The insomnia problem, I can relate to it. Maybe your "biological clock" is distorted for some reason, I got mine pretty fucked up last summer for working at nights and took a month to fully recover.Nothing special, but why sleep earlier if you can sleep later
Used to have quite heavy insomnia 2 years back, nowadays I generally can fall asleep but not very easily. It's more common for it to take some hours lying around for me to fall asleep than not. It's faster to fall asleep when I go to bed later than earlier, so I'm living by that currently.

That scene is quite the punch in the stomach the first time watching it. At first you think it'll be okay but it keeps getting worse with the poison, blood and arm cutting, then when Riko stopped breathing and the insects started gathering. And the voice acting for that scene was perfect. Mitty's backstory in a later episode is more messed up than that, but that one doesn't have the "what will happen" feeling since it's a flashback and you know the end result.
The story from there is pretty much what it's been all along. The journey to the bottom, going through all sorts of Abyss' layers, getting food and staying alive/dealing with the creatures and people they encounter along the way. With the ongoing mysteries of what's to come. The manga is pretty good, but once you've caught up it's long waits for a chapter unfortunately. But the chapters from the end of the anime til the latest chapter are all worth the read for sure, with 1 big arc finished and another one currently underway.Gotta say it's cute seeing @gnut passionately recommend his favorite animes around--- Double Post Merged, ---But he still ain't seen JoJo
