If Kishimoto ever plans on doing it anytime soon. He seems to be enjoying his off time quite a bit, as he should.

Its sad that despite Jump Victory Carnival currently running, we still don't have new animated footage for Sumou. Sure JVC might not be that sort of event like Jump Festa is but we should get something by now. There's little over 2 months left until airing and I barely see that much advertisement anywhere.

Yeah this is pretty much a budget adaptation similar to Beelzebub. A last hurrah to push the series before they decide to axe it similar to what happened with Medaka Box where they anime premiered was a huge flop and the series was axed a year later.

I don't think Zumou's is late. Gonzo stuff seems to be about 2 months prior to airing when the first PV with animation is show. Kakuriyo's first PV was Feb 8 and the show started early April, 18if's was May 26 and it started early July. Abika's Trip was Nov 8 and that started early Jan, etc. I believe both 18if and Akiba's Trip were loved by sakuga people (hadn't heard of Kakuriyo before this so no idea on that that) so I'd say expect the PV for that in August and it coming late doesn't really mean the animation will be poor.

I’m not crazy over his art, but I was never a hater, despite him having a reputation of being a huge douche.
