My favorite sports manga is Ring ni Kakero followed by Captain Tsubasa, and I love all the lore behind Play Ball (a pity nobody dared to sub freaking 12 episodes from a 2006 anime)

See, I was on board with Sumo and Robot (despite not being a big fan of Kuroko) since chapter 1 and am just as immersed as I was with say Slam Dunk or Ippo (I know, not Jump).

Meanwhile Haikyuu only sucks me in through the anime.

Is it really that good though? That final arc was awful, by the end every single character was unlikable (shudders when I think of Nakai), and Ohba simply cannot write women. It's almost as if he's never actually spoken to one in real life, or characters that just get completely dropped (dog boy)

I really really love a lot of Bakuman, but a lot of it is also pretty bad. Especially in the latter half.

RnK > Ippo for me. I may be the only person in Earth who thinks that way, yet I'm serious. Even more serious after having read all manga in french. I now understand why Kurumada preferes RnK over Saint Seiya.
