Question Touka name being written as winter.

I was looking over the tv tropes pages and it was stated under touka entry that her name can be written as winter. I just wanted to double check this.

the wiki writes her name as トウカ can that really be written as winter?

If I had to guess, it would be because 凍った (frozen) is pronounced kotta. トウカ sounds similar, but doesn't directly mean winter unless there's a really obscure usage I'm not familiar with.

Winter is 冬 (fuyu). It is in Invel's title: 冬将軍 (romaji: fuyu shougun, english: Winter General). To my knowledge, winter is written in kanji and I have never seen someone write it in katakana. トウカ (touka) is katakana.

This reminds me of how "Touma" was one of the potential names Mashima was considering for Natsu's brother, along with "Fuyuki", "Mafuyu", and "Inberu" (Invel). That was before he decided to make his brother Zeref.
