I guess the "raising the curtain for the BNHA official spin-off series" would pertain to this spin off?
This is misleading indeed. But it is confirmed with the author's word in the contents;)

Watashi no Hero Academia : Special Oneshot. Author : "It was fun drawing the girls from My Hero Academia. I count on you for Saguri-chan Tankentai."

Starting in August, Shûeisha will increase the price of all these mangas. For the Shônen Jump series the price will go from 432 yens to 475 yens (tax included).

For Slam Dunk New Edition : As of June 8, 68.3% of the first volume had been sold. In addition, on 4 June, the first two volumes were reprinted at 50,000 copies each and volumes 3 to 6 to 30,000 copies each. Finally, a reprint of volumes 6 to 10 is already planned for August 3.

Also, remember that discussion about how most Jump series don't have announcements for their endings? Robot x Lazerbeam is yet another example.

RxL is getting cancelled, of course there's no ending announcement.

Most Jump series that end are cancelled. Even the popular ones and pretty much never get ending announcements (Shaman King, Toriko, Reborn!, etc.)
It still ran for over a year and sold quite well.

No. It got a color page for its final chapter but the ending was unnanounced.
Everyone just thought it was just a normal color page.

Don't remember Reborn getting announcement, but remember Toriko had. And searching about it, yeah it had: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ne...rmet-battle-manga-ends-on-november-21/.108667
No, the Toriko one was them announcing it was ending when the issue got leaked a week before official release as it always does. ANN gets most of their info on Jump matters from here.

Still plenty more examples as well like Beelzebub, Kuroko no Basuke, Medaka Box, Nisekoi (even if the fact that it was ending was obvious).
Slam Dunk I believe.

Toriko got an ending announcement and Shaman King got cancelled. not sure on Reborn though.

also

- Medaka Box's final mini-arc was all about fakeout endings so an announcement would've ruined it
- Beel got shifted to a different magazine for an epilogue finale (it essentially got soft-cancelled)
- Kuroko had a final epilogue match in another magazine, so it hadn't really ended yet either

I don't think having a small final arc in another mag changes the fact that they left the mag without an announcement.
Also, those final arcs aren't technically counted as the main series even if they're intended to work as endings.

I suppose that's true for Kuroko but Beel had been perma-bottom for a while, the anime was a failure,, and, considering the finale stuff in the other magazine wasn't really anything special or different from its normal comedy chapters and could easily have run in the normal series, I think it's fairly clear that Jump shifted it to make space (essentially making it a cancelled series).

"This year's 50th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that Mitsutoshi Shimabukuro's Toriko manga will end in the magazine's next issue on November 21." - Posted on 10th November, with issue 50 coming on 14th November and 51 coming on 21st November.

Their article states that the 50th issue (coming out on 14th November), says the manga ends in 51st issue (21st November). And you are saying we got full issue 51 before issue 50 came out? Sure, that happens for the preview included in 50th, but to be like RxL case, you say 50 and 51 issue fully leaked out before 50 even officially came out. It's too obvious that 50th issue contained announcement that Toriko was ending in 51st issue.

Sorry, but I can't see why are you arguing about it. Sure, lots of manga didn't get announcements for their ending, but I'm saying you made small mistake for Toriko, show you evidence and you go and argue about it...

edit: https://readms.net/r/toriko/395/3792/31
Bottom, says final chapter arrives next week. Isn't that announcement?

Popular series that were cancelled not getting announcements is exactly my point though.
Original reason I made this post was because recently a user remarked that Shokugeki couldn't end because there was no announcement.
Now while Shokugeki hasn't ended, the recent developments certainly seem like the developments of a soon to be cancelled manga. If it were to end it would not get an announcement.
Sorry if my logic is convoluted, my head is cluttered right now.

I was incorrect about Toriko. Sorry. I was relying on my memory for Toriko and was wrong. Does not invalidate anything else I've said.

No, in this case, they just reported it ended after they saw the last chapter that stated it is the end (like RxL case). In Toriko's case there was 1 week in advance stating next chapter is final.
oh okay speaking of Toriko I edit my post wondering why it doesn't have its own Fan apparition day for 50th anniversary ( I also translated the ones that do)
