About predictions, I only made a prediction last year with the six new manga. I thought that all of them would survive except for U19 and Poro. In the end I got 3 right since hungry marie died.

Dragon Quest was a pretty popular 90s manga in Jump so it makes sense that they would include it.
Yeah, I was going to say this.

I was thinking they include it because Toriyama (WSJ legend) designed the characters and monsters

since you know, the original DQ game is older than Dai manga

I like how they include Dragon Quest as a Jump title

interesting that Sekiryuuou (9 volumes), Tenchi o Kurau (4 volumes), Ankoku Shinwa (1 volume) all got games

Tenchi o Kurau actually inspired multiple games not included in this video
DQ is a jump title.

A video with the 20 Jump games from that special Famicon (didn't know it is going to be golden color)

You could classify them as:
-2 Jump general games (like the DS Jump Ultimate Stars. Still, second game has only 7 characters)
-3 Dragon Ball games
-2 Saint Seiya games
-2 Hokuto no Ken games
-2 Captain Tsubasa games
-2 Kinnikuman games
-2 Hiroshi Motomiya works games (remember, he's Otoko Ippiki author. Both of his titles there are historical manga)
-1 Rokudenashi Blues game (please, get an anime for once)
-1 Sakigake Otokojuku game
-1 Magical Taruruto-kun game
-1 Dragon Quest game
-1 bizarre game (from one 1977 work which had only 1 volume and had only 5 chapters)

PD: No Ring ni Kakero or Play Ball games :(
I used to love the Captain Tsubasa games. The super kicks and whatnot. I still play em via emulators. Also, they were so fucking long.

Dai no Daibouken is a Jump title, the original game (shown in the video) is not

Dragon Quest is the franchise that inspired it, it's owned by Square Enix

I mean this is a WSJ-themed Famicom, not a Toriyama-themed Famicom. If they have a SNES version of this, you really think they'd throw in Chrono Trigger, just cause Toriyama designed the characters? That wouldn't make any sense, since Chrono Trigger has practically nothing to do with WSJ.

The original Dragon Quest makes sense because you can consider Dai no Daibouken a loose adaptation of the games with more fleshed out characters and Dai no Daibouken was a pretty important part of Jump in that era.

Obviously but it's in there as the original game because the manga in jump was based on the video game franchise.

Would be the same with Corocoro and Pokemon if we got a game boy classic.

Time to newbie reviews:

Act-tage
More talk between MC and that other girl. Looks like a confrontation between them is happening (not a fighting, more like a ''Shokugeki'')

Noah Notes
We are in a ship now. Chapter totally dedicated to that chinese paleontologist (Noah almost didn't appear in the chapter): Now we know he is able to predict storms and has a psycho side which has terrified gyaru-chan. Oh, and Noah is able to obliverate sea storms with a gun shoot
With Act-Age's first volume sales, it seems unlikely that it'll last more than 4 volumes, but I still find it interesting. If Spring Weapon got to stick around for over a year, I'll hold out to see if Act-Age can have better volume 2 sales and/or shockingly good digital sales.

Noah's Notes and Act-Age are the only 2 new series I've really enjoyed, but the upcoming slime one looks cute. I don't really have a strong feeling one way or the other over the shogi series, not really interested in Jujutsu, and I wish Ziga could've ranked dead last. At least it looks like Ziga should be the first of the remaining stuff to go.

It's not on the same league as those series in terms of popularity. All of those series shown will be remembered for many, many, many years to come. As a big fan of Toriko, I can't say the same sadly. Even when Toriko ended, only Oda/Sorachi gave it a farewell which proves my point pretty much.

It should be noted that within that display, Heroaca, Haikyuu and Kochikame are the only series that haven't/didn't hit 1 million first printing during their run. The rest did. Simply based on this, Toriko being there wouldn't really be that strange. Reborn and D-Gray-man are also not there.

Did Jump decide comedy is dead or something? Other than rom-coms and Gintama (which might eventually end at some point) there would be none left.

Well simply based on this I can say that may be so.

The MC starts questioning whether everything they saw till now was a long dream they saw after reading the picturebook their mom wrote.

A flashback also happens simply based on picture like this:

What the heck? This is really strange if it actually does end. Maybe the new slime thing may replace Lycopene if that is the case. I really, really want Jump to up its comedy line-up in the near future. I need something hysterical to replace the void that Saiki has left.

Makes sense, it was always weird Jump just decided from the start that Lycopene would be safe redgardless of how it performed. Though that means possibly nothing else is ending this round.

Well, if that allows Act-Age to go on for a bit longer, then so be it. I didn't mind Lycopene and thought some bits were kind of funny, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see for sure.
