Oh yeah Reborn was a mega flop in the US as well and I think Gintama only got released here waa because the translator liked working on it despite the fact that the series never sold well. Viz has always seemingly back pedaled whenever an old series gets fraction again. Remember how Jojo originally flopped in the US and over a decade later with its new found popularity Viz licensed the Jojo premiums and released the entire series again starting with Part one.

That's on them for releasing part 3 and part 3 only. Although i really like the new Jojonium format, they are expensive AND in Japan release they are only part 1 2 and 3 so i'm interesting to see which format they will do for part 4 onward. Will they ask the author to draw the editions or what. If they don't then my OCD will be off the chart. There are only 17 Jojonium volumes, English is at 8 right now.

Well I was joking around with the whole ninja thing. Although yeah I'm definitely hyped for this. It's confirmed to get a serialization if it's popular and it's for the 50th anniversary so I'm pumped to read it as we're getting closer to the one shot.

Are you guys going to do the Build King oneshot and series if it gets picked up by Jump?

I don't think he would make any promises on that but it seems likely he would. He's busy with Gintama/81driver/Takeshi so keep that in mind.

You're right lol I thought about that later. Since it was axed and didn't had success, neither the author or a publisher would like to repeat it for most of the cases.

Most cases it's because the author doesn't have the motivation or the alternative isn't very good. There's very little legal obstacles for the author when it comes to moving their work to somewhere else. There are plenty of cases where axed series get offers from somewhere else (usually from minor publishers or start ups web-manga sites) but the author declines due to various reasons. (and others where the author do follow through)

I don't know whether Bozebeats can get back up but the story is incredibly haphazardly written. I don't know what the editor was doing letting this kind of patchwork writing through. It doesn't help that the main mystery was barely done properly and now a major plot point is being shoved in with zero buildup. The battle scenes are also a mess. This is another problem I have with recent Jump. You don't have to thrown in lots of detail. Just make the action flow well. Just make it so that I can easily make out what's happening. Usually that's enough to get the reader pumped up. I don't want to stop on a panel trying to figure out how that character hit the other one or how a character got on that traffic light on in the traffic square. I should be able to see the flow as I read the first time. That does wonders for momentum and it gets the blood pumping.

Well, I guess we'll probably get at least three new series next round unless they don't have enough. If there are only two new series, Act-Age will probably survive another round and will get cancelled alongside Jujutsu and Ziga.

It's sad to see it go, but it just doesn't fit into Shounen Jump. Hope the mangaka come back with sth new. They certainly have potential. One thing that definitely needs improvement is the art though.

It's sad, Act-Age had potential.

You know toc positions don't matter before week 8 right? Jujutsu's first placement is next week.
I think Jujutsu being high up means the exact opposite of what you're thinking. It's probably more like they're trying to push it one last time.
I mean Jujutsu was the least well received out of the three new series and Noah's Notes by far the best received. I honestly doubt japanese readers think much different.
