of thing.

While I don´t think we should do the Genki day 1, I have to say that I kinda understand TSPanda reasoning, because we do have lots of people, with the probability of 2 mafias and 3rd parties.
We all know that some towies can be detrimental, I myself was once like that xD

Tho for now I don´t think we have some viable targets, unless we want to get rid of the less active

It is a good thing for you that I voted for Spirit already. I don't want to lock vote so early.
Look deep into your heart, you know it to be true

Panda is disturbingly Pro: "Kill as many people as possible" for my liking...

But in the end, I want to win.
I guess I can understand that, but for me nothing is more entertaining and feelsgoodman-ish than winning the game. If you want to win, and can only do that with the town side, I expect of you to try and be helpful in the time while you're alive syx.

Fair enough, but I honestly suggest anyone with ~4 posts or less. The main problem with these kind of players is that in an information game, they're not contributing at all. So I say we go from bottom to top till we have people we can target in meaningful ways

Call it mean if you want, but this game does require to kill off players. If we are to do the kill this day, we should get rid of those players that are the least active by the end of the day. Even if it's their first game.

My high suspicion people right now both syx and Battou.

Syx because he keeps saying things that don't add up. And when I've asked him to clarity he dodges the questions. So I think he's lying. But I'm not convinced he's doing it because he's mafia. If might just been that getting stiffed in the Fate Grand Order Gatcha his driven him insane.

Battou because his posts have been short and said very little. Like he's wants to post but is also holding his cards as close to his chest as he can. He also suggested three people at once were mafia; one of which being me. But didn't really explain why. Making me think all he's mafia trying to misdirect. But if he's guilty then the other two he accused, Syx and Spirit, are probably innocent.

Not ready to vote for either though.

Good morning people!

@Erinyes , I know that people have diferent timezones, I was just using that list to make it easier for us to keep track of everyone, since we do have a lot of people this time around, sorry for any misunderstadings :C

@Jammin , I feel pretty tempeted to vote for you, because we all know deep into our hearts that Androssi is shit and the true best girl of ToG is Yeon!

Also, I find it incredible that WYIS always manages to look like mafia in the games I have played
!votekill Kato756

I don't know if your mafia and I don't care!!!!!

It's kind of funny Gry, you remind me a bit of Cheadle, the person who dislikes Ging the most :lmao

The noob hunting tactic is arguably the most reliable day 1 tactic if you want to go about it like that. Only a true noob, someone with zero experience playing this game, could provide us with (read: be tricked into giving) valuable information. Anyone else will know that day 1 is the only day anything you say can be hand waved away because it's, well, day 1. The randoming about is done to pass time, meet the post limit, all because there's nothing reliable to go on. The MH meta is that of pointing fingers at the one who has revealed the most information, or better yet, who has the most information revealed about them, till we cull enough numbers. Ultimately, there's little point in doing something else than bantering.

Though an alternative could be to simply gather enough energy and just kill another player and hope that the benefit of culling numbers outweighs the cost of the risk of killing townies
The meta is that way because we have allowed it to. Why should D1 be different from any other day? Our D1 style gives Mafia too much freedom. It's almost certain they get the lynch at day and kill at night. Information is still valuable. Our way of 'because it's D1' can change.

That sounds like a very horrible plan. Chances of hitting a Mafia are way too slim. It's much more likely to kill more townies, and then culling the numbers would become counter productive because Mafia have info but we do not. And because we let D1 be random, they likely get away with it.

I agree, so I guess it would be helpful if everyone stopped powering themselves up (seriously, why is this even possible)

On the other hand, however much it seems to make sense to transfer to Demon... Giving Demon power just doesn't seem like a good idea lol

@Emperor Spriggan OK, that's well and good. Any particular reason why you picked those two for your coin flip?

Obviously we 'allow' it too, since it's the most obvious thing to do. D1 is fundamentally different from any other day because we have no information that is reliable. And so, yes, D1 typically goes to mafia, that's true.

For one, I don't think our chances are that slim. With 28 players, we should assume 8~10 players are not town. Provided we managed to pile up enough power, we have around ~30% chance of hitting a mafia, given it's almost a random hit.

I´d normally agree with this, but dunno, this is a game wit hlots of players, what do you sugest we do diferently?
Had this been a game of around 15 people with more experiencied people, it´d be other story

@Jammin it is still true bro xD

Yeah my main beef with the mechanic is giving it to yourself. It feels like a cheap way out of making actual decisions and doesn't promote more interactions with others to find out who you should give your energy to. But it is what it is..
I'm still conflicted at using it regardless, but the way it looks like we won't get 15 people to power up 1 person this day anyway, so we might as well keep it on ourselves or on some other people for now. But if 15 decide to power someone I don't think it matters who it is, even if it's demon, if he still uses it on the person the majority of us want to kill off. Which could be an interesting dilemma of giving a mafia a gun to his friend's head.

I agree, one can´t randomily choose whonever it wants, it has to listen to town otherwise it is pretty sure he will get lynched...

Yeah, if someone says, 'I just don't trust them, transfer power to myself!' (which doesn't make much sense, if you're transferring power to yourself, you're not transferring anything but instead powering up, but that's a minor detail), they would actually be right. It's a plausible thing to do, and hard to argue against really. And yeah, like you said, it's a way out of making decisions and interacting with other players. Without that clause, imo, it'd much better.

I'll transfer my power to Demon and hopefully enough will go along with the plan. And yeah, definitely, if we condition the usage of the power to target someone we decide on and he doesn't do that, we can simply move to lynch him the next day based on suspect behaviour.

What are the odds of Demon being mafia again, amirite?
