Stage play Tsuna is really one of the best choices Ive seen in these.

Is Ufotable actually any good? It seems like all they do is video game adaptions so I've never actually seen any of their work. Is it actually a good fit for Kimetsu no Yaiba?
Its in their territory.

I guess the big thing will be how will they handle doing a manga which seems more restricting to adapt than something like an online browser game of sword boys or an 60-80 hr JRPG in 24 episodes.

You know ? at first I was worried they were gonna do a stage play on the inheritance ceremony arc but now that I see the poster that's daily life Tsuna which means their gonna do the first arc it is strange tho first the blu rays then the Bunko Edition and now this ? I hope none of this leads to nothing.

If its a stage play I guess that's a nail on the coffin of any chances of an anime sequel happening its a shame was hoping Katekyo Hitman Reborn would get a D gray man style sequel.
Is'nt it the other way around? A stage play is a tool to test the water and if there's enough demand, an anime sequel can be made. It even has the VA of Reborn ready for action as soon as the sequel is green-lit.

I sure hope that is the case one of my dreams is to have Katekyo Hitman Reborn X My Hero Academia, kinda like what happen with One Piece and Toriko.

I'd really like to get it... but I'm cautious because ¥17,000 is a bit steep, especially when that doesn't even cover shipping, etc. These better be some high quality artbooks.

EDIT: The order ends up being ¥20,000 for me, yikes.

I want to get it but I don't have disposable income... saving money is a possibility if it is coming to my local Kinokuniya

When was the last time or even a time that that happened?

Its kinda hard to say given that they don't really venture outside their comfort zone being mainly videogame adaptations but they've been around long enough that you can distinguish their production quirks pretty easily (low quality CG with filters upon filters upon filters). The last manga adaptation they did was Gyo which was pretty freaking bad then they became known as the Type Moon factory until stepping out to due the infamously bad God Eater and then they did those Tales of adaptations that nobody cared for because they were based on Zestiria. So they're very much the definition of a mixed bag with mostly good Type Moon adaptations and most meh everything else. There's already some worrying signs with them seemingly abandoning the unique sketchy art to make it more cleaner from the looks of the first visual and the fact that their previous manga adaptations were not the best but on the production standpoint it could very much end up being the best looking Shounen Jump adaptation alongside Trust and Betrayal IF the production doesn't go to shit.

tldr; Not much to worry about but this is a fairly new venture for the studio so its not a guarantee that things will go smoothly like say BONES and I.G. but on the other hand it definitely won't look like shit which is guaranteed with studios like Toei Philippines and Pierrot.

Although there is no clear correlation I can make, a stage play of Ao no Exorcist was preforming 5 months before the second season went on air and was announced 2 months before the return of the anime. The previous stage play in 2014 was about the anime's arc and the one that followed was about the next arc.

technically that Fate cooking show they're currently doing is based on a manga but that's only 12 minute episodes once a month.
I tend to group all Type Moon adaptations together since they're obviously of higher quality than the rest of their output and of course not all of them are based on VNs but you're right.

17000 yen making it twice the amount of the Jojoveller's artbook.

This better be printed on gold leaf.

A Reborn x Heroaca OVA or episode is almost impossible. It worked with OP and Toriko because both of those shows air on the same TV station and Toei holds the anime rights to both. That's also why they could put DB in with those two as well. Reborn however aired on TV Tokyo whereas Heroaca airs on YTV/NTV. It'll be easier to do a Conan x Heroaca OVA than Reborn x Heroaca. Not to say it may never happen but besides both being Jump series, there is nothing else connecting them. Rave x Fairy Tail probably happened despite different TV stations because both are Mashima works.

Was God Eater or any of Ufotable's flop animes done by the same team that worked on the Fate series? I'm not sure if their director/staff is consistent through out all their anime or not.

Toshiyuki Shirai who directed Katsugeki was an animation director on Fate Zero and an episode director on God Eater. They do tend to overlap but not often but I feel Kimetsu will be done by the guys who did Zesteria the X. Its important to note that the reason why God Eater had so much overlap was because they needed as many people as possible to fix it hence why it was such a mess on the production standpoint but I heavily doubt that Kimetsu will suffer the same fate and its best to just wait and see.
