Just finished K.K and City something (Jump Giga). It is average, background art is nice though. Easily forgotten characters.

I wonder what went so wrong with Hinomaru. True, it still survives, gets part 2 story in manga, gets anime, did 1st place in first ToC.

Yet its sales are simply terrible. RobotxLaserman in less than a year had sold more than Hinomaru in the 4 years it has been published.

PD: In Scruffy8642 list so far, only titles which started 2nd in ToC has been Assasination Classroom and BoBoBo. In 3rd place you can see some more.
PD2: Most of Jump survivors started in 4-6th place in ToC with some exceptions in both sides of spectrum (Kimetsu started 10th for example). So I'm hoping Noah's Notes starts in 4th-5th position in its first ranked ToC.
Yep. It's also weird how a manga that sells 30k had an anime but that's probably to try to augment the sales of the volumes. The manga is probably more popular in the magazine itself tho

It seems someone has started to scanlate Act-tage.

Chapters 4 and 5 Edited Mangas are in Mangadex

I got confused at the end, and then I noticed that the two pages should be stitched together (It was fixed)

Just finished the 2 chapter, I am even more invested now,

The Dream Must Live On!

Searching for Ring ni Kakero Edited Mangas:
-Spanish group (Shadow Edited Mangas) was at a good rhytm, but after chapter 80 out of 125, it dissapeared two years ago.
-English group (Happy Scans) goes at a chapter per year, so we are stuck in chapter 27.
-I've just found than a french group (Anime Heart) has scanlated the complete manga.

Time to check how my french language skills are.

It was adapted in 36 episodes. Wouldn't have a clue if that covers the entire thing, but I guess that's your best bet. Anime seems to be the only option for many of these older series.

Those 2 chapters were pretty interesting. I hope Act-Age sticks around for awhile longer. It looks like the group that translated those 2 chapters stated on Mangadex that "We did 2 chapters, but don't consider this picked up." Looks like they're not too sure if they're going to stick with translating it yet, hopefully they will though

The concept of Act-Age is cool, but the author should have a little more subtlety.

No, it doesn't. It covers only chapters 30-80 of manga.

Manga is happily complete in french. Man, Ring ni Kakero is truly good. Best manga end I've ever read.

So after reading Act-Age chapter 4 and 5, I feel like it might survive for a while. I really enjoyed the chapters, but the missing background is kind of bugging me. Still, I really like Koyama as a character. This is probably Act-Age's strength, the premise is refreshing compared to the other stuff we usually get and there are a few interesting characters. Although it still doesn't really feel that much like a Shounen manga, tbh.

I'm at least certain it will survive the next cancellation round though. Shounen Jump currently has one open slot, because four manga ended when we only got three new manga. Bozebeats is ranking pretty low, so it's most definitely going to get axed the next time. Then if HxH goes on hiatus again, there are three open slots for new manga. Even if HxH doesn't go on hiatus, there are stil two open spots for new series.

So Act-Age will probably at least get to around the 30 chapter mark, as we usually get new serialization rounds every ~12 weeks (although it was only 7 weeks this time). What comes after that depends on how well it does in rankings and how well it sells.

I also read Act-Age 4 and 5 and really liked it. Still cheering for it's survival.

*Recalling the talk of other day about best artists*

I'd like to nominate Tabata. Black Clover drawing art is truly amazing, very detailed, and is consistent.

Yes, I really love Act-age so far! The two main characters are great and I enjoy the setting and how we get to learn about the Japanese film/TV industry, it's a behind the scenes with crazy characters. I really want to see this for more than just 2-3 volumes, so for now, let's go for the goal of at least 5 volumes! I think the art is great, since the facial expressions are always on point and that's really important since this is about acting and the simple backgrounds give the characters, which are supposed to be in the center of attention, the highlight.

Noah's Notes chapter 2 was great, I feel confident this has what it takes to survive, it's left a strong impression on me.(and hopefully it does the same for Japanese readers)

Ziga was meh for me, so I won't be reading more of it. I feel like this was almost cool, but something was lacking in the execution, in both the writing and the art and I can't really say what the exact problem is, it just felt off. It could take an interesting turn, but I don't really want to continue this journey.

Jujutsu Kaisen, after reading 3 chapters... Its strongest point is definitely the art... The story has some very cheesy cliche and typical basic formulations which make it hard to take the story super seriously. I'm talking about things like, "1 in a million chances" or "the strongest curse of all curses" or whatever the exact formulation was, so hopefully we see less of those. Can the author try to develop the story in an interesting way? The characters haven't really caught my attention much, but I wouldn't mind seeing more of them, and actually we've barely had the chance to know them despite being 3 chapters in, but the upcoming chapters will probably give us a better idea of how everyone's like. I think the possession aspect can become interesting and a strong point if handled well, or it will fall flat. It heavily reminds me of Black Torch and these upcoming chapters will show how this will differentiate itself, either in a good way, or a bad way, I personally enjoy Black Torch much more than this, I think BT is executed in a better way. If this got axed, I probably wouldn't care, but if it stayed around, I wouldn't mind either.
