I get how people are frustrated with Viz, and they definitely don’t take as many risks as they should, but pretty much all of their recent decisions for the last few years are perfectly justified if you think about it. Honestly, the biggest problem with Viz is their neglection of the digital market. It takes like a year after acquiring a license to get a spot on bookshelves, which massively slows the process, but Kodansha has found a way around that through Digital. In the past year, they’ve caught up on countless series that they wouldn’t have even started releasing yet if they were doing simultaneous print/digital releases. Viz could’ve done exactly the same with Kimetsu and other series, but they’e not. I was honestly hoping their recent big announcement was an update to their sales model, because its definitely what they need right now. They are starting to do Digital-first releases, but theyre not early enough for there to really be any point to them.

Digital first releases for viz started way back when they had food wars and one punch man. Not really new.
Not seeing which series youre talking about for kodansha. Even series like uq holder is still following the digital version is out the same day as the print volume.
because a Volume doesn't have to come out every other month, that would be impractical because there would be less chapter published in the magazines during the gap between the volumes than the usual amount of chapters in a volume.... they need to give it some space.
they would release a volume when it is ready,
Could anyone give me the link to preorder? Is it possible to get it from Japan or is it Japan only? Il spend 500$ if I have to but I'm getting that art book.

Leaks of the new OP spinoff, Chin Piece, have been posted. Oda's message apologizing and stating this is official:
The following are the pictures but they may be NSFW depending on who you are...
The story doesn't focus on the SWs.
Instead it focuses on a kid that apparently looks up to Luffy. He says he can't stretch his body like luffy but what he "discovered" that with his "human" body, the only thing that will stretch is his penis. You can see in the montage that he then sets out training his penis to stretch it as much as he can. In the last page, his "dream" is to "Become the Penis King". Its a homage to Luffy's line and it doesn't actually have that kind of adult nuance as this is very much a kids manga.
