GFC 2017 5th & Final Oneshot - Mahou Shonen X (Magic Boys X) Raw
https://tieba.baidu.com/p/5351187363
Mahou Shonen X by Tadaichi Nakama

he likes Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind & Sexy Voice and Robo (best taste this round)

regarding the oneshot itself, it's a combination of suburban horror and battle shonen aka the Fujita's specialty

and for the third time this GFC, a oneshot that would fit so much better in Jump Square

I'm conflicted, I can see how this can be entertaining but I can also see how it could go the typical dark n edgy exorcist manga route which I don't like

pretty Bleach-ish first chapter btw

I don't read japanese, but from an aesthetic point of view I also don't think it fits the WSJ style.

Im looking at these new big 3 threads and discussions
clearly the big 3 is -OP, Haikyuu, MHA
but its amazing how dumb people are that they still dont know what the Big 3 are. got people arguing what counts as big 3 and what made OP, Naruto, Bleach the big 3(shit like "they were popular in the west")

its amazing when i read these not one mentions that it had to do with the top 3 most sold for WSJ. Nope just people coming up with BS out they ass

even when MHA and haikyuu are brought up, idiots talk about "well they dont got the popularity in the west to be apart of it":XD . People still struggle with this

The Big 3 will forever and always be only One Piece, Naruto, and Bleach. Nothing else. There will be the 3 highest selling manga in the magazine (OP, MHA, and HQ) or the 3 most popular worldwide if it's even possible to measure (OP, MHA for sure, not sure about the 3rd). But that's it. The Big 3 has come and gone.

Big 3 is a historic term used to refer exclusively to Bleach, Naruto and One Piece. It's not for the three current topsellers but for these three specific manga due to their insane popularity in the west a few years back. It's a western term in the first place

The color page is really damn good. The background art is good too, but the character art is where it's weakest.

Everytime time I see the preview with this ball of fur I think that the editors are going completely insane to the point of no return.

pretty sure people have mentioned how its a actual thing and was even mentioned in Gintama.

I dont read Gintama but I have seen several refer to this.

how is it a more ridiculous concept than

or

or this blue ball which is one of the most successful manga of all time?

It doesn't sound a compliment for me. XD

All of them have a better design than that ball of fur, all of them have expressions that make them funny and likeable. The ball of fur there looks very static, no expression, doesn't have anything to makes me think that it will be funny or likeable. Doraemon I already knew, of course, but the other two it is the first time I've seen, or if I saw, I don't remember, even then I found them amiable right when I put my eyes on them. There is a clear difference.

Yeah, the Big 3 has only ever referred to One Piece, Naruto and Bleach specifically. You know it's specific since I don't believe Bleach was ever the 3rd best-selling series in Jump.

It was only referring to Western popularity.

Naruto and Bleach weren't even the top 3 most sold for WSJ when the "Big 3" concept became a thing -.-
Something like One Piece, Dragon Ball, Kochikame or Dragonball, One Piece, Kochikame. Naruto just recently cracked the #3 spot after it ended (something like 220 million copies sold)

Big 3 is the concept of the top 3 most popular MAINSTREAM anime in the West.

edit: if you want to argue about top 3 best selling manga per volume at that time. It was One Piece, Hunter x Hunter and Naruto in the magazine, then Prince of Tennis is also up there.

Also, mentioning Big 3 in 2017 :pwned. You guys are giving me flashback to those Youtube's comment about the list of Big 3. I have to get my eyes Bleach after reading those lists lol.
