The last FT Arc had way too much "fake deaths", that was poorwritin IMO. Everyone who "died" survived in some "mystical way".

And I am really no person who thinks a death is needed, but when you "kill" about 5 characters and in the end not one dies it's just naahhhh

There's no way it'll win. OP is awesome. And FT is hated. It's a little too much at times but there's no excuse for a good whack of the writing in the last half of the manga.

Essentially I can hear this music playing already...

Asspulls are aplenty in FT. OP not so many. Though One Piece might indeed top She's Erza if Luffy somehow defeats Katakuri. Nobody beats Starch-sama!! Not even Erza. (Come to think of it, if Erza did fight Starch-sama, he would state her nakama speech before she did )

I compared the best of Fairy Tail in regards to story, characters, art, fights, feels, villains, epicness, consistency and so on with the worst of One Piece in the respective categories.

One Piece won, neg-diff.​

I don't need to do the math to know that FT wins. Yes OP has a great storyline but overall, FT is he better pick based on artistic style (visual stimulation is a huge point for reading comics) and the main characters are better.

What Fairy Tail had going for it:

- Good fanservice
- and sometimes even really good arcs at the beginning, or interesting villains. Problem is, it all went to shit towards the end of almost each arc. I knew I could count on Mashima even ruining Acnologia, but I would've loved to be proven wrong

Voted for One Piece, because of the whole Story > Sagas > Arcs > Chapters structure. I didn't read it, I admit, but according to my own experience as a veteran otaku, One Piece may lose to Fairy Tail in art, but in story it's a one-sided win for it.
