Chapter 5 of Act-Age made Kei's "training" feel way too unhealthy; someone who dissociates from reality that intensely needs serious help.
I think you are trying to create excuses to free him from his own responsibilities. He is a professional mangaka, there is no excuse, either he has time for his own series, or he doesn't serialize anything, period. If he has time to draw the series, he has time to talk 30 seconds on the phone about a decision that will influence the covers of the series he is drawing for the rest of the serialization, because they don't change the design of the cover very often, if they do. It is trash and it is trash because of him, in part. No excuses. Boichi is a veteran, he is scared about talking about his manga is nonsense.Considering this is his first big chance to make it really big as a mangaka, he might be slightly reserved on sharing his opinion about the cover designs or he's simply too busy to care about such things when he's busy with two weekly serializations.

Surely this didn't make him slightly angry.
What if he just doesn't care or he doesn't consider covers important? He would be to blame for that I guess. Or he can't be bothered to talk on the phone or deal with any extra BS, because having two weekly serializations is almost suicidal. The cover is trash because of him? I doubt he was in charge of designing the cover, he just sent in the art. We can't know for sure what's the true story.I think you are trying to create excuses to free him from his own responsibilities. The cover is the inviting point of any series, it is what people see first. Supposing he doesn't care about covers, I really doubt, he would be a disgrace of an artist. As I said in my previous post, if he doesn't have time for his own series, why bother? This is Jump, if you are going to do it half-assed, don't do it, there are a lot of people waiting for this chance, the line is long, nobody is pleading him for a series. What if he just doesn't care or he doesn't consider covers important? The covers for Stone really are baffling and a mystery. I almost never see manga volume covers in general which I straight up consider terrible, especially from the large publishers and yes, volume covers are unbelievably important. Maybe they legit thought that the covers look great or something, lol. I don't even know what to say.The cover is the inviting point of any series, it is what people see first. He is not in charge of designing it, but they ask the approval of the author, always. Authors have a saying about the design of the covers in other countries. If they don't like a certain color in the corner of the cover, they can disapprove and the publisher will have to fix it. It is real testimony from a publisher here in my country. There are even author who can bar the publication of its series in other countries altogether. lol
Mangakas are not machines who just draw and let the editors take care of the rest, they have a saying in everything unless they choose not to, which is a shame.
Don't mean to be rude but I'm not sure why you're shilling Bones because even with their four sub-studios, I doubt they'd be capable of producing/co-producing hundreds of episodes for multiple series at the same time and keep the same level of consistency. Long running anime at day time are expensive and much more harder to make compared to seasonal shows which don't require long periods of pre-production. Toei and Pierrot get contracted by companies to produce those long running shows because they believe the studios have the infrastructure available to handle it.Yes, the part about freelancers is mostly true, but there are some studios that have very solid backbones when it comes to their non-freelance staff members and their studio infrastructure is simply miles ahead of other studios, like Bones, or at least their approach is better, those circumstances make up the exceptions, but boy does the difference show, right?
Long running shows tend to be more successful than seasonal shows due to various reasons. It's not a bad model because other studios aren't doing it. They just can't handle it because of lack of staff or connections. The biggest downfall for Toei and Pierrot probably is the fact that they're the last two studios that are still stubbornly clinging to this bad model of long running anime, but it looks like Pierrot are caving in slowly, since they're making more and more short anime.
Seasonal shows don't require a lot of preproduction like long running shows.. It's not really comparable. With BNHA, Bones are really making sure the anime has a good production schedule, which shows just how important the anime studio can be.
Well, OLM is the studio doing Pokemon, Yokai Watch, Beyblade, Cocotama and Vanguard. They're huge. Just look at all the shows they're currently working on. MonHun is by David Pro. And there is also Detective Conan, which is by TMS.How are Toei and Pierrot somehow the ones who you say are the only studios doing long running shows? Are people ignoring Bushiroad animes, and whoever is making the Pkmn, YGO, MonHun, Beyblade, etc?
So something like Darling in the FranXX? Because most of the people that left Gainax are working on that show.I don't see Bones picking up Dr. Stone. I do wonder what Boichi meant by "studio with attractive girls that aren't moe." The first thing that came to mind was Gainax but they're kinda dead. 00's Gainax might have done something fun with Dr. Stone, though.
Damn, I didn't know that OLM does Major. That's new for me.Well, OLM is the studio doing Pokemon, Yokai Watch, Beyblade, Cocotama and Vanguard. They're huge. Just look at all the shows they're currently working on. MonHun is by David Pro. And there is also Detective Conan, which is by TMS.
Anyway, everyone forgets BNP with Aikatsu. Which has been consistently running since 2011.
So you're seriously defending long running shows despite how bad they end up being almost every time.Don't mean to be rude but I'm not sure why you're shilling Bones because even with their four sub-studios, I doubt they'd be capable of producing/co-producing hundreds of episodes for multiple series at the same time and keep the same level of consistency. Could you kindly tell me more about this interview with Inoue? I'm assuming it's recent? Is there any translations on Inoue's interview? Even a brief summary is fine.

The kid ones in the morning are the most popular in the country thoSo you're seriously defending long running shows despite how bad they end up being almost every time.
Long running shows aren't a bad model? What a joke. I wonder why they're dying out except for the kids ones.
I actually work for Bones, but don't tell anyone. They are.one of the best studios out there
