I'm also more inclined to believe it's a Noble over someone already being charged from the start of the game, and to use his 1-shot Noble powers in such a random fashion. It wouldn't surprise me if it were Xad just using his Noble powers for no reason. Though with some pre-words about it he could've just confirmed himself no?

Vand - None fit
Crescent - None fit, was only townie 1 time and she was very lucky with it
So it can only be Holt. But I don't recall any times where he was particularly unlucky with a certain townie role
