I don't read Neverland, I couldn't personally get into it, but isn't it a little early for it to be getting an anime announcement with how its story is written?

if A-1/Cloverworks
pls Ishiguro or Ito direct it

I don't think it's Wit since the only things they've done where Aniplex was involved was Noitamina stuff, though Yonkou's teased it once so who knows.
He teased studio WIT?

It will have a 100 chapters by the time it comes out. Not too early. And theres clear arc stopping points for the anime.

Huh I was thinking of it get the Death note treatment where its anime won't start until the manga was nearing/ended it's run as a manga. The reason being I've heard that not much happens in the chapters more dialogue then actual animate able material.

Well we don't even have an announcement yet. For all we know it could air 18 months from now when the series is close to or already finished.

Its just a rumor for now.

I honestly don't think WIT will get the tone right but that's just me. Just for the the love of god don't get Sawano to compose the music

Rather, seems like the only time A1 actually puts decent effort into their projects is when they're dealing with SAO. Anything else gets the standard attention.
SAO had its own issues across both season as any fan could attest that wasn't related to the issues the source of material already had.
Not to get too off-topic but Erased is no where near as good as its made out to be. Sanbe Kei is good at creating a good premise but he can't follow through it to the end. His other manga are the same. Erased became bad because the source itself falls off after a while.

In regards to A-1, I feel like the A-1 magic will make it a success regardless of how its adapted because Aniplex producers in general seem to know how to make successful, business-wise, anime. I personally have yet to read Neverland but its possible that they'll moefy the kids, especially Emma, into a moeblob to make it appeal even more to otaku. This series can't air during the day so in terms of discs, otaku are the ones who buy it, unless it causes a social phenomenon like AoT. It will also most likely be fast paced which means that they may very well get through a good amount of content. I heard the first arc is fantastic and the following are less so but still great. They may very well do the first and the following in 24. As it stands, in terms of boosts, I've seen that fast paced anime tend to give the biggest boosts however at the same time, they tend to drop off after a year or so.
Honestly my only avarice towards how they handle Neverland is the character designs. For the adaptation of Seven Deadly Sins they had to sacrifice a lot of Nakaba's detailed art so the many impressive spreads look terrible animated and the art in TPN is already very rough around the edges so any screw-ups would make it look very unappealing in anime form.

Black Clover guide book cover :

Awesome cover is awesome.

PD: Now Kimetsu is the only 2016 title with no anime ''announcement''

EDIT: Time for my little review of other Jump new titles (Noah's Notes was done on friday)

Jujutsu
Main Character inner Hollow achieved another finger and is now in body control for now. He even removed his heart lol

Ziga
Ziga Main character looks different from usual Ziga (maybe there are 2? Mysterious girl is still there). And he still had some little control of his body. Also, like Attack on Titan, he goes out of flesh same way

That's how they get ya.
I’m shook thinking of the cheesy slogans they’ll use for hype speak that it’s different.

“A gritty story full of grit”
“A mystery that’s mysterious”
“What if I told you that there’s a world where children and demons can coexist? * Matrix voice*”

You know Funimation will get on this and give it the same cringey slogans they did to promote Attack On Titan and Steins:Gate
"Its the Walking Dead of Anime!"
"Its Like Somebody Taped Over An Episode of The Big Bang Theory Over A Copy of Donnie Darko"
And of course who can forget
"Bobbies FTW" :facepalm

I'll be hard pressed to see this attract a wide audience since its not really action orientated like other hit shounen titles in fact if they're going to cover what is the equivalent of 5 to 6 volumes into a 13 episodes we're looking into some slow pacing. If only Dezaki was still alive he could have blown it out of the part with his direction.

I could see Netflix licensing Neverland. It can sorta tap into their Stranger Things fanbase

I never thought of that. Though I feel that holding it off while it airs will kill hype simialr to what happened with Nanatsu no Taizai and Little Witch Academia despite how perfect Neverland would be for binge watching.

Might be nothing, (or a jump+ series) but from the latest update of the Shueisha 40 thing (which is at 56 now), the only one that coincide with a weekly jump release date is this series,
using google translate I got "Super Haiku world transfer home Deus Exakina" which I doubt is a Cocohana series (that will also come out the same day).

Surprised people actually want NETFLIX to get it, the NETFLIX curse and death trap of holding animes hostage for Americans until months after airing would harm the shows hopes of getting mainstream big while airing.

I wonder what the odds of Viz going for it are. Not counting late pick-ups (JoJo, HxH) or sequels (Boruto) the last WSJ series they got was Bakuman? (although they brand OPM as Shonen Jump so I guess it kinda counts)

You mean "only title over 15 months old without an anime announcement". Man, that's actually so ridiculous to think about

They have Captain Tsubasa as well and aren't simulcasting it... So please no lol. Though I'd assume they would simulcast TPN because it's much more likely to be successful.

Anyone but Viz. They've managed to fuck up every single new license they get their hands on with late subs and piss poor domestic releases.

As someone in a Country/Region that only get 1-2 crunchyroll series per season... I won't mind Amazon Prime Video or Netflix, let everyone suffers lol

Although my regional licencor would be extremely stupid if they don't get TPN when it come.
