I trust that A1 would do well with it. And personally they never released anything i hate. I thought the 7 Deadly Sins anime was fine(I'm not huge on the manga or anime though), and Erased is amazing until the last couple episodes. But i blame that on 12 episodes simply not being enough to reasonable adapt it. Should have been like 15 or 16 episodes, but you rarely see that.
Don't get me wrong, Erased is great as an anime, but mainly because of the soundtrack. The anime barely follows the manga at all and is rushed on top of that. Erased anime should've been 22 episodes. There are I think 44 manga chapters, so they could've made the anime 22 episodes.

I only watched the first season of Nanatsu no Taizai and didn't really get into it, but the animation was terrible and it adapted over 100 chapters in 24 episodes. The only good thing was the soundtrack.

And the most terrible adaptation A1 has done imo is Ace Attorney (at least from the ones I've seen). I'm a big fan of the games, but the anime adaptation was one of the most terrible anime adaptations I've ever seen. Whoever thought it was a good idea to let Yuuki Kaji voice Phoenix Wright/Naruhodo Ryuichi, let alone the terrible animation and way too fast pacing. I rarely see anime where the voice actors don't fit the characters, but that was definitely one of them.

Erased wasn't that good to begin with and the ending wasn't a big surprise

They barely have an identity, how can you trust A1 lol

Or perhaps he was curious and wanted to know IF he ends up liking it? It's not like he was demanding for it to be serialized. Well he can speak for himself if he wishes but I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. Even I considered the possibility of this one shot being a flop.
there is a chance you might end up liking any oneshot in any magazine and wanting more of it, but they only asked about this one

1- Wrong wc on my part
2- This synopsis was posted a week before the one shot and sufficed, alongside of the 3 "random" pictures that were obviously the house we saw in the preview.
3- Not really.
4- Did I not say where it's not hard to piece together where the series can head off too, rather than will? This is the same mangaka that took eating/hunting food to a near galactic level at the end.
1-ok
2-i still have not read the manga yet, if you haven't said that was the same house I wouldn't have guessed it, so thanks for proving my point
3-we will have to agree to disagree
4-again you're proving my point, that you can't judge a book by its cover

With a one shot there's only so much you can squeeze in and show off, even if the series is expected to be short. Like I said the one shot is more like to test the water, it's the rough draft. I don't see the point in being massively critical keeping that in mind.
we can do both, keep that it's an experiment in mind and be critical

Erased is one of my favorite anime in the past few years imo.

And they’re an overhated studio imo.

Not to get too off-topic but Erased is no where near as good as its made out to be. Sanbe Kei is good at creating a good premise but he can't follow through it to the end. His other manga are the same. Erased became bad because the source itself falls off after a while.

In regards to A-1, I feel like the A-1 magic will make it a success regardless of how its adapted because Aniplex producers in general seem to know how to make successful, business-wise, anime. I personally have yet to read Neverland but its possible that they'll moefy the kids, especially Emma, into a moeblob to make it appeal even more to otaku. This series can't air during the day so in terms of discs, otaku are the ones who buy it, unless it causes a social phenomenon like AoT. It will also most likely be fast paced which means that they may very well get through a good amount of content. I heard the first arc is fantastic and the following are less so but still great. They may very well do the first and the following in 24. As it stands, in terms of boosts, I've seen that fast paced anime tend to give the biggest boosts however at the same time, they tend to drop off after a year or so.

I enjoyed the Taizai anime more than the manga. But as I said, I’m not that big a fan of it in general. It’s a boring series Imo.

Erased was a successful adaption all and all. It just fumbled in the end. But that doesn’t take away from the great execution in the beginning.

Never seen Ace Attorney, but aren’t Video Game adapted manga usually hit or miss in general

A-1 adaptations for the most part are the epitome of average. They do their job and are still largely enjoyable, rarely being outright bad, but there are far better options. So I wouldn’t necessarily be disappointed if A-1 ends up doing it.

Rather, seems like the only time A1 actually puts decent effort into their projects is when they're dealing with SAO. Anything else gets the standard attention.

As long as there are no CGI demons it will be ok. Any predictions on when it's coming out? I say winter season 2018/2019.

Give A-1 a chance Neverland fans. Shit can be much, much worse. It'll get a huge boost first year without a doubt, but will fade from there going off the past.

I'm not really a big fan of Taizai either, but it was a mediocre at best.

Erased could've been even better if the pacing was that bad.

You're right, however Ace Attorney is a visual novel and they're usually easier to adapt than other kinds of video games. I mean look at S;G, F/Z or F/SN. I haven't seen the latter two yet, but they are good adaptations from what I've heard.

It shouldn't really be that hard to adapt a visual novel like Ace Attorney into an anime, especially considering that Ace Attorney doesn't even have several routes like Steins;Gate or the Fate series.

They just did a terrible job. I mean they didn't even take the original voice actors from the most recent game. On top of that they adapted two games in 24 episodes. One of them would've already been hard to fit in 24 episodes, yet they made the pacing so fast that they could fit two in there.

And the animation and soundtrack is terrible on top of that. They used some of the soundtracks from the games, but the remixes sounded awful and some of the best soundtracks weren't even used. The character design was terrible. I mean why not use the official character design from capcom since they already look like anime characters?

They simply didn't put any effort in it and made it as a quick cash grab. And even worse, their plan actually worked and it got high TV ratings.

Never seen so much unjustified hate for A-1. lol Blend S, Demi-chan, Working, Idolmaster, Saenai Heroine, Sora no Woto and plenty of other are really good anime and adaptations. But otherwise, that will depend much more on the staff than the studio itself. A bad studio to pick Neverland would be Gonzo or some studio that is a whatever.

And while it was confirmed that yonkou never said that, A-1 never made an adaptation of any shounen jump (or Shueisha afaik) so no need to worry.

Blue Exorcist... Also a reminder that Bones had never done a Jump property pre-MHA... Just because it hasn't happened before, doesn't mean it won't.

if A-1/Cloverworks
pls Ishiguro or Ito direct it

I don't think it's Wit since the only things they've done where Aniplex was involved was Noitamina stuff, though Yonkou's teased it once so who knows.

Never watched it. Maybe I only pick their good shows haha I don't think that I ever watched a battle shounen by them

And you're right, everything has it's first time.

*comes out of lurking*

I personally have yet to read Neverland but its possible that they'll moefy the kids, especially Emma, into a moeblob to make it appeal even more to otaku.
Then they should just make a new season of Gakkou Gurashi. Don't get me wrong, I love moe stuff too but making Emma moe would just not fit. I don't mind slightly altering the design but if they turn her into some Kirara moe girl and add forced fanservice, I'll probably have to cry myself to sleep.

Many think that A-1 sucks in general. I thought so too at one point.

The shows you listed are the types that A-1 excels at. But the ones A-1 does not excel in are shows like Magi, NanaTai, Ao no Exorcist, BokuMachi and Kuroshitsuji (seasons 1 and 2, 3 was nice). I know these boosted their popularity but their adaptations were...questionable and yes, boosting the manga is what matters at the end of the day, but fans of the original work have the right to voice their opinions.

I'm probably in the minority here since I'm used to watching shoujo and otome anime get many crappy adaptations but I'd take Gonzo any day if they stuck to the story properly. No amount of fancy animation can save a show for me if they butcher the story. It would just be a polished turd.

I could totally see TPN on Noitamina. And on a yearly basis, at least one show from this block is from A-1, while the others are from a variety of studios.
