Wasn't this his editor and not him to begin with ? And they wont film if they didn't agree to it in the first place.

Even if it's his editor it doesn't make it much better. The way it was presented was still awful and the editor also basically lost his job.

Also I'm fairly certain they were given multiple notices about the impending cancellation if ranks or reception didn't improve. This was more than likely not a surprise to them which might also have been a reason why they probably allowed it to air.

So, I've read that Burn the Witch is in the same situation as Build King; if the oneshot is succesful, it wll get serialized.

Every oneshot is a potential serialisation if the writer wants to try to submit it as one.

I seriously doubt Kubo will ever go back to WSJ though considering the health issues he had because of the schedule and stress, at least not unless it's a mini-series like Toriyama would occasionally do.

I don't think Kubo wants to serialise it. From what I know, he's only doing the one shot because Nakano asked him to. If Kubo ever comes back, I don't expect it to happen for a long, long time.
