That still doesn't mean all new mangaka should read that book.
it's just a way of talking, I can not force anyone to read anything.

Honestly, Luffy is the only one I like, besides Senku purely for the technical skill. The rest are so bland or have questionable choices. Why does Hinata look taller than normal and why is he eating the mouth piece? Why are some of the characters like Tanjiro and the Ziga dude staring straight at you? Why does Emma's face look almost grotesque? Why does Boruto look like he should be named Brayden/Ayden/Jayden?

On the flip side though, Tanjiro's bow-sword is really cool and I would love to see something like Breath of Music added to the manga.

I do wonder if the editorial department has changed how they handle their artists in recent years. This change hasnt just been since the new EiC took over, its been way back since like 2015 that all the series have felt like a mess. Even out of the successes since then, Id argue that Neverland and Kimetsu are the only two series that don’t have some glaringly stupid issues. BC is fine as well I suppose, just because its supposed to be a mess. Yuuna had a solid start but quickly went to shit, and it seems the editor change is somewhat responsible. Dr Stone, Bokuben and RxL have all been all over the place their entire runs too, and it feels like its coming from bad guidance of sorts. Then there’s all this cancel fodder, most of which arent even written to be remotely interesting.

I know it seems like the norm nowadays that series get cancelled because they suck, but not that long ago a decent amount of the new series that got cancelled were actually interesting and good, they just got outcompeted by better series. Thats what should be happening. Surely such a large amount of these artists cant be as incompetent as their writing shows. Hell, some of the new series that are popping up in other magazines pretty much prove this isnt the case. Artists like Horikoshi and Togashi have commented on how much influence editors have on an author’s work before they gain the confidence to be assertive with their own directions, so I do feel like the current state of the magazine is largely the fault of the editors. Every new series seems to suffer from the same issues.

They shouldn't. It's better if they can come up with something special on their own from their own influences, by doing that, a mangaka can create his/her own identity and evolve with time. If someone's influence is Araki, then you can bet they'll read the book. If every mangaka decided to take heavy inspiration from One Piece and it's formula, that wouldn't end well.
I read Art books like that all the time, and buy tons of "how to", and the "The art of *Insert Animated Film*" artbooks all the time. I wouldn't say it dictates how I create art.
But getting tips from people who are already successful, whether you're a fan or not, is always helpful, which is what I'm sure he was saying

Speaking of Saguri-chan, I finally got around to reading all the chapters and I've been enjoying it a lot. I'm really not a fan of that new girl though, hopefully she chills out.

Nice to see improvements for Jigokuraku, now if only Viz could catch up quickly to the latest chapter.

According to Tabata Asta is the fifth worst singer.

I saw some comments before saying that early Kimetsu no Yaiba was close to get cancelled, is that true?
