This is my first thread for Nanatsu no Taiza, and I haven't been able to explore the NNT sub-forumi. I just started reading ALL the chapters a couple of weeks ago, and I'm finally I'm caught up. One character that piqued my utmost interest, and that is Arthur Pendragon.

Arthur is one of my favorite characters., and seeing him die is just heart-breaking. The fact that his magical power hasn't yet awaken before he died makes me think that his character had just been wasted. Is that it?...

Is Arthur really dead?
Has he really served his purpose onto the entire manga plot?
If not, in what particular moment will Arthur's importance would be the most crucial?

I'm starting to think that the Demon King arc is not the final arc of the series. I'm thinking that there's more to come for Arthur and his and Camelot's importance to the NNT universe other than just a plot device...

No, he isn't dead. And if he is he will awaken sooner or later. Nakaba is planning to draw another manga with Arthur as MC after NNT.

Arthur isn't dead.
There's still this prophecy that has to be full filled. And it'll probably happen during this very arc.
He'll be back soon enough.

Arthur's death is not confirmed. I'd say he's in a comatose-like state for the moment. Merlin wondered where his soul was.

I have little doubt that he'll wake up before the end of Nanatsu, but I don't know whether he'll have a spin-off in the end.

His role in the series, if anything, should be that of humanity's champion.

As you've been told, his death is not canon, I'm more than sure he's in a deep sleep and will awaken either by cath or because he's related to the supreme deity.

That would be dumb as hell.
Why create a plot point in this manga just to develop years later, and in a separate manga to boot?

I definitely see that prophecy being focused on in NNT,but just expanded upon in Arthur's sequel.

Why not? There both connected and in the same universe. Why not set the seeds for his own series in this one?

I don't because Arthur is a side character.

I don't think we are going to see it either, but maybe a prelude to it. Arthur is a bit popular in the story right now but this is just the beginning. I just hope we'll at least see a bit what is his Magic.

of which we don't have a clue what it's like, I really hope the magic that nakaba will give arthur is at the same level as the hype we have since it was mentioned.

There's nothing wrong sowing seeds, but it's quite a stretch to think that a single mention is all the focus the crux of Arthur's sequel is going to get. There's bound to be something more.

I'd say he'll probably wake up this arc, but there's no way the child of hope/leader of Britannia prophecy is going happen in this manga imo. I also doubt he'll get full control of Excalbur before the manga ends, even awakening to his magic seems questionable, Nakaba needs to save some development for Arthur's manga, he cant just start off at max power. Arthur's just a side character in NNT, i doubt any future contributions he makes to the main plot will be any greater than the contributions he's made so far.

The whole story could be about that. Arthur said he is going to show Merlin a world she has never seen before. Through the manga we'll see what will turn Arthur into a legend, he has already lot of hype in NNT alone. Right now, he isn't ready but I am expecting at least a good fight with his Magic awakened.

I think Arthur's mind is awake and polishing his excalibur. I think Zel saying about Mel doing some series of training pars himself with the DK is like a hiny Arthur is in a series of training with his sword and when he wakes up hes like sureal

if you are only training his mind, it will be of little use because his body continues with the damage it currently has, as they only healed the wounds caused by using excalibur, but not the wound caused by stabbing, so if he wakes up and removes the sword, he will die because he will bleed to death, which is not very good to say, so, an external force with incredible power should intervene to help my child wake up.

Honestly I don't want a spin-off just to showcase Arthur's character. I don't want him to undergo the same as Sinbad from Magi - Labyrinth.

I kinda want for Arthur to have his character develop within the NNT storyline, rather than in a spin-off, something like.. he's the "final" boss of some sort, and see how the "Child of Hope" prophesy would affect the Seven Deadly Sins..

If Arthur is another from the Goddess Clan, I'm going to be so mad!

Youre underestimating the power of the mind bro. As we all know Arthur has hidden potential with OP magic. When hes doing intense training even in his mind hed be able to awaken it. We saw how it worked with Gohan training his mind fighting with someone, Jiren, Goku, etc.
