Mag Talk Weekly Shonen Jump [2018] - Discussion and TOC Talk

[Franz]

You say it as if it were a bad thing XD

Don't insult Toriko like that! It was at least successful for the first year after its anime.

I hope you understand even just a little bit that does not make any sense to make comparisons since now with the digital sales all the manga sell less than in the past.

And whether you like it or not, Black Clover is successful. Watch the sales surge compared to last year ...

Don't mind them. Just ruling Shonen Jump.

[Tamil]

Goku looks creepy lol

---------------

I totally expect (and hope) Jump logo cameos in all Jump titles of the 50th anniversary week (like Luffy strawhat cameo for One Piece 20th anniversary, Ryotsu eyebrows for Kochikame final chapter, or Naruto symbols in Naruto final chapter week).

For example, this scene in Act-tage:

Goku looks creepy lol

It's Guffy XD

[Reigen]

Goku looks dumber than he is in DB Super.

One piece, naruto, and bleach are technically on the cover together

When did we last see that happen?

[SharkBait]

darn Planet With naming the obligatory femchar childhood friend slash classRep takamagahara will forever make me wish the jump manga of the same name was still with us. It was so good and memorable. and that artwork was stunning.

A big reprint heading out next week

That's certainly a great sign!

I had read the first three chapters of Jujutsu but didn't see anything special other than certain visual choices. Now, with all this hype, I'm tempted to read again.

[shoyoboyo]

I just wanna see some sales numbers for Jujutsu and Act-Age already. I'm curious to see how well they're really doing.

Seems like a Jump related program will air today on NHK BS1 at 22:00 JST

Past manga artists will apparently make an appearance

It shows the moment when the editor announces to Fujimaki that Robot x Laserbeam is cancelled.

[MangAniMY]

It shows the moment when the editor announces to Fujimaki that Robot x Laserbeam is cancelled.

It also showed Keiji Amatsuka being told he is getting serialized... Balanced... I guess...

I should've screencap the moment he made a peace sign...

[Newkerzy]

Wait, seriously? I mean, seriously!!?? What the hell, Jump??!! Why in the world you show the moment someone getting canceled?? Are you trying to humiliate him or something?? Granted, he's a veteran, but that doesn't change the fact you shouldn't show someone getting fired in public.

It is a process, the life cycle of a series, also it is a documentary (of sorts)

[Mankichi Togawa]

I wouldn't be surprised if Fujimaki decides to cut ties with Shueisha after that. Still, Kuroko no Basket is one of most merchandised Jump manga still in this year, but that was too harsh to show that in TV.

I'm very interested in the interviews to all these legendary mangaka. Especially Motomiya and Katsura. Crossing fingers to see that special subbed soon.

[CuriousReborn]

Im pretty sure he knew about that otherwise it wouldn't be shown.
