Sure, but that's different from "High schoolers play golf", which you initially stated, because, well, they don't really.
4% of high schoolers play golf is still some playing golf. I didnt say all high schoolers play golf or most high schoolers play golf.Sure, but that's different from "High schoolers play golf", which you initially stated, because, well, they don't really.
It's 2% for high schoolers as I posted above. And actually, since that demographic is 15-19, that also includes some middle schoolers and university students after high school, so the actual percentage for high school students is even lower. It appears very negligible. I imagine the serialization stems more from the general want for sports manga from a veteran author (especially with 2020 ever looming in the distance) and the potential that golf might have with the younger demographic, than the actual demographic already playing it.4% of high schoolers play golf is still some playing golf. No, Buddy Strike KAITO should try baseball again. It was great.Fujimaki should try to do a baseball manga. I imagine it being a 21th century version of Astro Kyudan, which would be nice
Honestly if I had a failed Jump series no matter how good I thought it was I'd probably stay as far away from it as possible for my next try.No, Buddy Strike KAITO should try baseball again. It was great.
I disagree, Kaito should develop another real life rom com in a monthly magazine after Ao No Flag is finished, preferably something like male modeling. No, Buddy Strike KAITO should try baseball again. It was great.

Well, King Golf is still ongoing for some reason, even though the mangaka himself is now in a position that everybody would understand if he decided to end and start another sport series. It's 2% for high schoolers as I posted above. I might be wrong here but sumo wrestling is a Japanese and a part of their tradition and culture unlike golf. That'd be the most obvious difference.I doubt Sumo is very popular among children either, yet Hinomaru Zumou is getting an anime.
Yes and no. It is Japanese national sport, but it is considered a sacred ritual rather than a sport, and as a sport it ends up being more niche than other sports like baseball or soccer that are more mainstream, for various reasons.I might be wrong here but sumo wrestling is a Japanese and a part of their tradition and culture unlike golf. The next jump is #24 on 5/14, notice the preview pageI've been wondering but does anyone know how English Jump will stay up to date with Japanese Jump? Since they won't have issue 23 out until May 7th when it's out in Japan today and May 7th Japan would have issue 24 out. Just want to make sure I'm not mistaken lol
Your point is true but you're forgetting about Days and Diamond no Ace Act 2 in Shounen Magazine in that comparison. You can say all you want about Golf not being popular, but the series still sells like 70k in two weeks, which is still a high amount compared to many series based off 'popular' sports in other large magazines like Young Jump (Rikudou & Bungo - Boxing and Baseball don't even chart at 3+ years of age) or Shounen Mag (Though they don't have many atm) can sell... It's already proved it can gain a fanbase, even if it's only of Fujimaki fans. I honestly don't think golf's popularity matters, though obviously it'll never be Kuroko levels of success, but I don't think anyone expects it to be either.

You're kidding and they're not going to pick it but the art of Kitaro 2018 in it's spooky parts would be pretty good for Kimetsu. Somehow it reminds me of Kimetsu.Watch Kimetsu be animated by Toei and have crossovers with Kitaro.
I hope that's a sign of an anime announcement.
