He's not writing Dr. Stone. Bare in mind most mangaka don't just draw they also have to write and plan their works
That's probably the only reason why he can handle two weekly serializations at the same time. He must be incredibly fast and efficient at drawing and paneling. Are there any other mangaka that were able to handle two weekly serializations at the same time?

Hiroya Oku did Gantz and Me-teru no Kimochi from 2006 to 2007 for Weekly Young Jump.

Think about storyboarding, page distribution, dialogues, internal logic and cliffhangers. Think about the anime, sales and other products related to the series. And then, of course, draw. It must be hell.

And people wonder why Kubo isn't itching to make another manga.

That's why there should be more writer and artist duos. Split the burden so that each person can give it their all on their own task.

Nah it was a Japanese studio. Their founder died so they shut down. Last time, Studio Pierrot also helped them out with the second half of DIU but I don't think they'll be able to lend a hand again because they already have their plates full with Black Clover, Boruto and another show.

I think the part 5 with split cour will be fine but if it's like DiU then it'll be a different story.
Alright, I heard about Pierrot helping out too.

They have the first episode to showcase in July so I'm not that worried. However, I am really nervous about the staff change now I look into it the director change. I loved the directing from the previous parts and with these new director I doubt they'll live up to it. They would most definitely have to do split cour, no way they'll tackle this action heavy part for more than 2 cours.

Though I imagine it'd be extremely hard to keep a good relationship with whoever you're working with. Especially when it comes to art, people can be super opinionated, and being a manga artist potentially means years of putting up with each other's decisions in a super stressful environment. You can see why many duos don't stick together long, or do more than one series with each other. Definitely have to respect the people that manage it.

I mean, they don't really have a choice, they either get along together and work properly as a team or their manga fails and they both have to suffer. I think editors are probably the most useful and beneficial to duos.

Those chapters were all done months in advance and had very little content in them. Magazine does this all the time for promotion and it winds up not being anything other than to fill a quota. To his credit Mashima does have better time management but that comes with being in the field longer. I think Horikoshi would benefit from everything but weekly releases because its clear he works better with time on his plate just based on the tank versions alone and its sad that he just can't compensate and had to sacrifice the main manga because of the crossover. Tabata never really had much trouble until recently so maybe this is just a one-off thing where he missed the deadline which happens often to even the best mangaka.
On top of all those, Mashima still finds the time to post sketches on twitter and finish FFXV under 36 hours... That's not amazing at all. That's inhuman.

The first chapter of his new work is 80 pages as well. This would all be impressive if he wasn't such a terrible writer.

Tabata has the weekly series, anime script checks with SP, the guidebook cover and whatever info in there to look over, and PS4 game input.

Hori has the weekly series, anime checks with Bones, Volume Origin cover and content, game input, and weekly sketches for the anime.

I think they're doing alot right now in terms of the average author but it's unfortunate it seems to bite them moreso than anyone else in the magazine.

I hope Fujimaki returns with the Archer manga.

Just 36 hours?

I see, he skipped some sidequests.

"Oh my health is detoriating and is in bad shape, quick let me start another weekly serialisation and take up all that pressure and responsibilities again. That should help"
I can only imagine one of the main reasons why kishimoto is taking so long to debut the new series is because he's fucking enjoying the off time.

I'll miss the hell out of Robot x Lazerbeam, but at least now we can get Vanguard no Archer.

I hope not, but it doesn't really make sense for Shueisha to be promoting it with a color page if they're just gonna cancel it, does it? Plus it looked like they were doing some sort of cross promotion thing with Jujutsu Kaisen, so maybe this is just a coincidence.
