You jerk......:emocat

I was really sad that he lost against Aomine, who I disliked back then but with good reason. But at least that match was really good, one of my favorite KnB matches :zomg

Happy bday, Misho \o/
Joining the club of the ones soon to hit 30, huh, like Tommy ^_^ (and Ustie and Evil and Bob and Tina and etc etc etc).
... come to think of it, it's so weird not to imagine you guys as chibis anymore o.o
Anyway, wish you a lovely day \o/ (it's kinda cute that your bday is close to Panda's)

He can’t stand up to Daiki. But it ws a good match at least

Yea whatever. At least Aomine is an awesome character in the end. He was an OP jerk at first but he develops pretty well. Had great moments.
Especially when he beat the crap out of Seiren in their first round. That was pure gold :XD

Honestly I could be surprised if someone don't know kuroko no basket.
On this forum that's impossible because it's hyped af here.

But I haven't seen or read anything of it except for the occasional gif.

It's highly overrated. But it's a damn good manga nonetheless. :nod

We've had some snow over here too btw, it's crazy.

It‘s a fun watch for sure. But Haikyuu is much better imo. The „special abilities“ in KnB were fun but unrealistic and silly when you think about it.

It's like anime, but you read it. :nod
LOL xD
In all seriousness, there are few times where I think that anime > manga

KnB is one of them :nod

It's very rare, I agree. Mushishi is the first one that comes to mind for me (though the manga is also great).

Oh, and Planetes.

I would love to read Mushishi very soon :wtf
I did recommend that manga in the reading group
I heard that it's a seinen Natsume Yuujinchou so I'm looking forward for it... (or the anime.... or both xD)

I also heard great things about Planetes. I'll probably watch the anime first.

Yeah, both series are good in both forms, but I recommend the anime ahead of the manga for both series.

I think that nowadays the animes are doing a great job at being faithful to the mangas. It's easier to find a good amount that follows the mangas quite precisely. Then you add the fact that the animes have OSTs and often great animation quality (again, nowadays), and yeah, I currently end up prefering the animes as well, Elu.

Alright then... I shall believe in your words :nod

You have to wait though. I have a lot to watch first xD

It depends on preferences. Most people think that manga > anime for obvious reasons (like it's the original source and whatnot). It's the same for me but I do believe that there are some anime that surpasses its original work.

A seinen Natsume... that’s not very accurate, imo. :XD

They’re both supernatural, but that’s about it.

Mushishi is darker, more philosophical, poetic and beautiful. It’s also very episodic, where each episode can pretty much be viewed on its own. The setting gives it a very “folk tale”-y vibe compared to Natsume’s more slice-of-life/high school setting.
Natsume is much more light-hearted, has more action (yup), humor and an ongoing story continuing over arcs.

I like both series a lot, but Mushishi is a lot better suited to my personal tastes tbh. Not that I think they should really be compared in the first place.

Yeah I didn't say that's a rule for any anime nowadays '-'
Imo BnHA, SnK and AnY are good examples of that. I haven't read the manga of Mahoutsukai to mention that one, but seems to be the case as well.

If you think about FMA Brotherhood and SnK, for example, I prefer the animation over those cancer initial drawings ç.ç (although I wouldn't skip the mangas, since the animes usually change or lose a lot of the subtle meaning the manga provides to the story - even though translations cause the same).
