I think Posuka and Harudate are way better at odd angles and perspective. Having said that I love this cover, especially the colours. Rumour has it that he went traditional again, not digital.
He talked about last weeks CP and the volume 18 cover in last weeks author comments here

tfw a WNL cover is naughtier than a Yuragi cover.
Well this volume does have the series three of the most ecchi focused chapter so its not surprising that the cover would look like this.

They're just in towel so I don't see the appeal on it. There's nothing appearing in there too lol

Don't underestimate the power of suggestion.

They're wet and just wearing a towel.
Wet... towel.
... just a towel.

Yep, he definitely went traditional again. You can almost always make out when someone does something digitally or when they use traditional copic markers.

Those 2 are really good as well but Hori's art makes his character seem whole. I don't know how to explain it. You can feel the weight and depth of the characters in his angles and drawings. It's obviously more than just the perspective, it's also about the thickness of the lines and the effects that go into it but I honestly believe Hori is better. But again, just my opinion.

Horikoshi seems to like to test color schemes. Even in digital, he does not use just one.

"anime" style:

"old american comics" style:

"modern american comics" style:

"brush" style:

"tokyo ghoul" style:

"mama, I bought copics" style:

Most mangakas follow a pattern, he doesn't.

Technically, Kubo tried distinguishing volume covers for each arc.
Start to end of Arrancar Arc (Aizen's defeat) - Regular color scheme

Fullbring Arc - Glossy volume covers

Thousand Year Blood War Arc - Color shaded volume covers

It's obviously not as extreme as trying different coloring styles but it's a nice touch from Kubo.

連載2周年記念の2週連続Cカラーッ!!
Yuuna's color page next issue is for the 2nd anniversary. It's getting consecutive color pages (next issue+issue after next will have CPs) for it.

If Kubo is great at something is to make covers. All of the covers of Bleach are really really good.

Fullbring arc volumes were really great. It's the shading of Ichigo and Riruka that are just fitting. Hori’s art in general is great but the digital “anime” ones you can’t beat them. Just look at the heroes vs. villains spread.

Was Sky Claw the one shot with the curly haired MC? If so, I'm excited for it. Loved that.
it's this one

https://mangadex.org/manga/20983/sky-claw

he didn't say it's going to get serialized tho, he said its author Shindou Masaoki (who won last year GFC) along with Kawasaki (who won the 94th Tezuka special award) were going to get a series in the future

we kinda already know that

The art of Kubo is very good.
Bleach is one of my favorites manga, and I'm crazy to see the new oneshot of Kubo.

All these people excited to see the new works of Kubo and Kishimoto. Now imagine when One Piece ends and Oda announce a new one-shot. Imagine the websites crashing, #gOdaIsBack on twitter, thousands of theories.

I envy our grandchildren.

Because we are fans of their former series? It's natural to want to see them return with more especially without the constraint of their old series and the old plots.
Same reason why anyone would want an author to release a new book.
