Fuck this heat. Fans and AC going all day in a closed, darkened bedroom and we still only got it down to 32C. In the sun it’s probably like 45C, no wind or clouds all day. And not the pleasant tropical warmth either, but just frying, burning sun constantly.

Also, half the country seems to be burning because people are idiots and defying the fire prohibition.

We've had some rain before the weekend, that only made things more unbearable unfortunaly.
Just killing off the plants etc. even faster, making everything fucking humid.

That's past now, so we're back to 40C+ outside again too, I'm sitting here at my desk with four tower-fans pointed towards me sweating my balls off like crazy.
This weather is fucking unbearable.

Yeah, but California burns the fuck up every year, doesn't it? :lmao

We don't really have those over here, I think the last big one was a few decades ago.
This however, is the 37th big nature-fire this summer. It's a rare occasion, but now it's just happening every other few days.

Few countries here that have a lot of problems with them every other few years though, like France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain, iirc.
But if I'm right that's been at least a decade too. For a big one anyway.

Yeah, I think a few of us Euros mentioned it the past couple of months... :heh

But yeah, for the past (almost) 3 months we've had no rain and only clear skies with a burning sun and it's insance temperatures.
Here in NL we had a handful of cities that experienced rainfall just before the past weekend, but that's it.
