@MarmaladeSky watch it. It was honestly dope, really gives off the FT vibes that made most like the series. I feel the same how you feel on the final arc but the movie fills in some of the gaps smoothly regarding END, Acnologia, the Dragon King Festival. I enjoyed it as much as the first movie. It's some plot holes discussed and some average fights but the great fights, comedy, and a few "oh shit" moments regarding stuff with Dragon Slayers and spells made it up for it. The movie only characters were great except like two, you're gonna like them.

Nothing yet. But if I could guess the Blu-ray/DVD release of Dragon Cry could be included in a limited edition of volume 63 along with some kind of omake about the 100 Year Quest since they did the same thing with Phoenix Priestess. Like when they released the Phoenix Priestess on DVD and included the limited editions of volumes 33/36 though only the limited edition of volume 36 had the omake in it.

So we get even more on Sonya’s backstory? I wanna read it, the movie didn’t explain how her and Animus got to the future.

Haven't seen the movie yet, but to be honest, I was actually never a fan of the FT movies to begin with.

I've always preferred the anime, since it closely focuses on the plot and there are more characters involved. The FT movies always seem to be centered around Team Natsu, and so that dynamic got old for me pretty fast.

Not to mention, Dragon Cry is obviously centered around the dragons, which I never had a major fascination in.



If I get the opportunity and time to watch Dragon Cry, I'll probably post my thoughts about it here. That is, if the sub-section is still up.

Though, I have to admit, seeing Gray's DeS marks animated will be kinda cool.

Acnologia on the other hand... I almost couldn't care less with what happens to that guy. Same goes for Animus, who I think makes his dragon appearance towards the end.

only thing we get in this film is abit of igneel at the beginning and yes how he was found by Makarov too

In this movie Lucy defeat a ton of soldiers made by dragon magic with just her Sagittarius Stardress and the Sagittarius Spirit while any of the others magics like: Erza, Gray, Gajeel, etc could defeat the same ''kind'' of oponent.
